When it comes to Matsuri theres a few things i want to put out there, FIRST, HIS FIGHT, we have to factor in the fact that when the clowns first attacked CCG (not this arc but the one before when they started attacking other wards) CCG agents stated that the clowns fodders were actually harder to fight back than Aogiri, SECONDLY, V agents are said by Hirako in chapter 107 to be like refined 0 squad (zero squad) and in chapter 108 Kaneki says (they are fast, as fast as Arima and squad zero, i think?) which means that Both Hirako and Kaneki which have crazy fighting capabilities acknowledge the fact that V agents are strong as fuck, THIRD is the CCG agents that were on scene, Squad S2, Matsuri's own squad, these guys are all top class CCG agents. So the fact that Matsuri was able to fight alone against all these people and doing good work on them all PROVES that Matsuri is a monster, the guys is a beast, a machine, yet when im saying that I DONT MEAN HES A STRONG GHOUL, now let me explain why, i know this is like a contradiction, but Matsuri holds the rank of SPECIAL CLASS INVESTIGATOR In CCG which put him at the top of the organisation AS AN INVESTIGATOR, where the best investigators are, we know all the special class investigators are crazy when it comes to fighting and people in the organisation assume hes human because you know its a human organisation, then back in the samurai days, the Washuu clan was a ghoul extermiating group, on top of that if my memory serve me right, they were also samurai themselve, but this one im not 100% sure about, but they were a group killing ghouls, that is a fact. so assuming they were truly samurai, that would mean that Matsuri would have the knowledge and swordmanship that samurai have since that knowledge would have been passed down from generation to generation. Then on top of that Matsuri got his CCG standard training for being an investigator and climbed the ranks. SO the guy knows how to fight, and the fact that he is a ghoul makes him OP. When i look at Matsuri i dont see an OP ghoul but more like what HAISE SASAKI WAS, but on the other end, Haise is also an OP GHOUL. If you think about it, associated special class and special class agents are able to fight and kill S-SS rated ghouls and are able to survive an encounter against a sss rated one and these guys are human, now this is where Matsuri gets more OP, hes a ghoul, so assuming hes the lowest kind of goul, that still makes him like 4 to 7 times faster and stronger than a normnal human being, now assuming hes an A rated type of ghoul, then that makes him quite the guy to fight. In my opinion, the washuu clan as ghouls were probably never really strong, probably had weak kagunes, had to hide their identity so they had to eat normal food in public and stuff, so they could not push their full potential, and had to rely on an other method to fight, (CCG training and using a quinke) to me that explaines why Matsuri was putting a fight like a beast yet, could not manage to get himself out of this one, the Washuu's didnt put enough emphasis on their ghoul side. and when you look a it, Matsuri was fighting a bunch of strong people, including Nico and Kaiko to top it of. its hard at first to make the most out of this fight, because you really have to think about all that was going on to understand how strong everyone was and how strong Matsuri is. You dont need to be a strong ghoul to be powerfull, if you have the skills and the intellect, and a descent yet far from Op ghoul body, then your gonna put some work. Think about it, Matsuri's RC count could be very low for a ghoul, when he had a sword in his head his kakugan did not activate, or he probably did not feel any pain, that could also be the case. then Yoshitoki and Matsuri did not show any Kagune, which is wierd, i mean he could have done the same thing as Haise did, using both his quinke and kagune, Arima also pointed that out when he trained Haise, stating that since he was a one eyed ghoul he had the advantage to fight with his kagune if he lost his quinke, or could use both. I have to say though the fact that Matsuri got Off paneled pissed me off a bit...
Sachi was similar to Matsuri, Sachi was a way stronger ghoul but what made him so strong was the fact that he was using martial art. So he was not only strong, but able to properly defend himself, Matsuri in my opinion is weaker, but more well rounded than sachi, he probably know some martial art, know how to handle a sword, deal with ghouls, plus his ghoul body. You get the point.

The Matsuri JoJo Position is one of Arima's sword positions (Yukimura 1-2-3-), maybe n. 21, don't remember. It's proabably something learned in the garden or created for potential V. agents. We saw Arima, Haise and Hirako doing this position at least one time each
Just a though that crossed my mind, but about the Washuu, maybe they are some kind of weak ghouls? I never understand the reasoning of the Washuu making a organization to kills members of their own species (apart of the simply classical 'Have the power', but I don't thinK Ishida would do something that easy). Maybe the cause of it is that they were a type of inferior Ghouls (like the weakening Ishida already pull out through the series, Tsukishima's blood and same with Miza's clan) and they manipulated people to protect themselves, putting the ghouls that maybe were abusing them and with the same movement, be safe from the humans aswell, and provide themselves with food. The only thing I don't fit is why V would helped them, because apart that we know some V agents are part of the branch family of the Washuu, the origin of a couple like members like Kaiko is still a mistery.
For Matsuri's last page, the last sentence in Japanese is このあと政は滅茶苦茶斬られた. このあと means ''after that'' 政 means 'Matsuri' は means 'is' 滅茶苦茶 is pronouced as ''mechya ku chya'' , which can mean ''super, very, extremely, crazily...'' It has many meaning 斬られた means 'cut' Ishida just said Matsuri was cut crazily, but didn't metion he was dead or alive. Actually, this sentence is a dirty joke from Ishida, which refer to ''このあと滅茶苦茶セックスした’’ セックスmeans 'sex'. This sentence means 'have sex crazily', which is a famous quote from Hentai Manga.
I have mentioned in another comment. Overall, the translation of Jamini's box is more accurate. Manga stream has made a lot of mistakes for translating previous chapters of Tokyo Ghoul.

Chibi, I think that Uta was the one messing with Juuzou, not the clone, and then the clone that messed with mutsuki was one of Donato's and that's why Uta says he needs a new finger.
Is this really the end for Matsuri? This is what Furuta had in mind all along was to get rid of the last person standing in his way of taking over at the CCG. Everything is going according to plan. New alliances are being formed with Shinsanpei and Mutsuki teaming up to kill Sasaki. Although, in the previous chapter, Mutsuki didn't want to kill Sasaki but to keep him from leaving so Shinsanpei better watch his back. I guess Uta did clone himself or else how was he able to disappear from the scene when Shinsanpei interrupted the dry humping. He waxed philosophical about witnessing the moment when a person changes (clearly in reference to Mutsuki) and how they flip a switch. Maybe Uta isn't done toying with Mutsuki now that he is aware of that fact. And of course, Kaneki and Amon finally have their long awaited talk. I'm wondering since this arc ended quickly will the next arc be in regards to the upcoming nuptials between Takeomi and Yoriko.
I don't think there was a time skip at all for the mutsuki scene. My guess is that since the body was an rc clone it simply disintegrated, plus mutsuki actually was wearing pants while she was on top of the clone.

Anyway overal I like the MS one better, because it feels like an actual translation into a flowing English, rather than a literal translation that's pretty rough around the corners. What did you think about the symbolism of Furuta's hair when he is bowing in-front of the CCG? The outer part of his hair (what the public/CCG perceives) is white, symbolizing purity/hope, meanwhile, the hair facing his true self is black, symbolizing evil/darkness. Just FYI, with the translation for the singular piercing versus the plural is pretty hard to tell. Plural form technically doesn't exist in the Japanese language. Either is still possible. I would assume one because of the relation to Donato's missing one finger.

The manipulation... the piercing morphing. I wouldn't be surprised if the piercings were like mini remote control kagune. Slap em on the corpse-to-be, change its face, and set it loose on a command (like Illumi's Needlemen). I know it sounds crazy, but it feels logical by TG standards. I mean, Yomo zaps bitches like Killua and Tatara was roasting shit like Feitan (not that I'm accusing Ishida of copying Togashi.)

Brandon Adrien I have to agree there were several HxH similarities in this chapter I mean ik Uta has his similarities to Illumi and this is just me but that one panel Furuta had one of Hisokas many pervy faces and well he also tends to have a similar sense of humor to that of Hisoka at times

Pretty sure Uta's piercings are just meant to represent individuals he has changed and/or broken. But... I suppose it's not outside the realm of possibility that each one is a detachable Kagune. I find it unlikely, but possible.
All this Uta talk, I'm starting to wonder about Renji Yomo and what's going on with him. It could just be that my memory is bad, but I don't think we've seen much of him since the Cochlea raid.

I'm thinking the pace of TG is slowing down after this arc. What I am hype for are the character interactions. Touka and Kaneki's conversation along with Amon and Kaneki's have my interest but people are sleeping on the Touka,Hinami, and Akira's interactions after this arc.

The Matsuri JoJo Position is one of Arima's sword positions (Yukimura 1-2-3-), maybe n. 21, don't remember. It's proabably something learned in the garden or created for potential V. agents. We saw Arima, Haise and Hirako doing this position at least one time each

Just a though that crossed my mind, but about the Washuu, maybe they are some kind of weak ghouls? I never understand the reasoning of the Washuu making a organization to kills members of their own species (apart of the simply classical 'Have the power', but I don't thinK Ishida would do something that easy).
Maybe the cause of it is that they were a type of inferior Ghouls (like the weakening Ishida already pull out through the series, Tsukishima's blood and same with Miza's clan) and they manipulated people to protect themselves, putting the ghouls that maybe were abusing them and with the same movement, be safe from the humans aswell, and provide themselves with food.
The only thing I don't fit is why V would helped them, because apart that we know some V agents are part of the branch family of the Washuu, the origin of a couple like members like Kaiko is still a mistery.
If I didnt watch your videos I wouldn't have a fucking clue what is happening in Tokyo ghoul

I have mentioned in another comment. Overall, the translation of Jamini's box is more accurate. Manga stream has made a lot of mistakes for translating previous chapters of Tokyo Ghoul.

Is this really the end for Matsuri? This is what Furuta had in mind all along was to get rid of the last person standing in his way of taking over at the CCG. Everything is going according to plan. New alliances are being formed with Shinsanpei and Mutsuki teaming up to kill Sasaki. Although, in the previous chapter, Mutsuki didn't want to kill Sasaki but to keep him from leaving so Shinsanpei better watch his back. I guess Uta did clone himself or else how was he able to disappear from the scene when Shinsanpei interrupted the dry humping. He waxed philosophical about witnessing the moment when a person changes (clearly in reference to Mutsuki) and how they flip a switch. Maybe Uta isn't done toying with Mutsuki now that he is aware of that fact. And of course, Kaneki and Amon finally have their long awaited talk. I'm wondering since this arc ended quickly will the next arc be in regards to the upcoming nuptials between Takeomi and Yoriko.

I don't think there was a time skip at all for the mutsuki scene. My guess is that since the body was an rc clone it simply disintegrated, plus mutsuki actually was wearing pants while she was on top of the clone.

Oh I see the MS translation was changed after I read it - originally it was COMPLETRLY different from the other one when it comes to Marude's quote. Anyway overal I like the MS one better, because it feels like an actual translation into a flowing English, rather than a literal translation that's pretty rough around the corners. As for the chapter's name I assume it's about Amon and Kaneki.
What did you think about the symbolism of Furuta's hair when he is bowing in-front of the CCG? The outer part of his hair (what the public/CCG perceives) is white, symbolizing purity/hope, meanwhile, the hair facing his true self is black, symbolizing evil/darkness. Do you think that Ishida did this on purpose? Love your reviews. :)

Just FYI, with the translation for the singular piercing versus the plural is pretty hard to tell. Plural form technically doesn't exist in the Japanese language. Either is still possible. I would assume one because of the relation to Donato's missing one finger.
