  • Whether you are backpacking with a baby, or hiking with a baby this video should help you out. Backpacking with kids can be a great experience and our hiking tips will help you get the most out of our backpacking trip.
Our video starts with our backpacking gear breakdown. We go over the details of our backpacks for us and the baby. The first backpacking pack is the one that will carry most of the backpacking gear for the parents, an REI Traverse 85. This backpacking pack is expandable which is great because we will be using all of the space. The second backpacking pack is the Osprey Poco AG kid carrier. Our little one is not walking quite yet so we will be carrying him on this backpacking trip. The Osprey Poco AG is great for this and we also use it when hiking with our baby.
The trail is up to Round and Square Lakes near Sisters Oregon.

Would you take your baby backpacking? Would you have any major concerns?

“We’re old” about sums it up. I don’t remember the ground being so far down, especially when I’m trying to get up. Glamping is the way to go.

Haha right, my back hurt after sleeping in the dirt. I'll need to do this more often to get use to it.

You guys are AMAZING! I really admire you and love that you take Lincoln everywhere. What a childhood he is having-and he’s still the cutest baby on YT!

We love Lincolns muscle shirt when he's sitting in the highchair ❤. We were just exploring Silverton and Ouray with Shaun and Lauren and I think that's the same kid carrier that they have too. We enjoyed seeing your food spread as well. Great video! You two

love it! We took our daughter out for the first time at 3 weeks old and haven’t looked back (not backpacking, we had a teardrop and have since gotten a sprinter). We love watching her explore nature along with us and she takes the best naps on the hiking pack! Excited to jump into more of your videos. Safe travels!!

Haha, nicely done. Looks like a lot of work, but worth it for the fun and memories. We haven't been backpacking with our 18mo yet, but I'm psyched to try it as soon as we can stop working on our rig for a half a second! 😅😄
