Out of all the gyms in Vegas, you go too, Kilo Club is my favorite, and it's not even close. Never overcrowded, no waits on machines, nobody looking down at their phone taking 20 minutes to do 4 sets on a machine, just based off of that alone it's the best... Good stuff. Thanks
Thanks for the Inspiration Jay! Im 34 years old your fit for 50 has helped motivate me to go for it! Im in the best shape of my life ive and I signed up for my first ever bodybuilding show! My goal was to achieve 8% bodyfat before my vacation with the show in the back of my mind thinking if i can hit that goal I should keep pushing 5 more weeks and go for a competition! September 30th! Thanks Jay Keep it up!
You're still really young, I just turned 33 and I'm about to be a pro athlete soon. I'll be able to compete for a long time since I don't have the wear and tear from all of those years of training camps and competing.
These machines are top tier. Loving this gym. Plus its nice and quiet. I agreee with jay, that the pump is important. Plus i spend 15-20 min stretching out. Lower back yoga moves, vibration power plate stretches and some hanging stretches.
You are one of my favorites bro..I'm 65 almost 66 in October. Been out the gym for serval years now.And I look like I never worked out a day in my life.gotta back.get pass the thought. Appreciate the Jay walk bro.
Thank you for being my bodybuilding influenceer. Since the first time i saw you in person i think it was 1999 or 2000 i thought you were the hugest man ive ever seen! Ive met you a second time and still blew my mind. You are the reason why i love bodybuilding I want a Happy Birthday video from you!
Im 43yo men, who loves training and bodybuilding! I almost die drugs what i use over ten years, been prison many years, but God give me a another chance. Now i been clean five years and training little over 3 years and never been so healthy like now. Thank you Jay all the inspiration and good videos for training all the tips, its gold. God bless you!🙏❤️
Jay, your videos and content never disappoint. Enjoyed the videos from Romania too. You continue to inspire me and I can't say thank you enough. It's motivation for someone my age to have you to watch. I've enjoyed following you aince back in the day. Keep it up
Thanks for the great video, gents!! Like I’ve said before and always, having Dave and Jay together is the best. The stories and discussions is relatable to many of us. BS’ing but still getting a good workout in. I gotta get back to Vegas and check out these dope gyms.
Good watch, listen, and learn. Leg day today for me, was tuff, allergies hitting hard, made it through the workout though. I asked myself, what would Jay do! Thanks Jay!
I was feeling a low today after watching and listening to you guys it has given me lift mentally l feel so much better thank you for all that you do please keep it coming.
Leg day is my favorite day because it's the hardest as it requires the most stamina and strength making me feel that I really worked hard. I don't know why many people hate it or skip it, also the leg exercises are fun.
Thanks Jay and Dave for another inspirational video. This one is super sweet for me because tomorrow is leg day for me among other things. I'll have to say I'm like Dave on training weird ways body part wise. I am loving it Dave! I'm seeing great growth with Jay's movements and reps and odd body part splits. Thanks guys!
Ahh you heard it UA-cam. Jays new house! Tons of room for the parties as Dave mentioned. Good vibes all around. Love seeing Jay spreading the love to the community that continues to support. 💯 Keep it goin Cutler fam 👊
Dude had tree trunks for legs… still remember the magazines where they always highlighted his overall leg development and I would copy the workout he’d put out on those mags
I haven't seen a vertical leg press outside of your videos since I saw a picture of one on page 45 of the book Pumping Iron, that I've had since 1974. And I've been a member of and/or worked at several different gyms across the country since 1978, including a visit to Gold's Gym, Venice in 1985, although I don't remember seeing that leg press there. Any viewers know that leg press?Great workout, content, and conversation. Thanks Jay and Dave. Keep killing it. 💯👍💪
I love the videos you do the hip sled leg press has always been my favorite quads movement besides the squat . As a 63 years of age pro machines are better on my joints.
You Rock Mr. O. thanks again for the lesson on volume. Your camera guy made a good point, most guys just want to get to where you are now. Powerhouse man, please keep it coming.
No matter what kind of day I'm having,it's better after watching your videos. You always bring g us inside and make us a part of your world. Good stuff Jay! Thank you. Byron.
For some reason Mentzer reels/videos are blowing up like a new found epiphany. This likely won't be the last time someone asks you about that method. But it just goes to show, there is no one magic way. Your volume speaks...well...volumes! At this stage in the game, you know your body best.
"Stiff legged deadlift"...in the old days when I started doing bodybuilding everybody did do the exercise with stiff legs, however I guess we learn. Many had lower back issues due to the exercise, I guess that is the reason why we bend a little bit at the bottom of the exercise today...much better exercise 🙂
Thanks Jay. I always like to see what the best of the best are doing so I can improve my workouts. Do you do the bro split. Different body parts on different days?
That was a good leg workout and what motivates me to workout is looking at training videos online and I also have your videos like one step closer to name few of them.
What’s up Jay?! I was wondering if you could do a video or even a shirt that discusses training or not training while sick? Your thoughts and experiences with being sick but needing to train. Whether it’s a common cold or worse. Also headaches. I find it impossible to train with a headache. Please and thank you.
I typically skip leg day 🤣. In all honesty though, being paralyzed below the waist I am able to train my legs. When I do it's leg press (5-10lbs) hams (10-15lbs) and recumbent bike. I can't do much but keeps the blood flowing. Thanks for the video.. I think it just may be a leg day today!
Jay, I broke my kneecap in 1992 and that leg hasn’t developed like my other. Had a straight hard cast that went from my ankle all the way up to my junk. Keep motivating us!! Just am about to hit 45 min on treadmill. Loved the video.
Since I only have free weights I do a push/pull/legs split twice a week, so for today's leg workout, which I do something different each p/p/l split, Warm up is goblet squats to dumbbell split squats w/ light weight, 3 sets of 15-20 rep, then actual training is Sumo squats, Step up Bulgarian split squats ( front leg elevated), Bulgarian split squats (back leg is elevated), Front barbell squats Single leg calf raises Candlestick (straight leg) Everything to 4-5 sets
Just watched. Good ideas for when I start a split workout in the next month or two. I’m 55, soon 56, and working on size right not. Have made some gains. Eating like a horse. When I hit 60 and depending where my size is, then I’ll do more maintenance. Thx y’all.
Good for you man, age is just a number. I continue to break records and hit PR's at almost 40. Now I know 40 is relatively young, but for a major athlete like me who pushes his limits all the time 40 is getting to the point that a lot people are having trouble breaking records or even maintaining anymore. I even broke my vertical leap record and am still dunking a basketball at 5 9. Squatting over 500 natural. I hope to continues hitting PR's with the weights and breaking records wherever I can, hopefully into my 50s if I can. Glad to here your working on size and making gains at 56 man. What you're doing is inspiring to me and many other younger guys, and i'm sure people of all ages. People have no idea what you can accomplish with extremely hard work.
@@billj4525 thanks for the support and kudos. There are PRs I’ll never attain due to severe injuries and surgical procedures. I’ve been lifting since my late 20s, but I’m moving up a notch, with what I can. I wish you the best of luck on your goals and yes, age is just a number.
Every time Jay does his quad stomp, I'm pretty sure the whole world feels a tremor. Someone, alert the seismologists - we've got a QuadQuake on our hands! 😂💪🌍
If people that are 49 want to do a "fit for 50" is there any specific amount of time in advance you'd suggest people start, three months out, 6 months out etc?
Not knocking how Jay trains but he trains perfect for his body and proves how we are all different! His range of motion and rep range wouldn't make me grow an ounce but I've got girly genetics 🤣
nice video ,I be been doing legs twice in my workout cycle the last 7 months so feel I don t have to go super crazy heavy and just get a good pump with amplify 2.0.its working and at my age ,close to you,I be seen results.
It’s hard to believe that Jay weighs now as much or more than the much taller Arnold Schwarzenegger did at his peak contest weight of 227bs. I bet Jay would look incredible at 218 lbs. Slowly done. Although, He does look awesome today. (It’s hard psychologically to not be oversized)
@@ATOK_ He came into the Olympia at 227 ripped. He won the Mr Universe at 240 In 1980 he won at under 220 He would slim to a smooth 210 when not competing after 1980. He is light boned
There's nothing wrong, with training smarter than harder. Now that your not competing anymore. Your legacy is set. And we know who you are. So you don't never have to apologize or feel crappy about. Any wisdom, or education you might have. Concerning bodybuilding or life.
