Please pray for the people in the comments who ironically lack the humility to be able to watch this message, and learn from it, and instead choose to attack Dr. White, or Calvinistic views. It is obvious who is actually acting in humility of mind, and who is not. Pray that God opens their eyes to their scoffing which is full of foolish hypocrisy! Thank you Dr. White and Apologia Studios! God has been using this youtube channel HEAVILY for a little over a year now as I grow in Christ! Praise God!

Been walking with the Lord Jesus for 3 years now and he had released me from many bonds, addictions and afflictions hold me back but I dont obey the flesh but the spirit but sometimes I fall. But I was dead and now I am alive. I never knew what it meant to believe but now i do. It's about a crucified life, living in purity and love and loving my neighbour as myself. Jesus Is Lord to the glory of God the father, it is by grace through faith we are saved all by what our saviour done on the cross. I new creature we are, love yous my brothers and sisters.

I dont have a home church but I do crave fellowship, to many hypocrites on social media that say and do not do, I stick to scripture and teaching my family. I have 3 children and do my best to teach them but it would be a blessing to have true believers around me to help guide and keep me in the way, but for me it's the spirit that leads me. Pray for me brothers and sisters.

I struggled with that as well, me and my family had not belonged to a church for years. But I got tired of not being in a local body of believers and having others to fellowship with, I finally found a church for us and we love it. Look for a Reformed Baptist Church or a PCA Presbyterian Church, those are usually the best, and even if you have to go a little ways to get there, it is worth it. May God bless you and your family in spiritual growth and in your search for a church family.

Darren Barclay like Jeff Durbin said. It is a command to go to church and fellowship with others. Keeping in mind that those others are not perfect as we are not perfect and that if they were perfect then there is no need for God when one has reached perfection. Church is for those that know they fall short and need God and the encouragement of others struggling with some of the same burdens. My family has been hurt in different churches and that was because we were looking for perfect people, people that we had in a pedestal. Even then the Lord used that for our growing and to humble us. Just read the letters Paul wrote to the Galatians, Romans and Corinthians to mention some, there were written to Christians and he was talking to them about the sin in the church and other issues among them. What makes us think the church now is any different or nothing but perfection?

      Joseph Canton great question.
In the teaching of Calvinism we would hold to the fact that our own free will is an absolute slave to sin. We can’t chose Christ because of the state our heart is in before we come to him. We only come to him by the grace of God and by only his grace we can come to trust him.
Unfortunately we can only chose sin without God, he must intervene.

Because we are so...wretched! It is most useful to know who God is. Knowing His Holiness and Attributes is essential. We in our finite mind perceive this, I can attest to that. However once you realize the Holiness of God. Down on our faces we fall.

@@Partyrockk Curious, I'm sensing a lot of hostility with your response. I just want to do my best under the understanding that God has granted me to try and answer your question with humility, not trying to spark an argument.
In 1 Corinthians 2, Paul talks about the state that a mans heart is in before he comes to walk with Christ. Without God, the mans natural inclination is to lean towards his own understanding in the flesh (his own conscious wisdom) therefore as a results rejects God out of an ignorance and inability to understand his calling. However since we have received the spirit of the True God, the spirit of truth and the spirit which raises the dead (which is freely given by grace from God) we can come to understand these things resulting in a trust in the Saviour Jesus Christ. Some supporting verses; (John 6:44, John 6:65, Psalm 58:3, Romans 8:10-11, Jeremiah 17:9, Ephesians 2:1-3.
We are born into this world, absolutely dead in sin. Our depravity hungers for the grace of God to intervene and breathe his spirit into us for life. Without that we are people rejecting his love, slaves to sin and ultimately on the path to hell. A dead man will not and can not ever come to life on his own. He is dead, completely depraved and incapable of coming back to life, but by the grace of our amazing saviour he can breathe the life-giving spirit (in which raises the dead) into that man Romans 8:8-11. What a beautiful Saviour.
Also, comparing Calvinism to Gnosticism is pretty far fetched.
I hope I demonstrated correctly how the Bible and the First Church would have taught total depravity. the book of Romans shows it the most I believe.

Question for you in reference to the Calvinism that James White so feverishly endorses....
When a little girl is raped, tortured and murdered.... is God thinking:
      A) Everything is going exactly according to my specific plan and will;
      OR...
      B) I did not make this man for the purpose of raping, torturing and murdering others; he will surely face the consequences of going against my will in the afterlife if he doesn't choose to repent and put his trust in me for his salvation so that I can start the process of sanctification.

Hey, James White ... if ... you confess Jesus is Lord in this life. Meaning you use your free will to declare that truth. It is by the merciful grace of Lord Jesus that He allows us to see truth. Lord Jesus says: Let there be light. It is then up to us to confess that truth to others.
Lord Jesus says freely give because you have freely received. We are to be in a proper relationship with Lord Jesus meaning we are to be obedient. And being obedient is expected of a true born again believer for the rest of our lives. We don't simply imagine the cross in our mind then think we were obedient at some point yesterday. Because today is the day of obedient-salvation, not yesterday. And since we are not promised tomorrow, today is the day of obedient-salvation.
Salvation does not happen in a moment, nor does it begin and end at the cross. The cross means nothing without the White Throne Judgement when Lord Jesus will say: It is done.
Because if you don't confess Jesus is Lord in this life, you will be made to confess Jesus is Lord when it is too late for you to repent of your disobedience.
Free will is nothing without consequences. And there can be no true love unless there is free will.
Your choice to remain a so-called "teacher" trying to sell trinitarian-ism is indeed your choice. Whoa unto you.
John 15: v13 an v14 ... Greater love hath no man than this: That a man lay down his life for his friends.
Ye are My friends ... if ... ye do whatsoever I command you.

Colossians 1: v15 ... Who [Lord Jesus] is the image of the invisible God. The firstborn of every creature
Colossians 1: v19 ... For it pleased the Father [Spirit] that in Him [Lord Jesus] should all fulness dwell
Colossians 2: v9 ... For in Him [Lord Jesus] dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Godhead is singular. Lord Jesus is all the fullness of God, the Creator. God is the Creator in the OT. And God is the Son of Redemption in the NT. And God is the regenerating force in His church as the Holy Spirit. One God, three manifestations.
Revelation 22: v13 ... I am Alpha and Omega. The beginning and the end. The first and the last.
Isaiah 44: v6 ... Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and His redeemer the LORD of hosts: I am the first and I am the last. And beside Me there is no God.

Isaiah 43: v10 ... Ye are My witnesses saith the LORD. And My servant whom I have chosen. That ye may know and believe Me and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed. Neither shall there be after Me.
Isaiah 43: v11 ... I even I am the LORD. And beside Me there is no saviour.
Luke 1: v46 and v47 ... And Mary said: My soul doth magnify the Lord. And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. [amen]
Friends. We never really know for certain if a person is a wolf in sheep's clothing. And even if we are all but convinced they are a wolf in sheep's clothing like James White ... pause for effect ... we are to pray for our enemies, and turn our other cheek. We are to rebuke those teaching or acting incorrectly once or twice then we leave that person for Lord Jesus to correct. Remember. Prayer goes hand-in-hand with fasting. Please do not underestimate the power of prayer.
I find it sad, and ironic that false teachers like James White ... that their only hope of change ... is from the prayers of the very believers people like James White are trying to deceive.
So friends. We are not to hate those like James White ... we are to pray for them. amen and amen again.

The "Godhead" "there are three that bear record in heaven the father the son and the Holy spirit" 1 john 5:7 which was written to the established church defending heresies. Who are the three? And one common sense question: who did Jesus Christ cry father to on the cross.

1 John 5: v6 thru v8 ... This is He [Lord Jesus] that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ. Not by water only but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness because the Spirit is truth.
For there are three that bear record in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost. And these three are one.
And there are three that bear witness in earth: the Spirit, and the water, and the blood. And these three agree in one.
You ask, who are the three in verse-7 ?
Answer: Lord Jesus. Because most trinitarians wrongly imply: Father, Word, Holy Ghost are three separate "people." Remember, I can just as easily insert the word "things." So if they are all different people what are the names of Father and Holy Spirit ? ... and since Father God is a Holy Spirit, who is this other so-called holy spirit ?
You fail to understand you are both adding to verse-7, and you are taking verse-7 out of context. Because when we look at verse-6 and verse-7 and verse-8 together, we see Lord Jesus. And we see three heavenly "things" of Lord Jesus in verse-7. Then two earthly things, and one heavenly thing of Lord Jesus in verse-6 and verse-8. But verse-8 simply says: These three agree in one.
Moving on to your question: To whom was Lord Jesus praying ?
Answer: Lord Jesus wasn't praying to anyone but was demonstrating how we His children are to pray to our Heavenly Father. Lord Jesus was demonstrating how we His children are to always have faith in our Heavenly Father even at our darkest moments, even when we doubt.
If you wanna say Lord Jesus was praying to Himself, fine. Just understand Lord Jesus referred to Himself in third-person as Son of man. Peter at Caesarea-Philippi equates Son of man to Son of God. And when Satan asks of Lord Jesus in the wilderness: If You are the Son of God, etc ... Lord Jesus implies to Satan that He Lord Jesus is God.
Lord Jesus refers to Himself in third person as Son of man after reading the minds of Pharisees who grumbled: Who can forgive sins but God alone ? ... Lord Jesus says: So you know the Son of man has power to forgive sins, then Lord Jesus healed the man.
John 5: v18 ... Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill Him [Lord Jesus] because He not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was His Father making Himself equal with God.
Question: How is a son equal with his father ? ... because a father begets a son. The two are not always together.
Friend. The first two things Lord Jesus demonstrated at the beginning of His three-year earthly ministry was ... how ... to be born again of water and Spirit. Lord Jesus Who is Father Jesus demonstrated being born again of water and Spirit because Father Jesus did not need to be born again of water and Spirit.
Lord Jesus has no sin from which He needed to be cleansed. And because Lord Jesus was born of water, blood and Spirit ... He didn't need to receive a second and separate Spiritual baptism.
John 3: v34 ... For He whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God. For God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto Him [Lord Jesus]
And it was John the Baptist who saw the Spirit descending like a dove because John the Baptist is considered the last of the Old Testament prophets. And the Spirit of truth would come upon Old Testament prophets strongly then leave them almost with a sense of amnesia. John the Baptist sent his disciples to Lord Jesus asking for confirmation Lord Jesus is the Messiah after John had baptized Lord Jesus. As well, the dove is a symbol of truth and innocence.
As far as the voice from Heaven:
John 12: v29 thru v31 ... The people therefore that stood by, and heard it said that it thundered. Others said: An angel spake to Him [Lord Jesus].
Jesus answered and said: This voice came not because of Me but for your sakes.
Now is the judgment of this world. Now shall the prince of this world be cast out. [amen]
So explain that voice from Heaven which did not come for Lord Jesus' sake ... then Lucifer is cast out ... and people around Lord Jesus saying an angel spake.
Oldest doctrine in the Holy Bible: God is one. And you wanna say three separate people somehow equal one God ? ... your so-called trinitarian-ism must flow into the larger idea of God being one. Friend. Three equals three, and one equals one.
1 Timothy 3: v16 ... And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness. God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory [meaning Lord Jesus]
God was the Creator in the OT. And God was the Son of Redemption in the NT. And God was the regenerating force in His church as the Holy Spirit. One God but three manifestations.
John 17: v4 an v5 ... I have glorified Thee on the earth. I have finished the work which Thou gavest Me to do.
And now O Father, glorify Thou Me with Thine own self with the glory which I had with Thee before the world was.
Isaiah 45: v21 ... Tell ye and bring them near. Yea, let them take counsel together. Who hath declared this from ancient time ? Who hath told it from that time ? Have not I the LORD ? And there is no God else beside Me. A just God and a Saviour. There is none beside Me.
Revelation 1: v8 ... I am Alpha and Omega. The beginning and the ending saith the Lord. Which is and which was, and which is to come. The Almighty.
Friend. If you wanna say Father God has a perfect supernatural will separate from Lord Jesus Who has a natural free will, so be it. Just understand those two different "wills" are in perfect harmony.
If you wanna say Father God and Lord Jesus are two separate "people" ... just understand they both occupy the same human body Whose name is Lord Jesus of Nazareth.
Remember. Only Lord Jesus' flesh and blood died on the cross. Lord Jesus' soul nor His Spirit died on the cross. Three days later Lord Jesus demonstrated a power that only He controls. The power of resurrection. Hallelujah !
Go get properly water-baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins per Acts 2: v38
Luke 15: v4 thru v7 ... What man of you having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness and go after that which is lost until he find it ?
And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders rejoicing.
And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours saying unto them: Rejoice with me for I have found my sheep which was lost.
I say unto you that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth [and is baptized in the name of Jesus Christ] more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
Remember, John the Baptist started what's called: The water baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
Paul in Acts 19: v1 thru v7 ... completes our understanding of proper water-baptizm by using Lord Jesus' name. As well, those twelve did not know about the Holy Spirit ergo being born again of water and Spirit.
And finally when we sin after water baptism we are to have our feet washed. Repentance is not just a mental ascription to an idea of turning away from sin. We must cry out to Lord Jesus for forgiveness and help. And we must also be cleansed from sin as in water baptism, and foot washing as demonstrated and commanded by Lord Jesus at His Lord's Supper. amen.
Peace of Lord Jesus upon you and yours.
