The Recruiter is one of my favorite characters. And Gong Yoo knocks the role outta the park. The bread/lottery thing was brilliant. Time and again, we ignore the 'sure thing' and go for the high-risk reward. Simple scene, but reveals one of society's darker issues.

I did not expect Gong Yoo, the recruiter, to be this scary of a psychopath! I was kinda terrified! It was really intense.
Fun fact the recruiter putting the gun in his mouth was actually improv. Nobody asked him to do that.... absolute legend.
Another fun fact: he used blank bullet when he shoot himself before playing russian roulette with the 2 guys and during the whole 1st part of the game , neither of them would die, when 1 bullet was in the gun it was a blank 😅 and later when he put 5 bullets 1 was real 4 wereblanks he told them their chances of dying 5/6 but in reality it was still 1/6 just wanted to scare them 😅

Fun fact during the Russian roulette seen only one actual live round is placed in a chamber. If you look really close at each round while they are being put in, you'll see that 5 are actually not live rounds.

Recuiter was even more evil after realising he used blanks with the 2 guys. When he had 1 bullet in the revolver it was a blank, tried on himself, would not die, and when played with the two guys they would not die either the had zero chance not 1/6 😂 and when there were 5 bullets only one was real, fatal. Told them chance of dying 5/6, but im reality it was 1/6. Lied so they were even more terrified 😂
You could still get seriously hurt or die from a blank being shot that close to your head.
The gun didn't go off because it was a "blank" lol. Blanks still make the gun look like it's being fired, there's just no bullet in the shell. The bullet he put in the gun to start with was definitely real.

Squid Game Season 2 is incredible. It takes a half episode to get going but it is excellent. My only gripe is why the hell Gihun didn’t just go on the plane to see his daughter and why he is so prideful about shutting the games down. But I’m along for the ride 🤷♂️
He probably has survivor’s guilt or something. I personally would have never returned and I don't even have a kid, but I can somewhat understand why he did
He's traumatized as hell.

I recommend giving it a try. Personally, I loved Squid Game. Watch season 1 first though or you'll be completely lost if you start with season 2. Season 3 comes out in June.
