I was lucky enough to know Shorty and Ruby. hey would stay with us when they visited Tamworth. I feel honoured to have him play in our lounge room.Such great memories.
I lived in the Kempsey area in the late 1990 thru to early 2000's... I spent a lot of time at Shorty and Ruby's home in Maria St, South kempsey--- what a nice fella he was - talented and humble - I miss him a lot.. RIP old mate.
Hello Dallas, would you happen to have the Rick and Thel CD Album, Let's Pull Together? If so, would you mind uploading the song Come The Day, please? Thanks, Ray.
@pyrofella i lived in kempesey just after he died and was in homegroup with his wife, she was a lovely old lady who spoke nothing the best of old Shorty. I wish they played his music more often.
@MysteriesOfNox Thanks for the feedback... I just found a pile of 45s that Shorty gave to me (he signed them all as well) - I will put a few of them up on my channel - there was a photograph as well... he wrote on it " the only media I didn't record on was cylinder - but I've recorded on everything else since!" - Cheers.
@pyrofella thanks mate, i would love to hear more of Shortys music, his Wife was a good Friend and I only wish I could have known the great man himself.
Love these good old songs and singers i grow up them thank you

Top song from Shorty. Amazing the dept and character in his songs. Must say too, top pic of Swanny and fiddle around the 2.25 mark.
Shorty Ranger and his ilk are the Foundations of a Genre of Storytellers who will never die......
While their voices live on.......
