"I wanted to contribute my own entry to this trend, something you'd only see here..." I was ready to see how you'd incorporate cucumbers into the tasty fudgy brownie recipe
I totally agree with the slurping sounds... that and people eating in cars making a mess whilst doing a bunch of unnecessary dramatic sounds while they eat (slurping, crunching loudly, wet exaggerated sounds, sauces dripping etc...)
Japanese pickles are made in almost the exact same way as your first recipe. Simple ingredients - a cucumber, salted and then rinsed, rice wine vinegar, sugar, a little soy, a dash of msg and let sit for 30 minutes. Or Chinese garlic cucumbers, again easy. Cubed up cucumbers, again salted then as much garlic as you'd like, soy, rice wine vinegar a pinch of msg and if you like, some chili oil. Cucumbers are so versatile and delicious.
I'm digging how you have started to add some of your own culinary inventions into these videos, the combinations you come up with are so refreshing and just make sense, I will for sure be trying them out. Keep up the great work!
Not going to diss those cukes. I knew the minute I saw yours that they were homegrown. I cringed a little because I have grown so many seedy bitter inedible cukes that I have given up. But yours are not too seedy and don't look bitter. Yay!
My fave cuke dish is a hot side dish. Peel, deseed, and slice cuke into 1/4” thick “half moons”. Sauté in butter till soft and a little browned. Throw in a box of frozen Green Giant Baby Le Sueur peas, heat till warmed through, toss with dill and salt. Simple but such a good dish.
I want a part two of this!! I was hoping the feta recipe was good because there’s nothing better 🤤 as for the mojito cucumbers, will I enjoy the concept I think that u missed out on was muddling some of that mint and lime in with that rum so it could absorb something other than straight rum 😂😂😂
I wasn't aware this was something that could be considered a trend. My mom has made something similar to the first version for years (though, usually with Persian cucumbers)
just when i saw mojito + cucumber, i knew the were going to be STRONG, most fruits and veggies that have a lot of water, replace that water with the alcohol, but they seem like a very good idea, very refreshing
I have gout and MSG is a major trigger for it. A few years ago it was pretty hard to get foods without it but thanks to Ajinomoto throwing money at influencers a few years back, everyone just accepts it as perfectly harmless and it’s in *everything now*.
I could never understand north americans calling cucumbers 'bitter' and having to treat them certain ways to remove this supposed bitterness, until i realised whatever it is that you guys are using are just....not the same as english cucumbers. I am begging you to just buy english cucumbers
as an american, i’ve never heard anyone call cucumbers bitter until this video. i don’t buy english cucumbers and have never found them bitter personally
I tried the one with greek yogurt and ranch seasoning one and unfortunately found out i didnt like pepperoncinis so now i have a jar of it sitting in my fridge LOL
I did not like cucumbers unless they were on a salmon bagel. I bought cucumbers for my salmon bagel last month, and had leftovers that I didn’t know what to do with. I saw the cucumber salad recipes and made my own… I suddenly love cucumbers. It’s also extremely popular in my family, there’s always one container in our fridge of someone’s own creation. Also I use DoorDash a lot so that code will definitely be used!! Oh wait… grocery….
Love logan, went on a cucumber salad kick after watching some of his tiktoks (my favorite was a lemon garlic dill one) HOWEVER the slurping bothers me, but what's even worse is the "mmm!" after almost every bite, hate that.
David I've been watching this chanel for years now and it's okay! You're allowed to atleast convert your usual videos into UA-cam shorts if you want more views. The internet is evolving and there's nothing "traditional" about a social media platform.
I had chimichurri for the first time today. My life is actually better having had it. I also had a melon mocktail today and it had cucumber and mint in it. It think your boozy cucumbers would be awesome to turn it into a cocktail
This might be too much work but to show the audience the food maybe have a camera facing down and looking at the table. Therefore you can show the audience the food without spilling it!!! I hope that makes sense 😬
DoorDash treats the drivers insanely bad you need to look at the mileage and tip double the mileage for them to make a good living wage so if you live 10 miles away from where you want to get food from you need to tip at least $20
Tell me you're voting Democrat without telling me you're voting Democrat "like Elon Musk slurping up to...never mind." Love it. Love you 💜 #KH4POTUS24 #sns

I'm so relieved you finally got a glove to go with your mandoline.
I’m crying that my mean comment made it into your video. I didn’t know it was home grown - that obviously changes things!! She’s beautiful.
That shade thrown on Musk had me blowing air out of my nose harder than usual. 😂

David I'm not a shorts person, but the mojito cucumbers need to go viral as a yt short omg such a good idea!!!!
That fresh ginger is looking a little green! Bet it was minty fresh though! lol

My favorite is sliced cucumbers marinated in raspberry vinaigrette with feta or blue cheese. I pack it with my lunch all the time.
You derped and called mint, ginger.
I thought I was crazy lmao. I was like fresh ginger? Where? But that would be a good addition to a mojito. Closer to a Moscow mule
The slurping plus his absolute refusal to use the citrus juicer correctly just so people will comment about it!
Or purposely tossing in the silica packet from his MSG LOL
@7:18 Fresh ginger? :p

I thought for a second that your version would involve pumpkin spice.
I'm with you on the slurping sounds. I hate that.
I have a sneaking suspicion that after a 4th piece of the rum soaked cucumbers, we would be looking for more of those happy little cuke slices!
i love that you've been doing your own recipes more, they always look amazing!!!
Love your content david! You're amazing ❤❤❤❤

You are my favorite creator!!! I'm always so happy to see a new video!
We cucumbing tonight! Great video and commentary. The music be bumping. Maybe I can try some cucumber recipes tonight.
Did we rename fresh mint to fresh ginger?
I feel you, I hate the overly dramatic slurping sounds in videos.. it's why I can't stand a mukbang video.
The amount of cucumber videos that I’ve seen this week is to Gawt Damn High
We're Mexicans we just love cucumbers limes salt and chilli powder
Love the News Intro! That was awesome man.
Did you say fresh ginger when you meant to say mint
I caught that too and was so confused.
i wish more people would try the lox and spread one. it looks sooooo goood!!!
Suggestion: Please try carbonara recipes🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊
Oh god, he would be hunted by Italian chefs.
That recipe with the chimichuri looks delicious!
Yes! I tried many of the recipes and am excited you made a video, too

Very cool how you grew your own cucumber and pickeled them!!! Hope they were delicious!!!
"fresh ginger" 🌿
Thank you so much for wearing a cut proof glove! Watching people use a mandolin without one gives me anxiety.
I like the one where you put it in a briny vinegary bath for a few weeks... 🤣
I have gout and MSG is a major trigger for it. A few years ago it was pretty hard to get foods without it but thanks to Ajinomoto throwing money at influencers a few years back, everyone just accepts it as perfectly harmless and it’s in *everything now*.
The owl! 😂
Everytime he said 'lets give it a taste', I was waiting for him to say 'and rate it 1 thru teen"
Anyone? future canoe lives rent free in my mind ig
All recipes look delicious!
“Im not bitter”
-Cucumber Seymour 🥒😂
i love cucumber
Definitely won't be making any but thoroughly enjoyed
This vid was Sooper
It’s only been out for two minutes, how have you already watched the whole thing?
@@olred3870 I've got fast... eyes?
I could never understand north americans calling cucumbers 'bitter' and having to treat them certain ways to remove this supposed bitterness, until i realised whatever it is that you guys are using are just....not the same as english cucumbers. I am begging you to just buy english cucumbers
I agree. I only buy English cukes as the skin is thinner, and no bitter taste.
I pretty exclusively eat persian cucumbers, so I can easily eat a whole one or sometimes two just plain.
... cucumbers come in flavors besides watery?
as an american, i’ve never heard anyone call cucumbers bitter until this video. i don’t buy english cucumbers and have never found them bitter personally
Yes, English/hothouse cucumbers are the way to go!
I advocate you just cooking your own recipes with inspiration from pop culture
I tried the one with greek yogurt and ranch seasoning one and unfortunately found out i didnt like pepperoncinis so now i have a jar of it sitting in my fridge LOL
YESSSSS, I hoped you’d do the damn cucumber thing
There is definitely a cooking to gardening pipeline
Is the MAGrequired or can I substitute potassium chloride for all of the regular sodium and MS? 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Making cucumbers just to pickle them? That’s what they did in the olden days.
i love logan !!
i've always loved cucumber idk why it's apparently a trend now lol
din tai fung is the best for sure, it needs a bit of sugar tho
TBH I thought this was more common?? my aunt used to always make cucumber slaw when she was alive
hey, as a suggestion you should try to recreate the 4 horsemeals of the eggporkalypse that babish made like 4 years ago
my man made vegetarian rum ham

Bros got the cumber
I watched this video while eating cup ramen and thinking about schopska salat.
Lol, I love when i catch mistakes in David's vids. The mojito one, he said "fresh ginger" instead of "fresh mint".
supermarket cucumbers are grown for shape, yours are actually a far more "normal" shape and i'll put money they taste way better.
You gotta do pumpkin spice ones now.
RIP logan's tip

wow.u garden? great job!
My heirloom cucumbers are always odd shaped but I don't give a darn because they're amazing. So crisp.
6:11 I feel your pain so much here😅 no hate to Logan at all but the slurping combined with the little moans make me so uncomfy and irate lol
This might be too much work but to show the audience the food maybe have a camera facing down and looking at the table. Therefore you can show the audience the food without spilling it!!! I hope that makes sense 😬
I am very boring, I just put them into lime juice with a little sugar.
those are ZUCUMBERS!
BORG-Pickles? You made BORG-Pickles?
What did the poor chopstick do 😢
Yay!!!
Feta and hot honey on its own is yummy, FWW.
🎉

Not sure why you're so negative about this. It's certainly not hurting anyoen for people to eat more veggies.
I HATE the slurping! People need to learn how to eat properly
Ugh please don't let door dash sponsor you again, yuck. Ground News would be great though! ;-)
Biggest cop out not doing the bagel ones ;p
Trump 2024
🎉🎉 Lets go!! FKH
Elon musk comment was unecessary.

Elon musk sucking up to ..... Nobody?
Like throwing a grain of sand at a giant. Useless and uneventful.
