Here we have the particularly beautiful track 'Meadows', which according to the composer is inspired by the birch forests of his homeland, Sweden.
The original features a wash of acoustic guitar, perhaps two of them, while a solo instrument (violin and then clarinet) plays the pastoral melody in the foreground.
I wanted to try and keep the way in which the accompaniment winds above and below the main melody with all of the cross rhythms and so on, and it led to a really interesting texture on the piano which I don't think I've done much of before. Quite mentally challenging to play, too, like a Bach fugue with extra syncopation. - Ігри

I can't believe he's playing with only two arms. I keep seeing it over and over again.
Whenever I feel overwhelmed, I play this video, close my eyes, and imagine the little piggies trotting through the grass.
The smell of bacon wafting across the clear lake...
Dude your timing is perfect. Well done. A ton of musicians I see on youtube really can't get the timing down.
I've searched for other performances but haven't had much luck finding any. What other ones are there?
Ahh the amount of hours I've put into the game, beautifully arranged!
Bravo 👏 👏 👏 Love it. As a keys player and a Valheim fan, thank you.
Incredible. I'm impressed you were able to capture the rhythm so well.
I had intentions of making an arrangement for layered guitars but... gave up. Looking back at my project file in my DAW now, I see I have all kinds of chunks ripped out with phase inverted to almost (the limiter processing on the original adds distortion, and a guitar and harp{?} layer was removed) isolate the melodic parts. It's a mess with a 4/4 (lol) rhythm at 76 BPM but with markers grabbings chunks of 14 or 22 beats, with indicators of 12 bar / 16 bar regions. It's an absolute mess.
All that is to say, I'm happy to see somebody succeed where I'd failed. And for solo piano no less! I'm incredibly impressed! Bravo!
I think in 3x3 for a bar (my score was 9/16 so I could beam things).
But then there's also cross rhythms, almost like a hemiola. I'll put 0 for a rest and 1 for a note :
101 011 101 // 100 100 100
That's sort of the base groove for the first bit, once you've got that the rest is mostly OK to keep track of.
Oh but the melody has a more relaxed feel over the top, almost like it's in 3/4 with straight quavers at times.
Give it another try? Maybe just two guitars for the background, maybe some little harp highlights here and there for pingy high notes, though you could always do harmonics instead.
(Though worth noting I'm mostly lining the melody up with the accompaniment in mine because it's too hard not to)
Please keep slaying whatever you do, I hope all these piano videos never get taken down, they are beautiful
Boar loves you
Insane maestro
I tried to remake the original sound track and the rhythm is just so hard to make it correct... Your arrange is masterpiece! The timing is not just perfect, it's beyond human. Absolutely love it🥰🥰
The forrest is moving
Fantastic!
I put this on loop while I'm working
this is AWESOME. I wish i had the sheet music!
Soo good dude! Love this song so much, it became a classic the first time I played the game.
Absolutely beautiful !!!👏👏👏
This is beautiful
beautiful
Sounds amazing and tough to perform. Great job!
this is ridiculously cool
YOU ABSOLUTE MADLAD YOU DID IT
I was this close to dedicating it to you but I had to run off to do my teaching
@@TheSlowPianist thats fine ! i've really been a fan since your concerto on shadow of the colossus on my main account. I'm really happy you're still at it :)
@@GTGComm on main account again. Always a pleasure to see you work.
wow, awesome stuff! I really like the rythm of this cover in particular, certainly one of the best i've seen on youtube. keep on rocking bro
Favourite arrangements ever, from final fantasy to valheim every single one is unique and amazing. If you ever invest in getting a fancy camera setup to look super professional like the bigger UA-cam pianists you will explode in popularity I reckon
It would be nice, but after lockdown a lot of musicians are just trying to find our footing again financially!
Also I like the single-take, fixed camera thing. I wouldn't want to be cutting to hand or face close ups or any of that stuff. I guess the ideal would be something like my shadow of the colossus video, simply done but with a good piano and good recording equipment (for that one my friend brought the high end equipment from his work and helped me out).
@@TheSlowPianist yeah the colossus video has a nice setup, i know you probably have thought of it already but a patreon could be good....i would def support your stuff!!

This was beautiful
You have amazing flow. Your soul is so connected to what you're playing, that's how you can tell a true musician.
This is amazing! I recently discovered Valheim and love the soundtrack. I've been trying to learn the pieces by ear on piano and the non-uniform time signatures have definitely been throwing me off. Masterful playing!
Just letting you know that I’d kill to have a tutorial to play this song, such a beautiful piece
I always found this song to get old pretty fast in game unfortunately, but your piano version is very refreshing!
Incredible
This music is Jeremy Soule levels of beautiful, as is your delivery of it Sir!
thanks for this its great for doing work
Its that longing feeling, think its the chords. But honestly who cares about music theory, it's beautiful. What a wonderful arrangement, it captures all the instruments.
Чувак ты сыграл просто великолепно
Jimmy Christmas, that's good
Bravo
I've never once commented, but you're my favourite pianist on planet Earth, just to let you know.
Thanks very much!
Wow, thats perfect! I spent quite some time just trying to grasp the fuck was the time signature supposed to be with a friend and intended to do it on musescore because it sounded so confusing to manually play it
It's some form of (3 x 3), but neither triplets nor compound time made for an elegant score because of all the cross-rhythms.
I eventually settled on 9/16 but it isn't pretty.
by chance will you do be doing the sailing theme? I'm not certain how it will be played on piano as its done with mostly brass instruments, but i'd love to hear your rendition/assembly
It seems to be a popular theme, so I'll give it a proper listen soon. Make a little set of three perhaps.
Wow very nice 👍🏼👍🏼
Does anyone have music sheet for this one, or a tutorial?
It's available on my Patreon, if you can find two other arrangements you like as well.
Late comment, i just wanted to say that it sounds amazing... I played it last week heh... You do need some more space :((
Yo man you got sheet music for this?
bump
Check the link in the description. I think its pretty cheap
Sheets?
Just updated description - had to get permission from the composer first.
So you live in a masky place? That's too bad. Great music!
Central London! And thank you.
