As an mechanical engineer in crisis finding something to do this video is send by god. I totally feel like your example of being in a box. I am really happy for you that you find something that give you motivation to keep going forward.
Thank you, I'm so happy that you found this video and that it helped a bit! Is there anything you would like me to talk more about in future videos? :)
Engineering is just the background. As Electrical Engineer I spent only 2 years in a technical role, the remaining 23 in different roles I enjoyed a lot. Many colleagues attach the studies to identity and it is where crisis starts. Well done Anna, you will not regret it, and you can change all times you want.
I'm currently studying Mechanical Engineering but often think about if I would be better suited for other careers like software development or data science. It's reassuring to hear that you're never constrained to the path you started on. I think knowing that you're never tied down to one company or position and that you have the ability to pivot on your own volition is essential to achieving a sense of freedom in your career and life.
Completely agree! And it's amazing that you have this insight so early on your career path. It's a super power that allows you to see opportunities others cannot :)
I’ve been a research consultant for a few years and I’m getting interested in mechanical engineering! I’m turning 29 in a few weeks and would like to go back to school but nervous that I’m too old.
Looks like you're proving a popular belief among my classmates: Mechanical engineers will do anything but mechanical engineering!
🤣
Your channel is amazing. Wishing you all the best in your new career !
Thank you so much!!
