The pink looked 10 times better .I saw lots of shadowing a skin discoloration in the orange and you looked so much brighter and the skin looked clearer in the pink. I see lots of others in comments agree. Ypu should get your colors redone. I was matched a true soring 20 years ago ,but always knew it was wrong. Just recently had it done again and like I thought I was a true summer. Color seasons live rent free in my head. My brain color analyzes everyone I see...I can't even help it , I can't stop seeing ppls color season 😳😁

I made the video to help others, be it folks at home or hair pro’s with a possible way to add it into their consults, it’s not about me, the point was that it was for others.
      Thanks for watching.

I look like crap in warm toned things but my eyes are hazel green and yellow in my skin. It brings out too much yellow in my skin. The only color I look decent in is blue. I go wwith nuetral bases in foundation and stuff cuz I just don't know. When my colors were done in 1989 I was a cool spring, but I was tan then. Help, I don't know what I look good in!

@@jewellwright5531I’m very similar, hazel golden green eyes and yellowish tint in my skin. I kept being classified as deep autumn because my hair was very dark when younger. Truth is that I looked ill in earth tone colours.
It took me a while to understand that my skin is fair olive hence the yellowish tint which is not what it was automatically classified as warm but neutral leaning cool, and even though my eyes could be classified as somehow warm the overall is not warm and the proof is that I look better in blues and colours that are cool than warm colours. Now having dark hair puts me in the deep winter which is the less cool of all winters, we tolerate colours that aren’t too cool but also autumn colours that have little warmth…. Teals, some aquas, bottle green…
I hope this throws some light. You might have olive skin.

I was around and working during the 80’s Color Me Beautiful by Carole Jackson, it was all the rage and I loved doing folks color in the salon and helping younger folks with their colors at Modeling School where I taught. IDC if it's warm or cool, because they both look good to me (within reason 😊). Most hairstylists want to make me an icy blonde, but I kind of hate it. Just lift me to 11 and I'll be good. I see the True Autumn, as I am one! I was begging for the orange to be burnt down, if you will. I find it hard to pull off brights because at the heart of it, I am soft, warm, and deep. I do still wear Magenta also, but the cool version can appear almost neon, so I try my best to find a warm version. You must have hints of pink overtone in your skin (I do also). That’s probably why everyone is saying magenta lights you up haha. Their eye is desperately searching for balance. Even if the orange is a tad too bright, your hair and eyes are far more cohesive with the orange 😊

The trouble with my hair is that it already has so much red and gold in it that it tends to become brassy. I use a cool blonde toner to balance that out. Light gold is my best haircolor, though I wish so much I could wear a dark chestnut because that it so beautiful.

First one, I was born with warm blond hair which stayed throughout toddlerhood and turned into an extremely ash blond for the rest of childhood and adulthood. Would that make me cool or warm? Your color test suggests cool, but I absolutely LOVE the color at 8:51!!
Which brings me to my next question. I live across the pond in America, but how was that beautiful color created? What would you call it? I love it b/c it has a richness to it and is not too light. I’d love to sport that color, despite pale coloring and blue eyes. ❤

Craig, I really think you might be a Warm Spring, not a true spring but the “season” between Autumn and Spring, known as a True Warm, in the 16 season color system. I say this because I respond similarly to magenta and orange draping. I look good in both. I’m a Warm Spring. We look Very Similar in coloring. You have a brightness to your skin, that’s not as typical of a True Autumn. That brightness will allow you to wear a bright magenta fairly well although you’re warm. Then again, I couldn’t possibly truly know this from seeing you in a UA-cam video, but just giving you my (unasked for 🤦‍♀️) observation. I say this with lot of love. Thanks for the video ❤

I'm very cool-toned, but my natural hair color is a warm, bright copper ginger. As I got older, my hair faded to strawberry blonde, then a very brassy gold. I hated it, so I decided to go platinum. While I loved the color, it made me look sickly so after a couple of years I ended up using henna to go back to my natural color. It is the color that suits me the best, despite being so warm toned, but I guess that rules are meant to be broken.

I see that you’re definitely warm. Orange is difficult to photograph, often times, in pictures, magenta will photograph better simply because of color contrast. In real life tho sometimes even if the magenta looks “better” in a picture it’s actually making the person look more Drawn (too contrasted) in appearance in real life. I find warm people look decent in magenta and orange, conversely, cool toned people don’t look good orange at all.

Hi Craig excellent topic. Isn't the haircolor that best suits, your natural color? I know that we start to lose pigment in our skin just as we do in our hair as we age. Isn't our best suited color a version, probably a lighter version of that natural color??

The thing is most of us were born with a natural colour that then went darker. I was born light blonde which then turned to ash dark blonde and the ashy colour it is now does not suit me at all. Funnily I bleach mine to the baby blonde colour it was when I was a little girl.

I'm a cool tone level 7 brunette going blond slowly in order to tone gray because I'm tired of coloring my temples every 2 weeks. lol Right now I'm in that level 8 orange-yellow stage which looks horrible with my skin tone. 😭. I was toned with Redken Shades 9V and 9P which of course didn't work and turned any highlights that were a level 9 and 10 hair lilac. The toner washed out after 2 shampoos and I'm back to the orange yellow stage. If I tone to a level eight, will the toner permanently stain my lighter highlights or will it wash out? I'm afraid to have her tone it to a level seven or eight because I don't wanna undo all the highlights we just put in.

I think Orange blends in too much with your skin and makes blemishes more prominent you are definitely a cool undertone. The orange casts shadows under your eyes and makes your chin disappear whereas with magenta your face is more tapered and your undereyes are not as prominent. Color analysis through hair color, eye color, skin color etc. can be misleading.
