My kiddos are younger so our cart has our read aloud, games, play-doh/ wipe-clean boards/wiki sticks(for now) for my kids to use while I read aloud. The bottom shelf is my mom shelf for my planner and notebook
I really like your idea of using a cart to keep everything nicely organized. Our basket was getting too small by the end of the year and we are adding History to it this year so the cart is a great alternative. In answer to your question, I like planning everything out ahead of time because I feel it sets us up for success in completing them. If I add too much prep in during the unit it tends to fall by the wayside. Your science unit prep videos were gold for me last year and I continue organizing them similarly. Thank you!
I love the cart concept! I get excited for when my kids get older and I can be a bit more organized with all of the things we use. You are amazing Ash!
We will definitely have a morning cart! My basket is not only heavy but can't hold everything so I would had to rotate my stuff from bookshelf in school room and haul to kitchen.
Thank you so much for your videos! I am going to homeschool my daughter next year (2021/2022) as she starts 6th grade. So nervous! Have been discouraged for years and ended up letting my kids stay in public school for elementary. Thankfully their school is very conservative and wonderful. But I do regret not homeschooling thus far. I feel so nervous. Your videos help so much.
We have a morning shelf🤣we use Master Books for bible, also read a missionary story and a read aloud. We also add in logic and a few others. Great video
We started school today and we do have a morning basket. They do bible, wordly wise, and handwriting in the morning. We have a few read-a-louds but we save those for the afternoon.
We have a morning basket but it’s getting a little heavy and a cart may be in our future. 😊 I have it set up as our summer basket right now with the Birds unit from TGTB, journals and read alouds but I’m gathering our morning basket materials for the school year. I like to plan up front as much as possible, it just makes me feel prepared and a little calmer.
I'm assembling a morning basket this year with anything that can be a group subject. It's definitely coming together in pieces. With 6 under 6 and #7 on the way, I don't have a big enough chunk of time to do it all at once.
Over the years we went through two of those cute little rolling carts. The wheels always fell off from the weight of our books, lol! Last year we switched to a flat shelf utility cart from Home Depot, we haven’t been able to tear it up yet. It takes up a little more space, but we roll it into the hall closet after the day is done.
I am curious how long your morning basket takes. I am assuming you will share in your scheduling video. I have never done more than devotions with the kids because I feel like we need to get started on their other subjects. We don’t do any combined subjects, but I would really like to implement reading to them. Especially stories of missionaries.
This is off topic, but do you happen to have a link to your white table caddy that you store markers, pencils, etc in. I saw it in a previous video and its exactly what i'm looking for. I went to Michael's and I couldn't find it! Thank you so much!!
How much time do you spend going through your morning cart each day for the devotional items? How much time do you spend on science and history on average? We are doing TGATB science for the first time this year.
Love your vlogs, and as a fellow homeschooling mom I love seeing what you have found for your upcoming school year and what preparations you are making. I am making a note to look up the American Girl personal care book and Guys body book. I need to find some good books of that nature for my 8 and 9 year olds, thanks for sharing!
The author of the “The Wild Robot Escapes” has another book called “Fred Gets Dressed” that you might want to look into. I was going to purchase “The Wild Robot Escapes” until I saw a review on what the author is about.
I've been binging all your videos! You are just speaking to my heart on many many things. I was hoping you have a video or list of books. We are ordering a lot from tgatb but I'd love to know if you have any other suggestions both for read aloud and for kids grade 1 to 4.
We have been working our way through Theology the last few months! I have my kids look up the verses and read them as we go along. Hope you guys enjoy it!
Okay, I am sitting down today trying to plan my year. Just our Start and end dates and I don't get it. How do you do this? When do you typically start? How many weeks do you plan as off weeks and still finish at a reasonable date.would love to see a video on this. Maybe I'll pay for a one on one with you to walk me though this. I really want to be more organized with my time this year.
What planner do you use!? I am really looking for a nice one and I write a lot. I barely use my phone anymore and have been loving going back to old school paper Also the meals for the week sheets you use. I love those too. 😇🤩
I just put together my morning cart last night! This is my first year using one and I am so excited. Ours is very similar to yours as I have Bible, TG&TB history and science. As well as 3 read aloud too!!! I have to do in little chunks as I have very little ones that don't let me get much done at 1 time!!
We are moving next week, but plan on doing a morning basket. I will be putting everything together all at the same time this year! Hoping to be able to start school by mid-August. Should give me enough time to unpack most things and organize for homeschool.
We are also doing TGATB Geology this year. Will be fun to follow along with y'all on that! Morning basket can seem overwhelming to me, but this looks very doable!
I love love love this idea! I’ve been struggling with keeping everything together and have carts hanging randomly around the house. It’s helpful to see how you manage the older and younger kids. Mine span from preK-7th. How do you rotate the books during the year? Quarterly or monthly? When you finish them?
I have been watching your videos these past few weeks...Ashlee..you have such great content!! Keep them coming. Im a new homeschooler and I'm planning to start the morning basket this year. Just ordered the built bars too...been looking for something clean and good-tasting...I hope they're as good as you say they are! Thanks for the coupon code!
I do our school prep bit by bit too.. much more enjoyable. :) I love the "Sing a Song of Seasons" book! We attempted the AG girls body book. Not a fan of some of the visuals & found some of the content direction iffy?! Definitely curious about the G&B geology unit! Looks fun!
I need to do this next week. I currently have a big basket although I thought about a cart big time this year. I would love to see your plan for rotation of the fruit of the spirit books. So far we’ve done two of the books altogether. Thanks for sharing!
This is SO OFF SUBJECT but what video is it ( or did you tell how) you explained how you don't wash your hair everyday even when it's hot out?? I have to know. I think it will help me with my fibro & homeschooling. Thk u!
This came at a perfect time! My cart is coming tomorrow and i just watched one of your old videos with you organising your cart. Can't wait to get everything in one spot.🤗🤗
Question ! U had one of ur boys doing a draw n rewrite it in cursive book. I can't remember the name nor the video where I saw it 😭 help ! Thanks do much 😊
Love this cart! Got it a few months ago and don’t know why I didn’t get it sooner. Thanks for sharing. I just wish you took the books out but I understand not wanting to take it all apart once you put it all in there.
Looks awesome! I just ordered some Masterbooks morning basket type books, and getting a new cart because my current one doesn't hold binders and books the right way I want them.
This next year I will only have 1 to homeschool and my morning basket is still overflowing! I think I will just rotate things in and out but I feel like I need a cart! haha!
When did you start reading the missionary stories? What ages are these good for? Any one that is good to start with? My son is almost 6, but I can't wait to start these!!
Curious how you use all those books on the top shelf?? How do read 3 books at once? I have always wanted to do a morning basket with my kids and just never knew how to do it/ how much time it should take. Any advice welcome🙃😁❤️❤️
Curious to know what type of folders those were for the science and history? We are doing G&B this year and hadn't decided on how I wanted to store thw student explorers and their science folders.
Probably a weird question but does the cart have locking wheels? I've been thinking about getting one, but we travel full time so I need something that won't move on travel days ☺️
We use a basket. It's a pretty big basket I won in a giveaway a few years back. I love it. I take all summer to get everything ready for the next year 😊 We are also going to be reading those missionary stories this year but I'm using To Every Nation from Not Consumed as our spine. Lastly, where did you get the memory verse cards?
I love those carts. We are expecting our first and will be putting all our diapers and hygiene stuff in them. When we get to the point of home schooling, we will def. use them!
My kiddos are younger so our cart has our read aloud, games, play-doh/ wipe-clean boards/wiki sticks(for now) for my kids to use while I read aloud. The bottom shelf is my mom shelf for my planner and notebook
Can you link your cart? Mine doesn’t fit binders and I so need one that does lol! Thank you!
I am so excited 😆 to get a cart for starting 2022!

Do you have a video where you go into more detail on the bible character matters cards?
Yes, I would love to hear this also!
Yes they are available
We will definitely have a morning cart! My basket is not only heavy but can't hold everything so I would had to rotate my stuff from bookshelf in school room and haul to kitchen.

We have a morning shelf🤣we use Master Books for bible, also read a missionary story and a read aloud. We also add in logic and a few others. Great video
Definitely not all at once.just got a cart even though I only have one child. We don’t have a room or area for school so a cart will work great!
I love your organization and school prep videos. It gets me in the mood to prep too 😊
We started school today and we do have a morning basket. They do bible, wordly wise, and handwriting in the morning. We have a few read-a-louds but we save those for the afternoon.
We love The Ology. It is great for all ages, including adults.
We have a morning basket but it’s getting a little heavy and a cart may be in our future. 😊 I have it set up as our summer basket right now with the Birds unit from TGTB, journals and read alouds but I’m gathering our morning basket materials for the school year. I had my built bar and coffee while I watched this video. Thanks for the suggestion and link! ❤️ Always love all your videos.
Best combo!
We love the wild robot 🤖
We love our morning cart! Still working on filling it for the new school year…
Where do you like to get all your reading books? Specifically like, the missionary books. 😊
I'm assembling a morning basket this year with anything that can be a group subject. It's definitely coming together in pieces. With 6 under 6 and #7 on the way, I don't have a big enough chunk of time to do it all at once.

Love this! I outgrew my morning basket and have been thinking of switching to a cart.

I am thinking for first time of doing a morning cart . It’s our 7th year
How much time do you spend going through your morning cart each day for the devotional items? How much time do you spend on science and history on average? We are doing TGATB science for the first time this year.
Yes, definitely switched to using a cart over a basket after you shared it awhile back. Loving it. Thanks for sharing!
Looks great! Have you already read "The Wild Robot"? "The Wild Robot Escapes" is the sequel :)
Opened comments to say this .Such a Fun and addictive read wouldnt want anyone to be short changed!
I was going to say this too !
Love your vlogs, and as a fellow homeschooling mom I love seeing what you have found for your upcoming school year and what preparations you are making.

Do you still do an art cart? Or did this replace that?
I've been binging all your videos! You are just speaking to my heart on many many things. I was hoping you have a video or list of books. We are ordering a lot from tgatb but I'd love to know if you have any other suggestions both for read aloud and for kids grade 1 to 4.

We started with a morning basket like the previous years but it’s overflowing just one week into school. So I’m thinking we may need a cart too💕
It looks so good! Going to set mine up similarly. I think this will help us be more productive
We switched to a morning cart also! Much easier and I love that I can roll it around the house based on where we feel like doing school lol.
We’re starting with The Wild Robot also
How long does your morning cart time take?
About 90 min when we have history added in!
What planner do you use!? I am really looking for a nice one and I write a lot. I barely use my phone anymore and have been loving going back to old school paper
Also the meals for the week sheets you use. I love those too. 😇🤩
I need to get started on organizing all my back to school stuff 😄 favorite part of the year.
Looks like lots of great books!! I'm in the middle of a little school prep today.😁
I have those fruits of the spirit books too!!
The stand is a great idea!
The fruit of the spirit devotional are on amazon :-)

I rotate daily, and then move out when done!

is this for the 2020-2021 year?
Don't read "The Wild Robot Escapes" without reading "The Wild Robot" first!!
We also have a cart for group work!
Using a cart. Haven’t emptied it from last year when we were virtual. I’ll get there...😂 this was helpful, thank you!
I do our school prep bit by bit too.. much more enjoyable. :) I love the "Sing a Song of Seasons" book! We attempted the AG girls body book. Not a fan of some of the visuals & found some of the content direction iffy?! Definitely curious about the G&B geology unit! Looks fun!

I've been thinking about looking at Good Pictures, Bad Pictures already... just in case... and The Ology looks so interesting.
This is SO OFF SUBJECT but what video is it ( or did you tell how) you explained how you don't wash your hair everyday even when it's hot out?? I have to know. I think it will help me with my fibro & homeschooling. Thk u!

The Wild Robot books are great. We enjoyed them so much.
I've been organizing our homeschool stuff in chunks too.
Love this cart! Got it a few months ago and don’t know why I didn’t get it sooner. Thanks for sharing. I just wish you took the books out but I understand not wanting to take it all apart once you put it all in there.
Yes, and that would have been soooo long to show the inside of all the books 😂
LOVE Built bar! Just ordered our favorites today. Cherry Garcia and Cookies and cream!! YUM!!!! Where did you get the Fruits of the Spirit books?
Master books
Looks awesome! I just ordered some Masterbooks morning basket type books, and getting a new cart because my current one doesn't hold binders and books the right way I want them.
This next year I will only have 1 to homeschool and my morning basket is still overflowing! I think I will just rotate things in and out but I feel like I need a cart! haha!
Ok crazy weird question. What brand concealer do u use? I’ve been looking for something new.
Tarte shapetape! Love it!
When did you start reading the missionary stories? What ages are these good for? Any one that is good to start with? My son is almost 6, but I can't wait to start these!!
Started when my youngest was in kindergarten!
Love the idea of using a cart! I get tired of lugging my heavy basket around so I may have to try this!
So so helpful as usual!!Quick question do u homeschool totally private or do u go through a charter school?
Totally independent
Curious how you use all those books on the top shelf?? How do read 3 books at once? I have always wanted to do a morning basket with my kids and just never knew how to do it/ how much time it should take. Any advice welcome🙃😁❤️❤️
I alternate days reading from them!
Which cart is that?
An old one from Ikea
Would you recommended the ology for younger kids?
Yes!
The Ology is great for any age!
Curious to know what type of folders those were for the science and history? We are doing G&B this year and hadn't decided on how I wanted to store thw student explorers and their science folders.
Once you pull books out from the cart, does it get sloppy and stuff start to fall over?
No. I take one thing out at a time!
Do you do all of the books you have for Bible everyday or do you kind of alternate through those books?
Alternate
Probably a weird question but does the cart have locking wheels? I've been thinking about getting one, but we travel full time so I need something that won't move on travel days ☺️
It does not
So helpful! Thank you!

Hi Ashley!!! Please link the Maps book!! Can not seem to find it. Thanks!
Google ywam publishing maps
I have a cart, though I think I need another 😂
Looks like great start to the day
I would like a set of the Bible verses flash cards. Do you have a link for that?
Check out home and haven on Instagram!
You have the sequel there to The Wild Robot. Is that intentional? Just sharing in case you weren't aware. 🙂
The wild robot escapes is the 2nd book in the series
I love those carts. We are expecting our first and will be putting all our diapers and hygiene stuff in them. When we get to the point of home schooling, we will def. use them!
I was hoping to see the insides of some of these. Do you have a video I missed of these?
No, I can’t do the inside of so many books. I share insides of curriculum only. Sorry!
We really liked The Wild Robot. I plan on reading Wild robot escapes too.
☕️
Out of curiosity and if you don't mind me asking are you all Christians?
I’m a Christian!
@@GraceandGrit I figured as much. We kind of stand out in a good way. Nice and wholesome. Keep being a shining light.
I would love to know how you intend to have the kids use the "Fruits of the Spirit" books.
I’m letting them select which fruit they need to focus on and they will do that Independently prior to our other Bible study
