Hair man's acting like a kitten! It's so cute 😍 I'm glad they got the echo and his teeth and gums can get fixed for less pain. P.s. I stated talking to my animals the same way. Not on purpose! Haha that was an overwhelming store to just look at but what a good deal!
My cat gets like that at night time. Mary you are such a great cat mama and Peter you are a great daddy. You may not have children, but you have Ollie Boy and Hair Man. And they are your babies. so precious.
Hey guys, if you didn’t get my other comment ketamine is probably the culprit. It’s a anesthesia for humans, cats, and dogs sometimes. On some of us beings it can make you trip/hallucinate for a day or two after. I’ll never let them give it to me again. If harry got it I’m sure he feels the same.
A tip on the machine washable rugs with the rubber backing, be very careful when washing in the machine use the gentlest cycle and in the dryer use the lowest setting if it does go in there otherwise the backing will eventually start to separate in little chunks. We had the best luck using the hose or the power washer and Sun drying it. I'm so glad to hear that Harry is doing okay!

I used to work at a cat rescue that specialized in rehoming older kitties and it makes me so happy to see Harry in such a great home and taken care of so well 💜. Sad to say but so many cats are brought into the shelter for having medical problems or for just being older. Thank you Mary and Peter for being such great cat and dog parents! 💜

I volunteer at a cat rescue too and you're totally right. Kittens always get chosen over the older kitties. We've had a horrible never ending kitten season this year and there are so many cats who aren't getting adopted. We even have multiple 8 month olds not getting adopted in favour of younger kittens. It's so sad. If I got another cat it would be an old tom cat.
The sedation was like an extra good nap so he had so much energy after🤣🤣🤗🤗
Our non-naked cats like to get in the dryer as well :) And the clean and dirty laundry and piled up blankets. Basically anything that is warm, soft and fuzzy.

You didn't tell us what the vet said about Harry's echo when you picked him up! Hopefully that means everything was normal 💞
Mary, I wanted to give you a tip I learned from watching Jackson Galaxy working with cats. When you are playing with them with a lure toy like your butterfly toy, let them catch it once in a while. That way, they feel like their hunting and stalking actions are productive and they don't get bored with the activity as quickly.

When I was a little girl, I would “help” my granddad plant tulips...but in actuality, my house is where real plants come to die, unfortunately 🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️😂 so, I would probably be in heaven, with fake plants. But I get pretty overwhelmed at “Big Box” stores, too, so I usually just shop online 😊 love your succulents, though, Mary! 🧡
We have a few of those butterfly toys for our cats and we have to hide them because the kitten will destroy it if it’s near her for too long.

I volunteered at a cat shelter for 10 years. Once, a couple years in, I was doing laundry... shut the dryer door, turned it on, and heard *ka-thud, ka-thud, ka-thud*. I thought "Gee, that's an awfully heavy load for just blankets and towels."
I opened the door, figuring I would just shift things a bit to distribute the weight more evenly. Out bolts a cat!
I started putting my hand in and feeling for any extra large lumps before starting it, after that! (I had done just looking in first, until then)

I had a cat who jumped in the dryer while my mom was loading it and my mom just heard "thud thud thud" she thought to herself "I didn't put shoes in the dryer" and looked and my cat was panting like a dog in the dryer. Luckily he lived for probably 10-15 years after that incident.
One of my cats jump into the dryer, he got a good short spin. He never tried the dryer again.

So glad Harry is okay, one thing our cat loves is a laser pointer. I buy them at the dollar tree so they are super cheap and easy to replace. Sometimes I wish I had a dexcom, my sugar has been dropping a lot and I can't always notice the signs between it and other problems I have. They are sending me to an endocrinologist, but they are booked so I am on a waiting list. Hopefully they can figure mine out soon. I have had hypoglycemia issues for at least 15 years, but they have gotten worse the last year or two. Correcting becomes more like taking some juice as if it were just medicine essentially lol. I know Mary can totally relate.
Melody Ross thanks for sharing! & i can definitely relate, juice and food/drinks to raise blood sugar definitely feels like medicine sometimes, especially when you aren't hungry but have to eat something 😂. Keep on pressing on!
Reason for Harry going a little crazy after his procedure could be the type of anesthesia they used for his sedation. They have started using ketamine for this on cats. They have used it for me on a couple of occasions and I hallucinated for two days after. It’s a synthetic psychotic that can make some people and animals hallucinate. Now I tell all the anesthesiologists that will be there for any of the procedures that I have not to give me ketamine! Walls move, lights flash, and it gives your body a very weird feeling. I wouldn’t even wish this on my enemy if I had one. Google ketamine for cats. Now I tell them to just give me propolfol instead. Not sure if they give that to cats though

Ok this may sound weird but I see that really often in all kinds of tv shows and also in this video I recognized that Mary was wearing her shoes inside of the house. Is that a thing in the US? Where I come from we put off our shoes at the front door and then we go with indoor slippers or barefoot/with socks inside the house.
재희아이 a lot of people in the US do wear shoes inside but some like shoes to be taken off at the door.

Hi Brady Hagler, we have been taking him to some places with us, but he's also transitioning into retirement so staying home a bit more. But he's doing great and loves spending time with Harry :)
