Those signet books and harlequin book look cool! Those vintage hardbacks with the covers are awesome, I rarely find any here with dust jackets that look so nice! As much as I think the author on the back is cool, I am with you and the cool wraparound ones! Awesome haul!
What wonderful gems you have found. So many books to cherish. I did find a bunch of Hal Borland books on Hoopla; they look wonderful. I have marked them for the future. The only Taber book my library has is Spring Harvest.
I've been starting a list of Gladys Taber's favorite authors that she mentions in her books. I'm going to be on the lookout for several that she has talked about.
Thank you so much for the mention! You are such a sweet friend. You have some incredible treasures there. I'd love to nose around in your book room. LOL Great video and thanks again.
Oh, there is not just one room! We have books in every room! And you just come right on out anytime. You might want to wait until hurricane season is over though. LOL!
What a great haul!! Agnes Sligh Turnbull wrote another book called The Wedding Bargain that I absolutely adored as a teenager. The most dramatic, overwritten book but I loved it. I’ve never read anything else by her-I don’t even know how I got that one originally.
How many more do you have to go? Are you reading honor books too? So far I'm just focusing on the medal winners, but I'd like to read more of the honor books at some point.
So many lovely books, Elizabeth. I'm a sucker for vintage books and books with beautiful covers. 🥰
Same Tammy! Thanks for watching!!
Howdy, Elizabeth. You are sure taking care of your viewers. I hope that everything you need is coming to you after the hurricane. Love. D
I was determined to get ahead on videos before the storm hit.
What a great haul. Hope you enjoy all the ones you choose to read.
Glad you are all safe.
Thanks Fiona!

Yes, the wrap-around books can be so pretty. I ended up sending the Signet books to Steve Donoghue since he collects them.

I adore Peter Pan!
I need to read the original. Have you ever read Peter and the Starcatchers? I really enjoyed that whole series.
Nice finds!😊
Thank you!

This book cover says she also wrote one called The Bishop's Mantle. If you want this one, I'll be happy to send it to you.
I have Friendly Village too!
My daughter has been looking through those. I want to read through them with her soon.
Thank you for thinking of me regarding your Whitney finds. I am replete with titles to read with what I have available online and what you sent me.
That's good! We couldn't let you run out of books!! LOL!
I need to get back to my Newbery Award reading list.

@ I’ve read sporadically over the years. A few years back I started to focus chronically and got distracted.
