From what I've read mine maybe shot? so the speaker connection would have to be redone. I knew that a 1990 anything would have its challenges so no surprises there. Good luck with your build. Looks like it will be a blast this summer.
Thanks for checking out the video man glad I could share it with you, I really like the convertible too they’re all nice. Yeah I honestly didn’t consider how many things were going to need attention being old and not maintained but it’s all good I’m going right through it and being a Corvette to be had little to no trouble getting what I need. The radio I wired to the harness that was there someone already had an aftermarket alpine in there. The wires go to the right side foot compartment area from what I could see and I’m assuming still uses that reciever it sound OKAY but nothing to right home about…thanks for commenting more updates and video to come!
How difficult was it to install the backup camera wire from the rear to the back of the radio? I have a convertible so it’s different but any guidance would be appreciated.
It was a pain to be honest! But what I did was removed the license plate, reverse lights, and the 2 left side tail lights. There is a harness that comes through the body on the drivers side you can poke a small hole in or cut a little slice in the grommet so the wire can pass through
That’s a good friend of mine who owns it you’ll see it in front of me in the track day footage it posted. We’ve done a few track days together he hangs right with me in the corners the only reason I run quicker lap times though is because I have more seat time!
That wing is atrocious. But you might be able to sell it on eBay... A friend had a mustang with a dealer installed wing. The paint bubbled, and the wing actually sagged in the middle.
Thanks for the runthrough. Quick question about your radio. I think you said $300 for it. But what about the original Bose speakers? How did you deal with those, hooking them up to this head unit? Was it plug and play, or did you have to mod your car's wiring?
Appreciate you taking the time to watch, it’s an atoto s8 and to my knowledge still has the factory Bose speakers in there. When I got the car it had an aftermarket alpine head unit and someone made a custom harness that goes under the passenger side footwell from the radio to the unit that the factory radio uses. I’m not super familiar with that setup but I think all they did was extend wires from the radio to the factory amp

137 good call
How difficult was it to install the backup camera wire from the rear to the back of the radio? I have a convertible so it’s different but any guidance would be appreciated.
It was a pain to be honest! But what I did was removed the license plate, reverse lights, and the 2 left side tail lights. There is a harness that comes through the body on the drivers side you can poke a small hole in or cut a little slice in the grommet so the wire can pass through
You’ll see the harness when you look through the hole the outer left tail light was in
C6 here. Nice video just turn the Stranger Things music down a bit please. A tad loud and it’s competing with your vocals.
Nice! Thanks for watching yeah that turned out to be a bad call lol
Beautiful car, please next time no background music on the video though. Love the car though
The first few seconds of the video I saw the ND1/2 Miata - did you both race each other? I’m sure he had you on the corners😎
That’s a good friend of mine who owns it you’ll see it in front of me in the track day footage it posted. We’ve done a few track days together he hangs right with me in the corners the only reason I run quicker lap times though is because I have more seat time!
#metoo. Me and my brother are C-4 owners
That wing is atrocious. But you might be able to sell it on eBay... A friend had a mustang with a dealer installed wing. The paint bubbled, and the wing actually sagged in the middle.
I did to 84 z51 c4 corvette
If you clicked on this video, you must own a Corvette....owner of an 1988 Anv. & 1989 & 2015 Z06.....i see a Vette 👀, i click....hope you took off the fugly thing hanging on the rear.....other wise than that.....looks good 👍
Nice!!! Thanks for checking it out. Yes the wing did come off I swapped the whole bumper and color matched it! It’s been a good runner so far one of my favorite cars
@@morecars324 - " 10-4, roger that, over & out, copy 👍 "
The music and the wing need to go. Otherwise, great car
Thanks for checking it out, you’ll see in my other recent video the wing is gone now
The wing has got to get off man. Them things never look good
Guy just bought it from me my car now has a stock bumper with now wing 👌
No* wing
Up the tc if its not a manual.
She’s a 6 speed 👍
First of all z51 is the suspension option. Nothing to do with the car. And just jumping on the bandwagon? Some of us have been on that wagon for 25 years or more
Okay, from the reading I’ve done I always understood it’s a suspension and performance package better cooling and better chassis stiffness for track driving. Yep! Been driving since 2006 but have owned a lot of Japan imports
The C4 bandwagon is the best bandwagon!
Awesome car awesome vid. The background music needs to go. It would have been so much more pleasant to listen to you without it. Maybe if it was lower..
If you sell that wing HMU
Why do people add unnecessary music which spoils the whole video
Thought it would make my talking a little less boring lol probably won’t do it again
@Jeff Spicolli noted 👍
I stopped watching the video 1/3 the way through. The music was just too distracting.
Sorry to waste your time buddy
That back ground music is terrible
The music is very distracting um
Boo the music; yes the wing must go.😊
You touchy glass. That is no-no
music is too distracting, next time set it to 15% in the editor to not overpower your voice, its annoying , couldn't make it 1/4 through video
Zr1 with a Concave ass?
And an l98
*Z51*
Wing does not fit that car
A beautiful car...except for that cheap ugly peice of plastic on the trunk
Thanks I agree! The wing is long gone
I just can’t do the c4 , That engine is crap & the style of the car doesn’t look good, Take that wing off & run it over with a truck
That’s fine, if you payed attention you’ll see this doesn’t have an LT engine…and I took the more logical thing to do with the wing I made money from it 👌
