- Have you ever wondered where these weirdo cactus come from?
In the world of cactus collectors, there is a high value placed on mutant plants that are either crested, variegated, monstrose or bizarre in some other way and Mytrillocactus is notoriously diverse in its many expressions of growth. It’s a species that’s given us Grecas, the boobie cactus, various beautiful crested forms that color in the enviromental stress giving it hues of pink to blue to red to purple. One of the most sough after freakish forms of Mytrillo is called “Glorp”. Resembling a glaucous melting candle Glorp reminds me of Halloween letters dropping and melting into one another. In todays episode I had a chance run in with James Peterson who discovered it and gave it its namesake.

THE QUEST CONTINUES.....
Love me some Glorp. Maybe I’ll get lucky and find me a new freak one of these days. So cool man.
lol that chick was like "fuck he so hyped about?"🤣
@KillsBillions right? She sees 2 guys huddled around a phone super stoked but no P-Hub music.... the confusion was real lol

glorp cat supremacy

Gotta find me a chunk of Glorp now.
3:39 That Woman really freaked out Hahaha 🇵🇭🌵
Awsome backstory. Who would’ve thunk it
Shoutout to the dudes! Jeremy is a solid dude! 🔥🤙
I got 2 Glorp pups waiting on rootstock as we speak
Just got my glorp and grecas well on the way.
Tomorrow according to tracking number.
Hunter you forgot to mention that glorp produces terrible roots and have to remain a graft. A friend in the canary island has hundreds glorps all on graft always trying to root them with minimal success.
ive had luck with my one cut
Once you get a graft that roots will the others taken from it also root too?
@@hannahconn-gx4wh yeah it might just be grecas then that’s more of an issue then. I was just picking their brain too on choice of graft stock they prefer. My Judith #1 and Vernes Macrogonus showed up today. Much love fellow cactus nuts.
@@bluebowser3347 every graft I’ve done has been to a well established, rooted plant already,it’s about getting the graft to stick. Both mine coming are small pieces. With any luck I’ll get good growth on them both this year so the following year I can graft the hell out of them.
What's the date for Glorp Day? I just got my very first Glorp, yesterday!! Cool video dude! Thanks for the info!!
So is there any official reference on columnar morphs and varieties? How does a person know if they've discovered something new?
please sir can i have some Glorp?
Reaper I know of a few growers that might have a piece to spare.
@@Prickly-BrewI am also curious about these growers. Been looking for the glorpiest glorp that ever glorped
Where can I get that bad ass
Game of Thorns t-shirt?
Which nursery in Tucson did it come from?
