TREES, they're beautiful, but thanks to trees, there will be NEW projects when the wind blows hard. Think you oughta save that concrete project for cooler weather? You EARNED a nice rest. Well done on that massive, back breaking, sweat pouring fence project!!! Happy Day!
I am going to take today off. I’m going to make a materials list for the screened in porch and add it up to see how long we’ll have to save. Then, maybe tomorrow I’ll start on the concrete ramp.
I can hear the relief in your voice at finishing the fence project. You are a better man then I am. I'm too old to be doing a project like that. Have fun on the new projects.
Sweet rag day here, today. Feels like is supposed to be 104. Thankful that the high next Wednesday is forecast to be 78. Summer is winding down. Yeah! *CONGRATULATIONS* on finishing that fence. Can't imagine the sense of relief you had when the last staple was hammered in. As to your next project, would it be easier to build a mini platform accessed via a wooden ramp? If feasible, suspect it would be easier on your back than digging and pouring concrete. ... Just a thought for FWIW. Sis had it last December. She spent 8 days in the hospital. She also tested positive for RSV at the same time. Last week my brother had it. His cough is already getting better. It's time for flu shots again. Thus, push for a whole list of shots along with that one. Other Sis said there's a new and improved shingles shot this year. As always, hope you and Charly have a blessed day. Godspeed.
@@bctruck Good to hear you're resting, a bit, today. ENJOY! Especially porch time. We screened in ours, a number of years ago, for the very same reason. BTW, mine was about like the flu, as well. Coughing seemed to be a little worse and definitely lasted longer. I've got to make the 25 mile round trip to pick up prescriptions, in a few minutes. Shopping, too?? Haven't decided, yet.
I’m glad to see you are done with the fence and I know you and your back is for sure. Too bad you don’t have a roto tiller to dig that pad and strip up, maybe you can borrow one. I told my brother several months ago that they would wind everyone up before election and I figured it would be over the supposed monkey pox. A scientist already said it doesn’t exist, but got to put that fear in people for it to be pushed. A screened in porch would be enjoyable. Have a blessed day everyone and stay healthy.
Wow! A metric spanner. A rare item indeed.🥴 Definitely, start ramping up the ramps. Ramps and a hand truck will get you to 100. Without them, you’ll end up needing them and won’t have the juice to build them. I need to carry three to four hundred pounds of coal up to the house with regularity during the winter. Ramp and a hand truck.👍 Need to get a new water heater in the house? Ramp and a hand truck. Got a new refrigerator delivered to the door! Ramp and a hand truck. All your helpful friends (the ones still alive) are weaker than you? Ramp and a hand truck!
@@bctruck Nothing? Well, your sure to have total success at that! I oughta know. I’m expert at “nothing”. In fact, in just a few moments, I’ll be out standing in my field.(Or ,at least, my wooded rock pile) I’m pretty sure I’ll be standing. I’ll probably end up doing nothing. It’s the out and standing that makes it a success.
Well,,, I doubt it. I live very a ways from a town that has delivery trucks, but,,,,, I am keeping my eyes open for a yuge tank, like 3-500 gallons. They would co e out for that much.
I got that bug when it first hit and spent 4 days in the hospital. So, when the shot became available, we both took it and a couple of the boosters as well. I think I will get the flu shot but will forego the new one.
i was in the truck runnin all over didnt comply and never got it i did have a plan made so that if i happened to not feel good since i was rolling by the house i would stop fuel up the truck and stay quarantined in it maybe that would work maybe not but it was a plan
We both had it and we also had RSV. It was no worse than the flu. Back when it first made its electoral debut, we didn’t comply and the only place that gave us and crap, was one guy at Walmart who thought he could intimidate me into wearing one. That didn’t work for him.
@@bctruck that’s all I seem to do anymore I have to back up and most of the trailers are to high and I have to say a lot of choice words and get out and crank it down before I slide the fifth wheel all the way under
@@bingo45373 here’s how I would get around that. I had a short piece of 4x4. I would dump my bags, back under the front edge of the trailer, slide the piece of 4x4 under the nose, air up my bags, then crank the Dollie’s up and inch or two. Dump your bags again, pull out, the 4x4 drops, then back under it.

Just sitting on the front porch adding up what it will cost to screen in the front porch.

We had both also. It was no worse than the flu for us. I’m taking today off. Might be a shopping day.

I’m gonna write down what I need for the porch to be screened in and see if we can afford it.
Good morning! Wish I could help with the ramp. In another life, I did concrete forms.
I got this. It’s a small project. I’m not even going to use forms. I’m going to remove the grass and dig down.
Brad the fence looks good. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanjs!

Definitely a ramp then. Not today though. Today I have nothing on the schedule.

Can you get the local propane company to come fill that tank at your house?

@bctruck that would be sweet! I'd at least call and check about the 100lb tank, though. Chances are they are in your area regularly.
In the Nam they called them " drive on rags"
I would imagine there was a need for them in the jungle.

I’d rather get covid than take the shot. Far too many disastrous side effects with it.
A friend caught it and said it was horrible.
We both had it and it was no worse than the flu.
Hey Brad now that you're fenced in does this mean you're safe from deer to grow some tomatoes?
No, the deer can jump the fence and to be honest, I prefer the deer over the tomatoes. I like looking at them.

I have the same problem with my back but the arms I blame it on getting in and out of the truck and the landing gear
I remember winding up some tough landing gear.
