Tortoises are so neat. They are literally dinasuars going back about a million yrs. Their shells made up of lots of plates. Their legs are unreal! All these extrusions sticking out and its like they walk on their legs and dont have feet. Then I love to watch them eat and hear them munch and crunch then buurrrpp! So neat. Im in love with these guys. Thank you so much for sharing. Especially to watch these in the scary, sad times we r living in now. Still some love and humanity out there!

I commented a previous video about them making weird sounds from eating to fast or from the juices from the veggies/fruits. I see in this video that it does just happen tho and they seem to make it work. It amazes me how much food they can put away.😂🤗

redfoot tortoises are pretty common for smaller tortoises to keep, also a possible but pricey indoor/outdoor tortoise is an Egyptian tortoise but it has special care for indoors

I am in AZ :D and yeah unfortunately I can't keep all the tortoises with the amount that they have, so after I make sure they are healthy and eating, I will let people give them good homes, but I mainly rescue the tortoises

he is pretty good with them, he was a puppy when he met them so he grew up pretty easy around the tortoises

The little long nail things are hard, but under their feet it's pretty soft as their skin on their head

@The Tortoise Whisperer. How old is Francy? Do you ever need to trim any of their toenails, or do they get enough exercise walking around to keep them "naturally trimmed? Also, it kind of looks like her tongue is doing all the work once she breaks off a piece with her "beak'. Since they don't have teeth to grind up the food or chew it, it seems the tongue helps her manipulate the food down the throat. Is that right, because l am only guessing? WAS THAT HER BREATHING HARD NEAR THE END?
