Thank you for joining our family adventures :)
all young(ish) parents should watch your videos. you show that outdoor pursuits don't have to be put aside when a baby comes along. you just adjust your expectations and gear, rely on good judgement and skills to make the decisions that keep all safe. these hiking family videos are obviously a tremendous amount of work, i applaud you both for this effort. thank-you!
You are absolutely right ❤
It works if both parents share the same hobby, I can't get my partner in the hills
Brilliant. What an incredible achievement, with baby and dog in tow. Aife made me smile every time she looked into the camera lens.
Thanks so much Sue!
Aife and Oslo together...seriously cute!!! Well done to all 4 of you!!
Just watched this. One of your best!!! Well done. I have solo hiked and camped and understand the day to day challenges of juggling the "journey" with adverse weather..... watching you do this with a baby AND a dog AND filming it all was inspirational. As a mum (she's 21 years old now!) you are doing the very ,very best for your daughter. Early years are so very important and you two have nailed it. XXXX Emily
Well the star of this video is Aife, she’s so adorable! I admire you both for taking on this adventure! The Scottish country side is so beautiful, and the weather is, well typical for Scotland. God bless y’all!
What a fabulous adventure you all had. You both are such a inspiration to parents of young children and alike.
You have done phenomenal & such precious memories to look back on in years to come.
I don't normally comment on you tube videos, but I feel inspired to after reading an unpleasant comment yesterday. I want to help drown out the bad with some positivity :)
I think you (Athena) and your family show a prefect balance with family adventures. Some have children and then palm them off on others to continue the adrenaline filled adventures, and others just stop having adventures. It's so refreshing to see that when you adapt for them, young children can be involved too. Will be much harder with 2 little ones though!!
Thanks for bringing us along. Well done everyone.
Just gorgeous. Well done all 4 of you.
Well done guys. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
Fantastic! Well done all of you. What an experience, and brilliantly filmed and narrated!
A beautiful way to wake up to this morning.. Even at the trickiest of times you always have a positive outlook. Very inspiring.
Congratulations to you all in completing the Fjallraven Classic
What a lovely video to watch and such an achievement for your family to do together really well done 😊❤
Outstanding guys, truly inspirational. Congratulations!
Absolutely brilliant thanks so much guys thoroughly enjoyable and beautifully shot. xx
Great Sunday afternoon watch, great video!
You guys are beautiful souls. Well done. Love Oslo.
I felt for you all when the weather turned! Nothing worse than a bad nights sleep. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures as always!
Thank you for sharing this amazing adventures with us ❤❤❤
You are all such troupers!!!Great video
Well done that’s some trek.
Marvelous cinematography, shots are so touching and simply amazing! Brilliant work folks!!!
My favourite video of yours Athena! So lovely 💘
I think this is your best video yet! Amazing effort and shows how much you understand about hiking, especially looking after eachother with the terrain and weather. Well done Oslo 👏
What an amazing adventure! I love watching Aife sucking it all in! All the nature all the beautiful views, even the weather and of course the family moments that you invest in! You’re doing an amazing job!! ❤
Hi guys. The route through the Lairig Ghru, Glen Derry, Lairig an Laoigh & Ryvoan is just spectacular & one of my favourites. Wonderful to see you doing it with Aife & Oslo & what a buzz Aife will get when she's old enough to watch these videos back x
What a lovely video, and the enjoyment that you all had, including four legged family members, is clearly evident. I hope that you continue to inspire all parents to get their children into the outdoors.
Awesome guys well done a great family achievement and your going to have great memories 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Just brilliant you four! How inspiring to see you handle the weather and everything else with such calm acceptance and joy. Aife is one fortunate little girl. 💪😀🙌
I think this one of my favourites of yours yet (and I have many!). I can't tell you how heartwarming and wholesome your videos have become since you welcomed Aífe and became a family four. They put such a big smile on my face and must be wonderful for you to have videos to look back on. Aífe seems to come alive and look so at home outdoors, it is so inspiring to watch!
Just started to watch you and Omg I love you all already! You are so inspiring and amazing. I have a 7 months old baby boy and I have been wanting to start hiking in so long now and always been scared to take him but you give me so much motivation! Well done! I love the nature, forests are my absolutely favourite! Since pregnancy I started to feel anxious and I go for little walks but I’m craving a proper adventure in the fresh air. Also your picture/ video quality is insane honestly you should be so proud of yourselves! Sending you all my love and many more adventures to come 🙌😘😘
The best scene ever..Aife and Oslo in the tent. Warmed my heart. X
Well done all….it is very clear you work as a unit assessing all risks for your family and are very experienced. So a great inspiration for others. A great video.
What an achievement! Well done, all four ☺️
What a great video! Really inspiring to see you all out together doing something so cool! I'm hoping with the improving weather to get out and start hiking. Thank you for the inspiration!
What a family adventure!!! The Cairngorms are stunning and you all look to have had a great time. The wee one is so lucky to have such active parents. Well done all👏👏👏👏
So wonderful to watch 🥰
What an amazing adventure and achievement. Well done to you all, quite the team. 😊

Love your videos , and have help me through some hard times x
So pleased to hear that 🙏
You guys are rockstars ❤️
So so enjoy watching your videos, you are just amazing what you achieve and with a little one too. It's so enjoyable to watch something other than people shopping and talking about christmas decorations on U Tube
Love how Aife gets in on the act! She is a superstar and so is Oslo! Loved watching this hike and congratulations to you all xx
Another truly amazing video, such stunning scenery, Aife and Oslo did really well and it was so nice to see them both snug as a rug in the tent. Harvey made me laugh as he said hello to the trees 🌲 with Aife on his back, keeping her occupied. I think you all did amazing, you should be proud.💐❤️❤️
Thanks so much ☺️
Thank you for taking us along on your journey! Would love to see a video of your set up for Aife. She always looked so comfy during the hike.
Looks amazing and well done for going it with a baby and doggie in tow as well! I am hoping to sign up for this next year. Didn't know about it this year! Loved everyone cheering at the end. What a great atmosphere!
The weather began so beautiful, and it just got worse as it went! 🤦♀ Stunning scenery though! 😍
Lovely video. What a fantastic adventure you all had. I've just returned from a camping holiday in the Cairngorms so know what a beautiful landscape it is up there. Congratulations on completing the walk, Aìfe is such a lucky girl to be able to experience all the wonderful places you have taken her to so far.
What a great hike around the Cairngorms with Oslo and Aife. I loved Aife's outfits--She looked cute and cozy and snug as a bug! Great scenery too. Jenny
Amazing achievement, well done!! Aífe's Viking face 😂😍 Scout does something very similar and it's hilarious!!
Was lovely to meet you at the start! Nice to see your video of the hike!
You too! 😊
Really well done xx
A great hiking adventure - amazing countryside!
Really enjoyed this video. I hike with a dog but can’t even imagine the challenge of taking a baby too especially with the brutal weather at times. Really well done & Oslo too! 👏🏻🎉🐶
All the best, Linda
Love you guys! May God bless you always and strengthen you!!! 🥰
This is such a great video! What an achievement
What a amazing Trek spectacular 🎉
Amazing guys!!!❤
What a great adventure as a family!
Hello from Japan❤
Thanks for showing great trip as always!
Superbly done guys, so enjoyed watching this and having been there meeting you guys made it all the more enjoyable. Arrived early enough at Derry Lodge to carry on but as I was leaving Scotland on Saturday decided to spend one last day in the woods. Thinking of Germany next year.... Cheers.
Great to meet you Darrell! Hope you had a good journey home and maybe see you in Germany!
Well done all of you, spectacular scenery. Oslo an absolute star but looked a bit tired
It was lovely to meet all of you all on the classic, your video has really captured the spirit of the event and brought back lots of memories, the best so far of all viewed. Wishing your family all the best on the rest of your adventures in Scotland and maybe see you at another Classic in the future, but we probably won't see a R.E.Teacher playing the Banjo next time!😉
Thanks so much! We really appreciate that. Hahaha 🪕
Lovely video
Enjoyed watching
❤️👌🫡
Congratulations to the resilient Ramble Family! Another lovely video with some gorgeous views. That view towards to Corrour Bothy was stunning. I’m the Helen that said ‘hi’ to you at Southwaite services! Hope your van’s all fixed up now - take care and thanks for your content 😊
Great to meet you Helen! We’ll done for saying hello, thanks for your support and see you again!
The bairn steal more and more of your videos. Love your vids
Well done the humans but Oslo is always my hero. Our dog always looks a bit 'unhappy' but we believe he is happy!! He would not survive without a jacket though.
That was absolutely fabulous!!! How you managed to do all of that and make a beautiful film too I just do not know..Bravo guys! Bravo!! ❤️🐚
Thank you so much for sharing!
Greetings from Austria

Epic!
lovely
Just finished this wonderful video! Aife's Viking face is medicine really xD
Thank you Athena, Harvey and the Ramble family for taking us along with you in the Scottish country side, it really is stunning! I admire you so much for doing this with a baby (and a dog), it really paves the way for us who are thinking of a future family without having to give up on hiking and trekking! You are an inspiration!
Also would you mind sharing what is the title of song playing in the background at 15:20?
All the love from Greece xxxx
30:02 this part is the best, that viking face had me scared
Good morning Athena, Harvey, Aife, & Oslo! Congratulations! Fjallhaven Classic UK 2022 looked really nice. The checkpoints seem to give you something to look forward to. They were really welcoming. I dearly loved hearing the Bagpipes. The scenery was beautiful. Even with the fog. The hot cocoa looked so good. Reindeer stew didn't look to bad either. Did Harvey ever get his waffles? Aife did really well. Oslo too. Loved Aife Viking face. Have a good week.
Thanks Kimberly! We didn’t have waffles but we had a lovely few weeks in Scotland following the trek ☺️
We really fancied this!
Hope it’s on next year 🤞🏼
It should be 👍
@@RambleFamily perfect!
30:13 Priceless
That looked amazing! It looked very well organised. Aife is growing quick, her birthday is soon isn't it? Time is flying by. She will love looking at these videos when she's a bit older, it's great to be able to capture it for her to watch back.
She will be one at the end of this month 🥹☺️
Great video!! Any idea if they'll do this event next year and if so where i could get some info?
Wow, that looks like a amazing trek! So happy that you four got to enjoy the hike. How did you deal with nappies and stuff? Did you just carry them out again?
Fab👍👍
Aah Oslo is such a superstar, what a good boy ❤
This is what I want to do in my life, I’m having a baby in may and I can’t wait to bring her around the world ❤ just a question about your backpack, what do you use to bring her around? And how ind was she here? Thank you!
What do you do with three days worth of soiled nappies?
What model MSR tent was that and what size?
We have the MSR Mutha Hubba 3 man tent
Would you mind to share wich MSR Tent you have? We have a three person already but pir family will be four next year ans were lopking for a good 4 Person tent...
Lightweight for hiking and biking of course...
If you have the budget look at the Hilleberg Nallo 4GT, much better tents. They are much better in bad weather and don’t have to be pitched inner first like nearly all MSR tents
Thanks i will look it up. Yes with rainy weather its not the best with MSR...
It’s the MSR Mutha Hubba, it’s a 3-man tent!
This is awesome! I remember taking my son out on a winter adventure at a nearby nature area years ago...

If you Need to pee where do you Go? Especially the Lady?
Somewhere hidden in nature, away from water sources.

Just wanted to say
As a health professional ...dad...hiker...
.camper....etc etc
Taking a baby through the challenges you gave documented is.....wrong....and the narcissism...is clearly evident in your husband...and it is evident how much of your challenge seems to be all about him...and ...that the reason I started to watch your chanel was ..it was all about you ...and your perception on life....
I don't want to appear negative...but seeing your partner..clambering over a river on wet stones with your baby on his back....
Why are you taking these risks with your precious daughter or taking her into wild areas without anywY of getting help....
Febrile convulsion...sickness..diahorrea...cold influenza....just everyday normal things that babies have to contend with.....
This in my opinion is not about your daughter...but more about what your parter craves....
What does your mum think
???
With all the respect in the world
Eddy
You can see in this video that we are making a constant assessment of risk throughout the trek; constantly checking the weather, terrain and conditions. In terms of Aífe getting sick, from our experience an illness doesn’t just appear in a baby instantly and as we were generally no more than 3 hours from help, and even less from the checkpoints with volunteers and medics, we could always get help and leave the route if we needed to. I think your comment about Harvey being a narcissist is very disrespectful and completely wrong. Why would he not have just done the hike himself if that was the case? We chose to do it together as a family.
We would never put our daughter at risk and had a brilliant time as a whole family, including Aífe who loved being outside and getting to see so many people. She is most precious to us than anyone else and we believe experiences and adventures in nature are enriching to all our lives.
Nonsense. Hauling a baby on a trek isn’t risk free but you have two well travelled adults and watching the dig and baby. Be glad it’s not a teenager. They get discouraged so much faster.
Trek on.
