I'm 5 minutes into this video and I already can't thank you enough for this! You're a gem, Robert! Not many established sound designers are willing to share what they do like you do ;)
@@RobertDudzic @Robert Dudzic I loved the tip about Tonal Balance Control, but do you go more in-depth about it in other videos? There's just not much info about using this plugin that way... The sample has to completely fill the spectrum or is it just to tame the low end? Thanks!
I wish I understood more of the software stuff. But I'm hooked. I will watch everything you make. I've been a commercial photographer for 15 years. I've directed many commercials but the audio was always handled through client / Agency. I know very little but for some reason after watching a couple of your videos last month I'm hooked and rather obsessed at this point. When something rarely peaks my interest I drop everything and just gorge myself with information. I was diagnosed as autodidactic as a child. I've been wanting to make 30 second dark fashion films for clients and after hearing your works its just perfect. Pensive, stressful, ominous. I love it. So I'm gonna buckle up and hold on for dear life because the fuse has been lit. X8 has been ordered. Contact mic, underwater mic, and NTG 5 ordered. Now to spend the next few days looking for 2 stereo mics. My photo studio has about 80% of the stuff I need computers (both IMAC pro & Threadripper PC) Network attached storage, stands, Grip, 3 phase power, mountains of furniture blankets and 20x20 duvatine curtains. I've just never considered this.
Thank you, Robert, for taking the time to share your knowledge and expertise in such detail. It's incredibly useful and very much appreciated. Looking forward to seeing more from this series 🙂
less is more!!!defently, creativity is something weird...but my best tracks are from small machines.thank you to share your art and your way to create,it's very cool, inspiring me a lot♥
Wow. I really can't wait to see this series. Superb stuff Robert and thank you so very much for doing it. Exactly what I want to see right now. It's been a long time since you last posted and I really missed your videos, but I think this series is going to be well worth the wait. Fantastic. Thank you again so very much. I just got some Usi's a month ago and also got a Geofon yesterday, so hopefully I can also follow along.
The release of your series has come at a great time, as I am currently working on my final project for my MA in Sound Design. The insight into your workflow is invaluable. I was not too far off mind 😉 Looking forward to more in the series. Thanks from Manchester, UK 🇬🇧
Perfeito Robert! Não falo inglês, mas de tanta vontade de aprender o seu ofício eu até consegui entender algumas coisas!parabéns!!! Você é uma referência pra mim!um dia quero te conhecer!um forte abraço!!
I'm left speechless... I didn't even dream about such videos. Thank you for your effort making them. So informative and inspiring content! Pozdrowienia z Polski!!
This is so good! Thank you so much for taking the effort and sharing this new series! As some who loves sound, watching videos from ppl with tons of gear and amazing studios is always not as interesting, I only look at those as inspiration or to get the general ideas/workflow, bc I don't have the amount of gear/can't afford the investment, it's mainly a hobby. This is brilliant and got me super pumped to see you using the NTG5 and the LOM mics! I really need to try and catch the Usi Pro at some time! Thanks for this!
Thank You so much, Im glad you like. The idea behind this series is to show people than you really don’t need spend a lot money and you don’t need lot gear. Im working on next video and hope to have up on my channel sometime this week😊 Robert
Hi Robert, your Kontakt Toolkit for sound design is very interesting. Could you create a tutorial or provide some guidelines to make something similar? Best regards
Great video - very inspiring. At 22 minutes you show your own custom Kontakt instrument. I'm looking to build a similar Kontakt instrument, but can only make out ADSR controls on the gui. What other controls do you suggest making in Kontakt? Thanks.
Glad you like the video I will definitely recommend you to add Catofielder in the Mad will and some reverb convervolution reverbs and the delay there’ll be good start and maybe be shifting but only if you will be import your samples and 96 kHz otherwise when you gonna try pitch them down they gonna starting sounding crappy.
I see you are using omni mics for your stereo. Do you see this as a better option than direct mics like the Rode M5 for indoor studio recording? Maybe it depends on what you are recording?
I use a lot different RØDE mics and the is a lot experimenting with selection mics and how i got the right position to found the sweet spot and hit record😊
Hi Sir I am in process learning sound desgin I have some questions 1.You use 96k sample rate for recording but You also say what do You mean by 32 beats?
Any council for somebody who want to start in sound design for advert, cgi and comercial work? My first think is buy Cubase Pro 12..and for the moment learn Daw and FX with library sound..but some council or path? Thanks
