Watch Archive of American Television Interviewees Leonard Stern (Producer of Get Smart) and Barbara Feldon (Agent 99 on Get Smart) talk about the origin of her role on the iconic 60s television series. - Розваги
Just a couple of years ago, I was at the Beverly Hilton and saw Barbara Feldon walking through the lobby. When she noticed I recognized her, she gave me a friendly smile. Classy lady.
What a class act! I adored her (yup a crush when I was a kid) and love her now because she is such a classy, thankful lady. I wish her the best!
Barbara's so sweet! I love her. Long live "99"!
Love her voice. It's so soothing.
She's still adorable!
Wow! She still looks great!
My first "crush" on a TV actress was on Barbara Feldon. That was in 1966, when I was a mere six years of age. In the intervening decades, how is it that I have fallen all to hell, while Ms. Feldon is more beautiful than ever? Love that smile and those great cheekbones -- but what truly radiates from her is enormous intellect and humor. A class act.
I think its a good thing that Don respected her talent enough not let her height be an issue, because her height added to the hilarity of the comedy. As she said in the interviewed her character adored Maxwell smart, and Max failed to realize she was smarter, let alone taller, than he was.
Her last lines. What a class act, plus a plea for more humanity.
9 dislikes...? I asked them not to tell me that!
Unbelievable how good Barbara looks! She's 80 now! I know this was several years ago, but even then...! And the only thing that tops her everlasting looks, is her charm! I was lucky enough to be a part of the "Get Smart Gathering", in 2003, where most of the surviving cast & crew reunited for a dinner, also attended by fans, through a Yahoo Group, devoted to Get Smart! One of the highlights of my life! God Bless the greatest show of all time!
Barbara Feldon truly has a wonderful attitude about her time playing agent 99 on Get Smart, I love this lady, all class, a shame Don Adams died so long ago, they need to bring the show back to television. I'm just happy I own the DVDs.
I just love her! She was perfect as 99. This is what beauty is inside and out!
Barbera didn't seem to do much acting other then Get Smart, Why?? She has so much charisma and her performance of 99 (Along with Don Adams' performance and Mel brooks writing) really helped make Get Smart the classic that so many of us love to this day.
I just watched the fourth episode of Get Smart (School Days) and there's a shot where she enters a room with Don Adams and very obviously slouches back against the door to appear shorter. The funny thing about it is it almost appears that she is really just trying to get closer to Max and look him in the eyes because, you know, she adores him! Wonderful performances in that show, especially Edward Platt, the Chief, who is so good at being funny without ever "being funny".
Barbara Feldon, Barbara Eden and Dawn Wells timeless classy ladies
barbra you were soooo funny and cute on GET SMART!! you really added so much to the chemistry of the cast with ed platt (r.i.p.) don adams (r.i.p) bernie kopell.....etc....the list goes on and on and on...and writing...that made the show timeless....
Barbara's appearances on "Laugh-In" were priceless. She'd have made a good regular cast member on that show.
Feldon. Hands down.
What a lovely articulate woman!
i love her voice...always have!
Agent "99 and 86- classic comedy! Absolutely crazy and you can see the hand of Mel Brooks to be sure!
She seems very down to earth and is still very attractive. Excellent qualities in celebrities. Big fan of the original Get Smart.
Classy woman.
Wow. Still a crush and still, that last line, if we would treat each other as if we were television stars shows not only insight but her her class
I was/am in love with this woman!!!
Barbara aged real well. When "Get Smart, Again!" came out, she almost looked the same 20 years later, but in obviously the late 80's/early 90s look. Barbara Feldon is one of a kind. We miss Don Adams.
cheekbones like geometry and eyes like sin...
'99' was my first crush.....and 38yrs later..she's as beautiful as she ever was.
"Classy" doesn't even begin to describe this woman... I always loved Barbara Feldon (sexy and sweet all at once.) Now, I love her even more- how many times do you hear an actor or actress who actually has good things to say about a role they played on a television series? So often, you hear a great deal of crying about how a character limited their lives forever after, but Ms. Feldon has only great things to say about the role of 99 and the show. God I love this woman!
Jeez, Barbara...you hit me like Elaine May does, or Paula Prentiss. Total crush. I melt.
I was 8 then, now I'm 47, my son is 9. We both love 99. She was so young & beautiful in the first episode. Thanks the whole team for all the wonderful jokes - over and over again.
I love you Barbara Feldon you're the coolest
Born March 12, 1933. A 79 year old stunner.
I watch Get Smart just to drool over Barbara Feldon.Gorgeous woman
Leonard Stern is one heck of a genius for producing all those great shows in the 60s- Barbara Feldon looks very well here-not bad after all those years--thanks for posting these gems--
When she said "rrrr", I absolutely melted like a chocolate bar on a summer's day
And she's got a very good point; life would be better if we were more polite and cordial with each other, regardless of whether or not we recognized someone from TV.
What a great interview with a VERY refined lady! I especially enjoyed Ms. Feldon's closing comments....a class act from start to finish! Get Smart was so totally entertaining......loved it then and now...
Alright Chief - Bring down the cone of silence.
My goodness she has a beautiful voice!
Love 99
Why would anyone dislike this? She's a sweetheart.
Wow!, she is STILL beautiful !.
god bless u barbara feldon thanks for making part of my youth loads of fun i hope they release the get smart dvds to the public soon
99, what a darling woman. Oh, Max!
The eyes, the smile, the voice...
Barbara Feldon was born in 1941. She is 67, not 77. I watched re-runs of Get Smart in the mid 1970's as a kid, and I too had a major crush on her. She is a beautiful woman.
A true lady...
I love Barbara Feldon!! She is so sweet, beautiful and intelligent!! :D
You're so lucky and I agree Barbara should've been in the movie
A special lady.
I had such a crush on that woman when I was a kid.
-jcr
A beautiful lady in every way.
She still looks so wonderful. we love you barbara.
I loved watching this show as a kid growing up in the 60s
Still gorgeous and such a great outlook! Those who gave her a "thumbs down", your world is a dark, dark place...
I still love her...99 times and more...Oh~Mrs.Peel of course too! Gotta love those Secret Agent Women!
I had a crush on this woman. @ the age of
9. She looked fabulous.....
She has such a unique personality and charisma. There really hasn't been another actress like her. In the Get Smart movie 99 was an annoying know-it-all nag. When Barbara helped Max out in the same way, she made it seem sweet and caring.
Interesting interview! :D
The talented Barbara Feldon is just as beautiful, suave, and foxy today as she was back in the 60s. What a dish!
She turned 76-years old in March, 2008. She still has that sexy voice and is lovely.
I don't know if it's on tv anywhere but you can find pretty much all the episodes here on youtube
yeah, she's way cool. how graceful, poised, sexy, fluid and well spoken she is. I agree. this lady is pure class.
Yeah, she was so beautifull and elegant.
@xbx2010 Anne Hathaway is gorgeous, and one of my personal favorite actresses these days. That said, I still think Barbara Feldon was the best 99.
For me, it wasn't just about sheer beauty, either. Barbara Feldon's mannerisms as 99 really struck me. There was something about the way she spoke, gestured, walked, etc. She just gave off this aura of elegance. That lady was, and still is apparently, a charismatic woman.
That's just my opinion though; you are absolutely entitled to yours.
Luv agent 99. She always had ring for everything.
I think she's still a doll. I always liked this gal.
Not having a Barbara Feldon cameo was the biggest deficiency of the Get Smart Movie. One classy lady.
I think it's funnier that she's taller than is Don Adams. BTW, she kinda reminds me of Cassandra Peterson (Elvira) in this clip.
She was my first TV crush.
Pure style - Beautiful lady
99 rocks!
Siempre me gusto la 99... que belleza!! lovely woman...
She looks great! She just turned 76 years-old in March, 2008.
barbara for ever!
Barbara is a class act all the way, and what a natural beauty.
You are 100% right................
I was in high school in the late 80's/early 90's where I watched Get Smart reruns on Nick at Nite....and had a huge crush on Agent 99.
Yes she is still very beautiful, had a big crush on her too.
Gorgeous
Barbara Feldon, Lynda Carter and Barbara Eden - in my opinion, the top three most beautiful woman in all of my tv watching memories - - and all of whom have aged quite gracefully too....
She is stilll beautiful!
I liked Agent 99! She was so dedicated to Agent 86.
Oh Hell yeah, what a handsome woman. I loved her more than Samantha, Genie and Anne Marie (That Girl), as a kid growing up.
I was not so sure who I was in love with as a little boy......99 or Ginger out of Gilligan's Island.
Nice video clip
You can see episodes of Get Smart on Channel One.
In the '70s, a beautiful woman pulled in for gas where I was working. Her BMW had California plates and she wore a mink coat. She came into the station to keep warm and we spoke for a while. She was such a friendly, outgoing, beautiful woman - and I didn't even recognize her until she handed me her Bank Americard! I saw her name on the card and I said, "Are you THE Barbara Feldon?!"
"That's me!", she said.
I put $11.00 into the till and I kept both copies of her autographed credit card slip.
No Nordy and @Vernilu and @Wyndstorm Barbara was born in 1933 she's now 79(2012) and still looking fab
Lovely, classy, warm, intelligent, well bred. I think MTM got all the big attention in those days, they are quite similar actresses.
I'm still kinda pissed that she didn't do a cameo in the movie...that would of made that movie so much better...
What a lovely lady. Didn't know she was tall. What is tall for a woman ? I often wonder how tall some actors are. Allan Lad was a short man but he was very tall, if you get what I mean.
Lady, you got it going on. Who'da thunkit - this is the first time I've seen her in 40 years.
Anne Hataway was agent 99 in the new movie, but Barbara Feldon was agent 99 in the sixties original series Get smart.
76 years old? NO WAY!!!
bangin.... barbara feldon or barbara eden??? marlo thomas was right up there too
Still, "quite a package".
WOW I HAD THE HOTS FOR HER BACK THEN!!
She looks good for her age
Please, interview Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman from "I Dream of Giennie"
@postalpawn: Amen!
Speaking of intelligence, here's a bit of BF trivia -- back in 1957 she won $64,000 on the TV show "$64,000 Question". Her specialty category was 'Shakespeare'.
Unfortunately, I never saw "80's Woman" and clips don't seem to be online.
There was nothing smutty or low-class about Barbara--she was truly sweet and kind, and for that she will always be respected. Just a classy woman all the way.
