In the Novel version of Bandhana the story is different. Husband sacrifices after he finds that his wife is in love with her doctor colleague. In Movie the story is altered to make the hero look good by adding the crap of him having cancer and not able to express his love and also by making husband to be evil .
@@HumbleMan78 the story was altered just to create sympathetic character which is more suitable for Rajesh Khanna than SahasaSimha . Many of us at that time itself felt that the hero comes across as a loser. 2nd point was , folks like me who already had read the novel and had liked it were disappointed with the altered story. And for these reasons this is least favorite movie of Vishnuvardhan. Boothaiahna maga ayoo remains number 1 Vishnuvardhan movie for me.
