If you are still growing those Buena mulatas, definintely wait till they are red. They are more "green" tasting when purple. When orange-red to red, they are super sweet. The plant is super productive, so no need to pick them purple. It makes for a super awesome ornamental pepper with all the purple, cream, red going on.
If you add a calcium fertilizer to pepper plant’s that aren’t producing peppers, it’ll boost them into pepper producing mode. This can simply be done with a Tums antacid. The commercial calcium fertilizers also have iron which is also needed for fruit production, but Tums can be found for a buck at the dollar store.
Phosphorus!!!! Add dried ground BANANA SKINS. Add that to your soil to encourage more flowers, Which gives you more yeild. Ash from your fire is also an excellent source of phosphorus to encourage more flowering. I rely entirely on food scraps for my garden. Hope that helps. 😉🤞🌶️🍅🍠🌽🍓🍏🍇
I have a lot more varieties of peppers in my garden this year. But by far my favorite so fare are the orange habeneros. The ones I have this year seem to be a different strain than previous years even though I got the plants from the same source. The peppers are over twice as big as in previous years and don't seem to be quite as hot. But the flavor is fantastic.
I love hearing about your favorite varieties. Do you like sweet peppers? I prefer them to the hot ones. I grew mammoth jalapeños this year and they did great.
before you pull out those Aji whatever it was amarillo. Many Baccatums continue to fruit in the cold weather and even do better once it starts to cool off , I have had 4 pods from one of my 2 year old Aji Amarrilo plants while the other produced this summer , but now that its cooling down ( I am in Australia) the second one is starting to fill up with flower buds and I should be harvesting more than a kg each week from them well into the winter.
I wonder if it was sugar Rush cream instead 🤔 I've never grown either in previous years. However, as I mentioned in my last post, I am growing both the sugar rush peach and the sugar rush cream this year so I'm sure I'll see in the coming months! Great video! I'd love to try the squash pepper, I've not heard of that one until you mentioned it! 🌶️
I grow all types of hot peppers my self my favorites are grove peppers and mamas pepper from Africa. They are different shapes on the plants. Super hot. Old bear. Florida.
"How I doubled my pepper production without pruning" it will show ripening red bell peppers to left left of the photo and he is on the right. The guys name is growyourgreens. His pepper production is INSANE. Video had me on the edge of my seat on how many peppers he has! That's the only difference between the two areas in his garden and he specializes in growing peppers. 😁 hope you like the video.
Can you please make and video on the soil amendments that you add and directions on how to take care of the tomato and Chili's that would be a great video thank you
If you'd like I came accross a video where a guy found a phenomenal type of work casting and the video shows pepper production with it and without it to show growing difference. He quadrupled his peppers. It's from california. I personally am gunna get a bag of it. Lmk
I grow peach creams, peach habanero, chiero creams, aji Colorado. Sugar rushes.. All of them are wayyyy to spicy for me. I replaced everything with jalapeño varieties
Your plants look great, and the pods look healthy. Not sure about your sugar rush peach. Wonderful pods though, great flavor and tolerable low heat. - Did you get the seeds from a friend? Maybe it was an open pollinated plant from an unreliable vendor? Also, sometimes strange things happen with pheno's and you end up with strange pods. - As for me... Growing: Trinidad S., Moruga S., Butch T (Red), Ghost (Red), Scotch (Yellow), Habs (Orange). Already cut them down for overwintering, and they are sitting snug as a bug in my grow tents with 3-4 inches of new growth. I also had a bunch of other peppers, pimento, bells, Jalapenos (Regular and Grande), and pepperoncinis. I think like 20 plants in total? - For next year, I'm growing a bunch of OP (open pollinated) seeds from this year, maybe I'll get something fun. I've also got ordered from PepperJoe, Reapers, 7Pots, black jalapenos, fatali, cayenne, and a few of others. My goal is to start my first "Frankenpepper" plant next spring.

Perfect video. Literally just what I was looking for.
Informative video. Cool peppers. Lemon drop is doing very well this year. Have sugar rush peach and Brazilian starfish on my radar for next year.
I grew lemon drops this year . They are really productive and good spiciness
Same. They have a nice citrus flavor. Hot but not insanely so. Gonna save some seeds and try to overwinter the plant.
Sarah Moran from where do you have purchase these beautiful and rare heirloom chilli varieties
I love hearing about your favorite varieties. Do you like sweet peppers? I prefer them to the hot ones. I grew mammoth jalapeños this year and they did great.
Love the colours. Thanks for the review
Aji’s have been super productive for me so far

This is true. Older plants produce way better. They don't love the heat when producing like we have here in az
Try the fish pepper. Pretty and delicious.
Did you save seeds I hope so😀
I also did the lemon drop and brazilian starfish this year! I do lemon drop every year now. I also recommend the criolla sella.
"Pimiento de pardon", you should grow a roulette variety. They're always fun
Wow they’re amazing 💜🧡💛❤️💚
You should stick with those yellow ones because some times the first year is low quantity

Everyone, the brazilian starfish is actually a quite mild pepper.
I’m Montagnard indigenous I planted Thai chili hope they will grow well .

Growing my first red cayenne plant, wish me luck.. by the way how was the sugar rush peach and the lemon drop, taste wise?
Wish scoville info was included in this review or at least comparisons. Thanks for sharing!
Excellent video! Very well done!

Our sugar rush peach looks like that too. I think they have a subtle peach scent.
Look up any specific pepper and research it

You should make videos with Johnny Scoville
You rock....

I've done lemon drop almost every year.
Where should I get my seeds I have orange hobs will be growing chocolate style peppers this year
Bought a lemon drop plant from Burpee. It was scraggly upon arrival, but with a little TLC, it's really producing now
Chinese 5 color is an absolute favorite of mine. I had my original recently die after 2 seasons.
It's great! I especially love when there are peppers at all stages of colors on the plant!
@@SarahMoranNutrition I have a video on my channel with it carrying 64 pods all different colors.
Hello sister Sarah:
Greetings from India.
We need seeds.
We need your contact e.mail.
Awesome video.
Picking peppers before they’re ripe means you’re only getting a fraction of the nutrients you’re growing them for in the first place.
swapseeds ?
Smaller size of pepper does not equate to less heat >< ^^ Sorry just had to point it out. Nice pods btw ^^

Pinoy din ako, meron bang story behind the name? Ahahaha
just subbed to channel 6/29/19@10:47am eastcoast time
Hi maam, can I have some Brazilian starfish pepper seedlings?
I can see what it looks like not what it taste like. What do you taste please.
Small peppers don’t mean that they r less spicy lady…… it’s in fact the opposite🥵🥵
your sugar rush peach looks mor like a sugar rush cream
you should say the names of the peppers MUCH slower.....so that we can hear the name...
Most of those peppers are pretty mild, not hot.
What is hot to one person is mild to another...! 🌶️🌶️
Trusting other people is not an excuse, not to do your research! you risk propagating wrong information on your channel that way
A girl that loves growing hot peppers. Of course shes married lol
Hot???
Wow, such a beautiful face.
you're a hot pepper

They're extremely hot. Not as advertised!
