What a Great Show- Totally worth flying in from Oregon! 😊 It was awesome meeting you!
It was a pleasure getting to see you, have launch, and talk a bit. Love the comic knowledge you gave others. I also collected a bunch of stickers from sticker people and am proud to add them to my collection. This was my first Terrificon and it was awesome. Can't wait to head back again next year.
@@joshscomics01 great meeting up Josh. Hope to see you at future events.
@@bronzevillecomics2581 Same here Jim, I'll be at Baltimore Comic Con, not sure if you can make the drive?
@@joshscomics01 hoping to get down to Baltimore.
Sorry to say. I was one of the people who was waiting in line and watched you "somehow" get in without waiting.
He’s with the comic book bozo crowd
“I think that guy is with the show”. I cracked up. I OWN the God damn thing. I talked to you on the way out when you walked by. I was with Tom Welling
@@terrificon_CT lol. I realized afterwards. I guess I was exhausted from a long day of comic hunting. And I didn’t recognize Tom Welling. Shame on me.
Jeez give your ego a break! Imagine.....someone dared to not recognize you!Smh
@@ejapac1 lol
Jim, it was an absolute blast talking comics and just about everything with you! I like your “4 book” method, very cool and smart idea. Love all those Neal Adams cover, they are so dang good. The Batman 66 variant cover is great too. And congrats on the Kid Eternity #1! I’m so grateful I got to see it in person, and that book was clean! Great video all around!
It was great seeing and talking with again Jim. I always learn a lot about DC when we chat.
@@johnbigdaddyross2158 always good to catch up. Great to see so many familiar faces at the show.
I was there. Great show. I had Pepe's pizza for lunch. You are correct that the good food makes it special.
Gene Autry's contribution to holiday theme songs didn't stop with Rudolph. He also wrote and popularized the song Here Comes Peter Cottontail.
Terrificon was full of sticker people. Enjoyed meeting you and we will see you around the comic rack or the con!
100 years from now they will have a “Bronzeville Collection” Pedigree where eligible issues will be verified by a small white circular sticker in the lower right corner of the outer bag where the year the book was released was chronicled.
Always appreciate your comic book knowledge, even more so with gold and silver age books. Thanks for sharing your experience at the con buying comics and encountering the sticker people!
Gene Autry's version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was in Christmas Vacation, so if you've seen that movie, you know the song. But I'm one of those weird people who has actually seen some of his movies. Great grab. You're also getting me with that Neal Adams goodness. Love his work. Looks like you had a great time at Terrificon, Jim. Awesome haul.
I went to Terrificon back in 2022 and was super impressed. It’s right up there with Heroes Con as one of the best comic shows in the country.
Those Neal Adams 'Tec covers are some of my favorites from childhood.
They've held their value through the boom and bust cycles.
I'll Keep My Eyes Open For any All Red 66 Covers I Come across For Ya Bud
Hahaha that's me in the green shirt and glasses two people in front of you in line. Can't believe I didn't recognize you! Would have definitely said hello and how much I enjoy the channel. (I did run into Mike from Lunch Money Comics and got to chat with him.) Hope you had a nice show.
I will say this...that was the MOST comic dealers I've seen at A BIG show....in a long time. Good for die-hard comic collectors...
The beginning of the video that was Mitch hallock who runs the convention. Has a podcast with Jerry ordway called the power cosmic.
@@jimhallsun evidently people call Mitch “Bronzeville” sometimes.
Uh oh competition 😅
Okay I'm back into collecting after years away, I have a question what are sticker people? Really enjoy your videos.
Is that Clown comic by Harvey? The style looks very similar to Harvey's style.
Nice. I bet you loved those two small vendors with all the golden/silver age stuff.
Hi Jim Wow nice fantastic four book behind you. Want to sell?
@@donaldleblanc2162 yes it’s conserved. Reach out to me via email if interested.
You are the King of Sticker People.
Nice Video 🎉
love the Neal Adams covers. TErrificon looks interesting. how was the walking on the con floor - my biggest problem is typically the wall to wall people. I go to NYCC every year so I know the problem well.
It’s not too crowded to get around. I was able to get from one place to another with little difficulty.
As always, an informative and entertaining video. Love your insights and eye for DC and "esoteric" books. Also, in addition to all those things Gene Autry js know for, he also owned the California Angels for almost 40 years.
GREAT STUFF Jim !
Nice pickups! Justice League 138 is one of my favorite covers
The blonde at the 8:47 mark was smoking hot
I've got a real nice near perfect copy of detective 585 that I plan to get slabbed. I really like the look of that cover in particular.
I went on Friday. It’s was a good comic con. I got some sketches from Scott Hanna and mark bagley.
Jim, your Clown Comic Book's original on-sale date has been identified at the Grand Comics Database: Dec. 14, 1945. Source was Catalog of Copyright Entries, Periodicals. Always go to the GCD as your source of info for older comics. We are constantly updating the entries to benefit collectors. And currently we do NOT have any Mac Raboy artwork credits on Kid Eternity -- sorry.
What a great con! I prefer cons that aren’t wall to wall people like NY Comicon. Plus free parking! lol
Those Neal Adam’s covers looked great! Nice score!
Terrificon had a great variety of collectibles. There were a bunch of celebrities plus creators that were not promoted. The highlight for me was meeting Michael Golden…one of my all-time favorite artists. Since I didn’t know he would be there, I had to scramble to find a clean copy of Dr. Strange Vol. 2 #55 from vendors to get Mr. Golden’s signature. I didn’t care about getting it witnessed. I just wanted it for my PC. I rarely geek out but meeting and chatting with him was a genuine thrill.
Still have that hulk 181 cgc 3.0 ? Or did it sell at Elite ?
@@silversurfer1968 still have it.
Was my anniversary weekend so I missed it this year.
I would love to go to Terrificon someday, but I also like to go to casinos, ergo I should start saving. right. now.
Nice books! 🎉
Heard Keanu Reeves was there a long wait up to nine hours to see him, heard limit was 100 people only and didn’t charge for autographs.
Your hair is looking good sorry not a comic comment 😂
Go for the Whitman Micronauts 1 in 9.8. Better value
Trim those nose hairs.
Get a life
HA! Oh noes not sticker people.
Cutting is not right!
Clue me in. What do you mean when you say sticker people? I’m not familiar with the term.
Ok, got it😊
Please don't use your phone while you're driving; it is incredibly dangerous.
His phone was clipped to the dash and his hands where still on the wheel... relax 🫡🙄🤪
I bet you’re fun at parties
@@jakeZ79 Nope; you are incorrect. One hand is holding it for selfie shot. His eyes are not focused on driving.
@@Mike_oliver1313 I've done statistical analyses for transportation crashes; distracted driving is as dangerous as DUI. If you are going to make a video in your car, don't do it while driving. I'm a people person and love going to parties; just want people arriving alive, mate.
Jim, great running into you at the show and chatting with you, congrats on the Kid Eternity!
Even a poor person would recognize that that was your basement, not your living room.
First!
@@amazingmurfinator6338 cool seeing you yesterday. Wish we had more a chance to catch up.
