I'll never get tired of the moment at 4:17. Not only is a stunning piece of vocal work and far closer to Cocker than I would have believed possible but the look on the face of the guitarist is priceless.
I am in love with the drumer, she rules the song !!!! So much funnnnnnnn, this singer is feeeeeeeeling Old Joe, my God when he starts to sing....... Awesome Spirit, kick ass young man, the drummer is the star! I loooovvvee this, Thanks KiDs
i watched Joe Cocker 1981, if i closed my eyes i was listening to , School of Rock Fairfield.!!!!!!! the back up girls are GREAT!!!!!! the whole band is really GREAT!!!!! A GREAT PERFORMANCE BY ALL!! THE LEAD SINGER REALLY REALLY GREAT!!!
Trip, and someone btoke into this song during the memorial service, and it ended with most of the room singing this song as a salute to those who didn't make it home again. Here's to you my friends.
This is a song that comes back into my life maybe once every 5 years. And everytime it stops me dead in my tracks, no pun intended. It will always take back to 1978 and 5 of my High School friends that didn't make it home again. Here's to you my friends.
I came for the Beatles, then I realized it was Cocker's version so I thought "ok, I will give these kids a chance"... then suddenly my brain's fried ... congrats youngsters, terrific job, so spirited.
Just a bunch of talented kids really really into a great frickin' tune and kickin' the livin' shit out of it! I'm good for right now. Thanks you Badasses!
WHOA......WTF!!! I DEFINITELY was not Expecting that Voice to Come out of that kid, he sounds Amazing, he Captures Joe's Soul that's Awesome. The back - up Singer's need alittle more practice but by and large the band sounds Great, and check out the Red headed Drummer, she is just KILLING IT!!! Ive gotta say how Happy I am watching all these Videos of these young ROCKERS seemingly and Thoroughly ENJOYING Playing Music from My Generation. I didn't think ANY of the Young generation would even consider and or Play this Type of Music, it would be like me and my friends really Digging and Playing Swing or Music from the Big Band Era, I mean some of that music I like but not like the kids are doing in these Videos. Anyways I can't GET ENOUGH OF THIS................Thanks for Posting these Beauties.................🎸💚
Good talent, and drummer stood out more with her smiling....the lead singer was amazing, and more so at(i like how the guy with black guitar was waiting for it and the guitarist to the right of him expressed the exclamation) 4:17 and hit it out of the park and a few other neighborhoods over at 4:19, and he finally took a couple seconds to acknowledge how all worked out at 4:39. This was the most passionate group/song i've heard of many of these school of Rock performances.
I hafta say this is a mind-blowing rendition by the most delightful collection of kids I've see on SoR! Young Meat Loaf; Smily Drum Girl; Background Singing Red-Dressed Bobby Soxer; Blown-Away Blue-Guitar Boy. I've seens vids of these same kiddos playing a few years later and boy do they mesh and get even better. What a team! I'll take passion over perfection any day -- but this was both.
you forgot to mention the keyboard player, who is another important backbone of the team. Try to take your eyes off Smily and focus on him in different clips, such as "keep me hanging on" where he was so concentrated and passionate during the intro. Also here.....at the end, he walked off stage almost exhausted, because he lived the music to the fullest.
some 2 of the former Fairfield-team joined the band around the divine Miss T.T. just follow her steps.......you won't be sorry 🙂 they are the champions too......
7/8/2020 Wow, this is great - but why has it had only 5,979 views in 5 years? Given that YT's algorithm is currently pushing these SoR videos, I expect that number, and the 68 likes and 11 (now 12) comments to go up rapidly in coming weeks.
Did anybody noticed the tall girl in the middle doing vocals is like a leader it kept the gils on time all the tima, the girl on dress skip once or twice and the harmony slip twice otherwise very well executed
There are a number of SoR franchises, with the ones in New Canaan, CT, and Chicago, apparently being the ones with the most post videos - Ihave also seen videos posted of the SoR in Memphis.
John Entwistle was a "Stone Faced" bass player. As long as he hits the notes, he's fine. Because he doesn't jump around doesn't mean he's bored and disinterested in the song.
Boy did they own this. Each one is like tripping on this goose-bumping song with full fresh love and delight. This is a transcendent moment.
so much fun

Wow! I was not expecting that voice to come out of that kid! The whole band was amazing. Best SOR performance I have ever seen.
Excellent!!
What a pleasure to watch the outstanding drummer girl......she is smiling bright all the times😊

Playing music like this is what sets your soul free. Good for these kids for doing it so young. Fabulous!

what a great experience for these kids.

These kids definitely got into playing this classic and knocked it out of the park! Great job!!
Takes a lot of guts to pick a huge song to cover. This is not a huge song, it's massive and did an outstanding job!
Just a bunch of talented kids really really into a great frickin' tune and kickin' the livin' shit out of it! I'm good for right now. Thanks you Badasses!
Maybe the best School of Rock performance ever? Certainly in the Top 5. I LOVE IT!!!
This guy is spot on! Well done! All of you!

I agree, my friend. Best wishes to you.
Wow! Awesome!
They killed it
The best versión tanks!
Great job, kids! Kick some butt!
Best cover EVER,,of this song by anyone not named Cocker,,I mean better than the Blues Brothers. That kid has pipes!

I thought this was just gonna be one of those: "Oh that's nice." As soon as the kid opened his mouth I was immediately impressed!
Geniales
It was pretty close to the Joe Cocker rendition at Woodstock. Not perfect, but close. These School of Rock teams amaze me!
Did anybody noticed the tall girl in the middle doing vocals is like a leader it kept the gils on time all the tima, the girl on dress skip once or twice and the harmony slip twice otherwise very well executed
That was amazing
great job if Joe Cocker was alive , he would be very proud of your performance
Yes he would!!!
He love seeing the kids rock it with a big smile. His music lives so he lives.
He even has the Joe Cocker spaz hand.
you would make Kevin Arnold proud.
The Beatles. Need I say more?
Old Joe's version is better, I am an old BeatLes guy, but Joe did it.
Indeed 😉
school of rock is kinda freaking me out...is this real?

Bassguitar man is from another band? Stone face man.
true! in this stunning performance, he is similar annoying.. ua-cam.com/video/n2ErND37p0U/v-deo.html

lol, this guy doesn't know all the words, Joe didn't need all the words either....!!!!!!................Joe Junior lovely job kids
Channeling Joe Cocker
someone needs to coach the bass player to move. every one else moves great.
does know one in the world agree?
Nice job, but not a fan of the Cocker arrangement at all. Wish all the Bands had gone for the Ringo and Beatles original version instead.
The lead player stinks but yet signals to be turned up louder 😂
Huh? At what point?
The girl’s are way out of tune 🥲
and?? wassup garrrry, how is your mom doing upstairs?
No, they weren't out of tune at all. A couple of time they let the harmonies slip when they got over excited but otherwise they were excellent.
