I made this and it turned out to be delicious! After reading the comments i did actually chill the mouse for 3 hours before adding the final layer of jello and it came out perfect. I poured a bit of the mouse on 2 separate small bowls and went and tested how long before it’s safe to add the last layer of jello. After 30 mins, the mouse mixed with the jello. After 1 hr and a half, the mouse was firmer, but once i poured the cooled jello, some parts of the top layer would still float, i was able to skim them off but it wasnt good enough. And then after the 3 hr mark, that’s when it was perfect eventhough i added more jello than they did here. I would suggest making this dessert the day before to allow it enough time to set.

If you are a strict vegetarian, check the ingredients in the Jello Mix. Most Jellos have Gelatin in them! Gelatin is made from animal bones! Vegan Jello maybe available made from Agar, plant based substance!!!
