    You could pull the plug wires one by one to help find a leaking /burnt valve , then you would know which cylinder is the problem . Keep the videos , music , projects coming , I enjoy all of it ! Does the brat have hi/low ? I never saw that . I have a 1983 Subaru wagon , bought on eBay and drove it home to massachusetts from Michigan ! Needs some rocker panel repair but not to bad otherwise .

      I'll try that plug wire thing never really thought about doing that! Thanks, and yes little brat has hi-low 4wd it's pretty neat lol, my dad had a 82 wagon I bet it's the same body style as your 83 he drove his to the oil rig and back it was a awesome little wagon until him and his driller was leaving the rig one night and smoked a 12 point buck deer that pretty much did the little subie in, anyway Thanks for watching 👀 stay tuned more content on the way!

    You need to adjust the two screws on the caberator

    That popping back through the carb could be a cam lobe going flat. If the carb kit doesn't fix it

    • @rockatanskyrodshop8533
      @rockatanskyrodshop8533  Рік тому +1

      I'm thinking it definitely may be something like that instead of the carburetor because it pops just idling to, cam is a easy enough fix tho hopefully it doesn't go to deep if so I got a 455 ready to put in

    Timing gears of that era were nylon , with a high failure rate after 75,000 miles .The teeth would strip off , jump time , falling into the oil pan ! Might be worth a look .

    Really enjoy your videos but in my opinion I think your videos need more talking and less music it does nothing but distract the viewer from whats really going on.
    Talk while your working, speak out whats going through your mind the whole time instead of doing things that we dont know what your thinking and what your doing you will notice the more successful videos do this and it brings the person under the hood with you instead of just telling them what you did after the fact tell us what your doing and why. when your not speaking your losing the attention of your audience.
    I think these changes could really improve your channel.....love to see more improvements on the hudson its what drew me to your channel ,thanks for all your videos they do entertain ,educate and inspire really appreciate you brother keep up all the good work
    P.S. I had a 68 442 and have worked on many of these Olds be mindfull of the connection where the steering box connects to the frame I come across several where the mounting bolts rusted away and were needle thin .

      @rockatanskyrodshop8533  Рік тому +2

      You know I appreciate the tips brother I will definitely work on that! I get zoned in on what I'm doing and kinda go quite lol but yeah your right it definitely would hold more interest if I was talking about what's going on never really thought about that until you pointed it out! As far as the hudson we will have updates on it coming soon! There's a car show in October that it must attend so stay tuned we got more in store for the hudson definitely and thanks for watching 👀

    Curious if there aren't a couple of crossed plug wires causing that backfiring.

    • @rockatanskyrodshop8533
      @rockatanskyrodshop8533  Рік тому

      I thought so to but I traced it out and re wired it twice to be sure, I'm thinking it may be 180 out and wired 180 out so it runs but not like it should maybe..? I don't know 😕

      @@rockatanskyrodshop8533 Perhaps you'll get lucky and it's just a bum wire or plug, or just a really lean running condition. It did sound like there was a gallop when cranking so I'd wonder if there was possibly an intake valve not sealing and causing the issue.
