I’m not impressed. The entire Bama247 staff is underwhelming. Cody seems like a good guy but he just doesn’t have enough Bama in him. No one on that staff does outside of Kirk McNair. We don’t want complete homerism but give us someone who’s a little more emotionally invested.

I think the element of surprise, teams not knowing what to expect offensively and defensively from Alabama is key. I think the offense will carry the defense early in the season until we establish who can perform and play fast. Then i think the defense finally comes together halfway through the season. RTR
Obviously the guy can coach. He's put together winning programs everywhere he's been. So now It's a matter of acquiring top shelf talent to compete with other top SEC programs. If Bama can continue to win in the portal & in recruiting, he can surely keep this train a rollin. Roll Tide.
If you think he's going to compete and win titles like Saban, I've got some bad news for you. Nobody will.

caleb odom is a 6'6 or 6'7 former TE switched to WR and apparently he's a "taker" should see him in some red zone opportunities i'd imagine.
Bama did a really good job of mitigating losses in the portal. Only real major losses are the losses at corner to the draft and portal. Basically an all new CB room and will start two transfers and then the depth is all freshman. Talented freshman but still freshman. Other than that every other position group is relatively in tact and loaded. oline will be one of the best in the country. They have one of the best RB rooms in the country. They are solid at receiver. Returning their starting QB. Dline will be stout. Have one of the best ILB tandems. They lost Dallas Turner and Braswell to the draft but edge rusher is a position they have stockpiled talent at and they still have day 1 and day 2 picks in that room. They replaced Downs with another NFL safety in Sabb. Its going to come down to depth at key positions and how long it takes to adapt to the new systems on offense and defense. But the talent is there to make a title run this season.

Nobody outside of Smart could fill Saban's shoes, and I'm not sure even he could. Nobody will duplicate what Saban did. Saba is the GOAT, but it's also far harder now to win a championship than when Saban was winning most of those titles. You have to win more games now combined with the NIL and the transfer portal. Keeping a team together will be more difficult than ever.

Great breakdown. I'd be surprised if the Alabama fanbase was okay with a 9-3 season. I'm also surprised that Ty Simpson is still in the conversation. I'd figure Austin Mack would be a 2nd string.
9-3 with a first year head coach who is currently out recruiting Kirby for 2025 and 2026 is promising. We’ll see if Deboer can keep the momentum up recruiting. Saban lost to ULM his first year so who knows what’ll happen
Austin Mack just graduated high school. He was 17 years old at the time of the A day game. He needs time in the system.

The fact that Georgia plays Tennessee before bama does is another little key that could help Bama win in Knoxville. Bama can utilize that film to make the necessary adjustments like Georgia has done with our film these last few years. RTR

The best part of this dumb segment is the main reason people close to the situation will tell you the reason Ty Simpson struggled is his inability to handle it mentally during the games but for some reason Milroe is the one that has to work on things “mentally” typical
Yall just be talking to capture more interest. Jalen is the starting QB this year he lead the team to a 12-2 season he was a 6th pick Heisman runner. He has the most live game experience. Experience trumps talent in most cases. Kalen Deboer is going to cater to the strengths of Jalen to make this team most successful. I hate these type takes because if you played football u kno he is the starter. Ty Simpson did not play exceptionally better than Jalen in the A day game so how is it he looks more comfortable in the system than Jalen. I'm rooting for Milroe but I'm taking a wait and see approach.
The thimg is programs like Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio St can win 10 games(or even.the conference) with adequate QB play. You need big time QB play to win a natty.
My issues with Milroe was never throwing per say. It was not knowing where the hot route was. No getting the team out of a bad play into a better play. Finally, sensing pressure. Lets see if DeBoer can get Milroe's processing down. Im pulling for Milroe but I have to be honest. None of this means Jalen can't improve. It will be fascinating

He’s going to the manning passing academy this off season and working with Jordan Palmer. Who worked with the likes of deshawn Watson, Trevor Lawrence, Josh Allen just to name a few

I don’t think color, creed, religion, where he’s from has anything to do with any potential decision making in regards to the starting QB or any other position for that matter. Seems like the staff intends to put whichever player gives the team the best opportunity to win into the starting spots. If that’s Milroe then great. If not then you’ll see who they do think it is.
