For once a Brit will say this. The rain was worth the wait, I did a test session at Mugello in the F4 and holy cow it was an experience. I cannot wait to drive more in it. Also I didn't notice any drop in frames and I've got a 3070ti in my rig.
change the fov of the virtual mirror to 80-85°, it wil be more realistic in the mirror when cars are closer, also the spray of the Car is behind the car en not 5meter far away from you're car.
10:52 which is why I said to you to not do that ( ie- racing line) you won’t be able to see anything , the rubber on the road will also be slippery, and you’ll need to go off it anyway to keep the tyres cool .
You may already know, but you can fix the gap in your spray that you see in your rear view by changing the FOV on your rear view mirror.

It was a humbling experience for me.... I thought I can do the GT3 although still span out a few times racing ai at spa ..
But then I tried the F4 and my god I had no chance

I bought a 296 for endurance, I can't seem to drive it in the dry, I tried it in the wet and managed to do 3 laps without crashing.
How does that work?
In the dry you're pushing, in the wet you're respecting the lack of grip.
You didnt do faster laps did u though?
@@McNab1986I don't feel I'm pushing in the dry though, I just can't feel what the car is doing at all. When I get around I'm way off the pace for my irating level, in the wet it was the complete opposite.
@@M1ggins Maybe the effects are heavier through the wheel in the wet, try turning up your feedback in the dry, see if it helps any
The spray in your virtual mirror looks too far back it needs to be closer to the bottom of the mirror to represent it coming off the back of the car. Good video by the way looking forward to having a go myself later today. ☂️

I was hoping iRacing were going to release the rain for the V8 Supercar (no ABS and no TC) but alas, they didn't :(
I think that will come soon/for the big supercar race at Bathurst later this year.

No, quite the opposite actually. The way iRacing is seemingly doing the weather affect’s are leaps and bounds better then other “sims” so the excitement comes from actually being to understand what it ACTUALLY feels like driving in the rain vs other “sims”

Why dont you acctually try before you crap all over it. As I have played ACC, Automibilista, rafactor all in the rain and this is light years ahead of them all. Not even close in terms of realism of driving.

It's weird seeing everyone lose their mind about Rain in IRacing. When other games had wet weather racing for many years.
iracing rain blows the other games out of the water
That is because the rain in other games is mostly just a lower grip mode with rain visuals, but in iracing it is actually very realistic
Yeah it’s the quality of rain physics that’s making people freak out, obviously other games have had it for years lol this stuff is miles above anything else out there at the moment
They may be late to the party, but from what I have seen so far it puts all existing „rain simulation“ implementations to shame.
Because rain in iRacing is far superior to anything else in other sims currently.
