And a little something to add, Blitz has never been online, so I am willing to give them a little grace with getting it up and running. Although, I know that is a selling point and feature. It will sure to be fully operational by the time I get it.
Nice comparison! Dreamcast version via Redream can be ran up to 2880p. I play it on my cab at 1080p and blows that away. Added: Arcade versions with MAME can be ran at higher res as well.
I can't wait too get this in my home idc. Screen is fixed Cabinet Build is ok similar to NBA jam same with speakers. I think this Cabinet is a good buy in my book on top of it being cheaper then dragons lair and mvc2 so it's well worth it.
Do all 3 games have difficulty settings? I have watched a couple reviews and it looked like only 1 did. I hear the AI is a pain, and I’ll be playing this with other people - but also a lot alone.
Dreamcast is the most authentic console port and runs at an optimized 60hz. So you are not alone with this thought. I prefer the arcade originals but you can’t go wrong with Dreamcast.
Would you be able to tell me if the Dreamcast version runs in wide screen but its not stretched? I saw someone playing it who said they were playing on Dreamcast where it was in 16:9 but I have not seen any footage of that anywhere else.
great video fox. quick sidebar, if it wasn't supposed to be released until November (per leak), are we sure the unexpected early release blew the whole rollout? I haven't played it, nor do I have intention to get it, just wondering how it may change by November. I loved the honest review and understand you mean, "as it is currently". just curious how you view the sidebar is all.
I do really want it, but like you said, I think I'll wait for a sale. Maybe Walmart will start selling all of theirs for dirt cheap like they keep doing 😂
I have always wanted to ask you for some time now a question that has been lingering on my mind ever since I was introduced to your awesome channel but for some odd unknown reason I have forgotten to ask it. So my question is what music do you have playing in the background while you are making your 5 star review videos?
I'm so disappointed because this was one of my must haves being a huge blitz fan. But I just can't pull the trigger for 600. I'll definitely be waiting for a price drop. When they work out the kinks and it drops to 400 I'll definitely buy it. I already have the spot cleared for it in my game room so it's just a matter of when haha.
Awesome review Fox. Totally accurate. If I sell my Golden Axe I am going to get Blitz when it hits sale prices. They really did "Drop the ball" on that side art and marquee.
Great review Fox! I am not super excited about this cab as its not one i have a ton of nostalgia for it and i don't like the choice for the artwork but i did enjoy playing with you guys at the bnb. If it goes on sale here in Canada later on I may consider it or I may just wait for an XL version.
Nice review Fox! I wouldn't be surprised to this cab bundled with a 65 inch TV two weeks before or the week of the Superbowl at Best Buy or Sam's. Keep up the great work, glad to see you back home and as always.. Stay clean, stay safe and game on my brotha!
19kfox, I had a quick question. Now that you've played all three versions of Blitz on this cabinet. In your opinion, is there a reason to play anything but Blitz 2000? I feel like the Arcade1up NBA Jam cab had at least two versions of Jam that were different enough to warrant playing different versions, Tournament Edition and Hangtime, but the Blitz lineup of games just seems redundant. And just keeping it light, I think it would've been cool to see Sinistar as an Easter Egg game on the Blitz cab given the 49 way joysticks :) vgv
The different versions have roster and team differences so each version is slightly different. Some people prefer blitz 99 roster over 2000. Oilers fans like original blitz and 99 because 2000 has the titans in place of them.
2000 has game customization where Blitz and Blitz '99 do not. The rosters also change but everything is so aggerated the differences between players is difficult to notice. All three are different enough to deserve inclusion in my opinion.
19kfox, This is great to hear! I've only played two games in the series, the original Blitz in the arcades and Blitz 2000 on the Dreamcast. I remember loving Blitz (when I got to play it) in the arcades, but I never really got into the home version and didn't have the game for long on my Dreamcast. I remember it feeling very similar, though. That's why I was really curious about the different versions and kinda worried they were just the same game with just variations in rosters. I'm glad to hear it goes beyond that and there is value there. Now Sports fans need to see a combo 4-Player cab with both all the Blitz and NBA Jams games combined. And maybe even a bonus of NBA Extreme. I loved that one :) vgv
Great review. I bought the arcade1up nba jam a couple years back for 500. It’s a cool cabinet but after playing it, I realized that could have bought a nice 4ktv and ps3 or even ps2 and had more variety and better graphics.
Thanks for the review Fox. I ordered Retro530’s marquee for this and should be delivered this week. I’ll finish building it when it comes in. Really hoping they get the online going, it’s the main reason I bought it. Go Skins!!!
The arcade1up version runs sped up. It reminds me of playing a pal rom under ntsc. It runs at 60hz but it isn’t optimized properly. Also, it would have been better to compare against the original arcade roms and not Dreamcast. Dreamcast versions runs at 60fps and if it runs faster than that then you know it is out of wack. If you play against a blitz pro they would likely shut you down easier on defense at that higher speed. The opponent may not be able to react fast enough. It all comes down to them patching the glitches during fumbles and bobbled int’s and then getting online playable. I do think they put in work changing some assets like removing the NFLPA logos and midway logos and adding in the arcade1up and legends association logos. A casual person may still have fun but a blitz hardcore will notice too many issues.
Great review. I'm not a sports guy, so I probably won't get it, but it does look fun if you're into football. I definitely hope all the software issues we've been hearing about get ironed out. With all the work that went into licensing the games, the NFL branding, the teams, and the players, it deserves to be a flagship cab for them. Btw the beard looks good. I always appreciate a fellow beard enthusiast.
Great review 19kfox! 👍🏈🏈🏈
Thanks Jason 🦊🏈
I'll buy it in 8 - 10 months once it's on sale or clearance.
Just ordered mines
Good video man thanks. Won't buy it tomorrow. Almost made that mistake with ridge racer.
How is the sound, gameplay, joysticks, buttons?? Where is the review here-lol
👍🏿I think I'll try to get it around Christmas. Wait for it to hit 400.
Same here
Why doesn't everybody just face the fact that diff vendors make their cabs hence the lack of quality control and that they don't give a sh$$t.
Great honest review on your BLITZ cab I just got mines a few days ago cab wait to setup mines today thanks so much Fox appreciated buddy
Been playing the hell out of mine bro...love it
Hey Fox. Got mine and that Hi Def is awesome on this monitor.
Can you confirm? Missing tackle animations in game not just late hits, missing audio files, and still no online play?
Blitz reminds me of Tecmo Bowl simple football game but I refuse to buy at 599 for a 85% game 400 to 499 maybe reasonable
Great review. Think I'll be picking this cab up when it goes on sale. Which is inevitable.
And a little something to add, Blitz has never been online, so I am willing to give them a little grace with getting it up and running. Although, I know that is a selling point and feature. It will sure to be fully operational by the time I get it.
Fox is there a protective film on the marquee ??? Can you double check ??
Not on the back, just the front.
Good video Fox. I still want 1 Fox
Ever hear what happen to the first 1000 preorders of Blitz, to get a free blitz hat?
I cancelling my preorder with them so I didn’t get mine. 😂
@@19kfox lol, Arcade 1Up probably kept them, lol.

Have you experienced anything like that StutteringCraig put in his video?
Do all 3 games have difficulty settings? I have watched a couple reviews and it looked like only 1 did. I hear the AI is a pain, and I’ll be playing this with other people - but also a lot alone.
Seems fair. I love this game....I am at a wait and see approach on most things regarding this cab price, update....
After Super Bowl it will be marked down that’s my buy in …. Thank you for the honest review
Great honest review! Appreciate it!
Huge NFL fan, been waiting for this cab. Not paying $599. I can wait
*I caved. Been playing with my sons
Blitz has got so heavily edited like that's a big thumbs down
Been waiting for this one. Love ya Fox.
Nice and honest review. I felt the same way but didn't need to buy it to review it. Friend had one I could check out
I’m having distortion in the left speaker… have others had this issue?
I haven’t. It could be the 3.5mm connection on the PCB or connections on the left speaker.
If the online play was functional and it played well, do you think you would recommend it at the price it is at right now?
Yes.
Awesome love how you do your reviews brother 🦊🥃🥃🥃
Excellent review love how you did the side-by-side comparison also you showed the menu most reviews don't show that .Great Job! 👏
Is it bad that I like the Dreamcast gameplay better?
Dreamcast is the most authentic console port and runs at an optimized 60hz. So you are not alone with this thought. I prefer the arcade originals but you can’t go wrong with Dreamcast.
So far I love this cab, can’t wait for the online play, the marquee is kinda disappointing though. I can’t believe that would get approved
Would you be able to tell me if the Dreamcast version runs in wide screen but its not stretched? I saw someone playing it who said they were playing on Dreamcast where it was in 16:9 but I have not seen any footage of that anywhere else.
I'm not sure. It may depend on which HD cable you use.
Honest review.

Agreed. Wasnt supposed to be out yet. I would rather have this or any cab a month early rather tgan wait for online which will come.
I do really want it, but like you said, I think I'll wait for a sale. Maybe Walmart will start selling all of theirs for dirt cheap like they keep doing 😂
Great review, so did you have to clean off Beer or Bourbon 🥃 stains from the Chicago trip? 😂
I can neither confirm or deny the existence of said stains. 😂

It's royalty free music that I add during editing.

It’s not going to 400
@@justthisguy1948 every cabinet they have released in the past year in a half has went down to 400 at some point.
@@The_Bad_Guy. that would be awesome I would definitely take it at 400 I’ve seen the real one that comes with showtime for 1500 that would be sweet

and now it's Also controversial because it has Brett Farve 🤣🤣 what loser way to kill a legacy. Hopefully he gets jail time
I think everyone that ordered directly thru 1up should of got the hat. You would think you would get it sooner ordering from them but nope!

never buying a a1up, was gonna get my first, but damn what a terrible company
cool comment bro. care to elaborate as to why?
Is the power output from the power supply the same as previous A1Up provided units? Basically can I use the old version instead?
Nfl just like every sport is fixed might aswell watch wwe lmao
