  • We present and test the Yukon Recurve Bow. Covering all of the aspects this one-piece recurve bow has to offer to the traditional archer. After that, we take it on our archery range to do some test shooting for how the Yukon performs.
    Find the Fleetwood 62" Yukon Recurve Bow here: www.3riversarc...
    Notes on the bow test: The bow was weight checked to be 50# @ 28". The arrows weighed 500 grains and 400 grains. Both 400 spine 5/16" carbon arrows.

    I really wish this bow came in a left-handed model, it's exactly what I'm looking for, the perfect bow.

    will this bow stack if i have a 30" draw?

    • @scottrobertson9452

      I would have to say "no" at 62 inches length it should be ok to a 31 inch draw. If it was 60 inch length, then yes.

    Should I get this or the stygian?

    • @3RiversArchery
      @3RiversArchery  3 роки тому +1

      Depends on what your draw length is. If 29" or less, the Stygian is a great fit. It will shooter with more cast, though the Yukon is a good bow at those draw lengths, I prefer the Stygian. The Yukon has a larger handle, so if you have a bigger hand, it can feel better during shooting.

      @@3RiversArchery my draw length is around 26" so I ordered the stygian. A shorter bow is probably better for me.

      @@3RiversArchery what is the recommended brace height measuring from the indent in the handle? Mine came at around 6 3/4"

      From the valley of the grip to the string a good brace height for the Yukon recurve would be 7" to 8". You should be able to twist your string a few twists to get it into that range.

    Hunting with this bow at 45-50 pounds?

    • @3RiversArchery
      @3RiversArchery  4 роки тому

      You need to check where you are planning to hunt for regulations on minimum draw weight, but in most cases 45-50 pounds (at your draw) would be enough to hunt most big game animals.

    Which bow Yukon or Old Mt Mesa? Can't make up my mind. Lol😂

      That's a hard call. One is a longbow and the other a recurve. So why not both?

    I’m about to purchase one of these off your website with the 50 pound draw weight. What set of arrows would you recommend. I’m just looking for some casual/target practice. Thanks.

      For finding the proper spine, use are charts here: www.3riversarchery.com/pdf/ArrowCharts.pdf
      as need to know your draw length and what arrow length and point weight. Now, if you have a 28" draw, then an arrow cut to 29" with a 125 grain point, the 500 spine carbon would be a good fit. While these are still in stock, I would recommend them: www.3riversarchery.com/beman-realtree-ics-hunter-pro-carbon-arrows.html otherwise these www.3riversarchery.com/gold-tip-warrior-arrows.html

      None of the bows we sell are shipped strung. This is for safety and better packing.

      The 10 grains per pound arrow is the Traditional Only. www.3riversarchery.com/traditional-only-fletched-carbon-arrows.html
      For the eight grains per pound, I believe it is the Gold Tip Warrior www.3riversarchery.com/gold-tip-warrior-arrows.html
