I just wish the US could demolish the stealership model.
Its 2023, we get to customize EVERYTHING, have 99% of things in our daily lives delivered to our doorstep, yet cars have to be on the same outdated model which puts greedy middle-men in the way of a better experience for all.
Japan has dealers who are a showroom+test drive experience and you get to customize your car and have it delivered to your house from factory. on EVERY MAJOR BRAND.
The model is broken and we can do much better
But the car manufacturers and dealers have better lobbyists than the consumer. Some state are even prohibiting direct to consumer car sales except for Tesla. Welcome to the land of freedom.
And it’s gotten even worse. There is no freedom or choice now. We have to pick whatever garbage they have on the lot. They will only build one trim to maximize profit

It all boils down to GREED, nothing else but.
They still have to post those added accessories on a separate label next to the MSRP sticker. And that label will show the MSRP price plus the added accessories with a new total amount. I think most people at this point in time realize that 300 dollars for nitrogen and 900 dollars for ceramic coating is a gimmick and really does not add value to the car. Zero. Whether that dealer addendum says market adjustment or nitrogen air its all the same to me. It's stretch to say a dealer is hiding anything by doing that. Its still a dealer markup. I always ignore that addendum sticker. And tell them it does not exist to my eyes. If they don't discounts MSRP I'm out. They won't be playing these games for much longer.
Blacklist these dealers for life!!! Especially Southern California dealers.
im gonna laugh when all there 2023 becomes old and there still paying taxes on it. They are ether going to dump em and flood the markup or continue to take huge losses.
Good news is the losers that found it “reasonable” are priced out of buying cars with rates high and their willingness to pay over sticker!!

The banks are charging way too much on the interest rates and the dealerships are charging above MSRP. I say buy used and pay cash
Even used cars are being marked up with “accessories.” I’m not talking about run-of-the-mill dealers, either. One luxury dealer in the Portland area marks up its prices with a $695 Stargard security system. Bad as that is, another luxury dealer charges $1,695 for Stargard plus “interior and exterior coatings.” That’s the sort of thing I expect from a high volume dealership, not a luxury brand!
