Thanks for your review Dan and we're glad that you loved our products! We're more than happy to answer any questions. Oh and btw, nice try exposing our secret ingredients :-)
Dan C is going worldwide! Seeing how you’ve literally never steered me wrong in a scent recommendation, I’m gonna have to put this on my wish list! I think it’s awesome to look at international companies as well as domestic, as there’s a great opportunity to expand your knowledge and experience. We just need to do our homework and make sure that any company we purchase from is using good quality natural ingredients. Incidentally-never thought about using beard oil in the diffuser. Good call!
Great review! I’m a Seven Potions guy, using their balm practically every day. The customer service from John is also 1st class. Answering your question, location doesn’t necessarily put me off, so long as I’m happy with the ingredients (& price)
What’s up Dan C! People I’ve been stuck on certain companies for awhile now. I started with Honest Amish 5 years ago and thought it was great. Then tried a few more not so popular brands and it was good products. Then got turned on to GBS and love the products especially the Beard butter. I now just tried Scotch Porter and was impressed. Should I try a different company every month or stick with what works? I look for consistency, then to smell and price last.
I’ve been a UK resident from birth (N. Ireland) I’m all about supporting companies from my shores. My shelf is full of Beardbrand oils, ultility & styling balms to sea salt sprays so I don’t mind putting my hand in my pocket as I know I’m buying a quality product. Only recently I bought from 7 potions, citrus tonic balm & woodland Harmony shampoo. Best shampoo imho on the market. The balm smells so much better once put in beard it leaves an amazing super soft texture which is important as I have really coarse grey hairs coming from my chin. These products from seven potions definitely tames the wild man look. *****
I like Seven Potions Woodland Harmony. I get a slight scent of a freshly sharpened Dixon Ticonderoga #2 pencil when I first smell it. I love the scent and the balm really softens my beard.
Awesome to hear something good about a UK company - I will definitely check them out. If it wasn't so close to Christmas I would probably order right now! Although their scent profiles aren't something I normally gravitate towards. Quality is generally the biggest pull factor for me when it comes to beard products, but price can definitely impact where I order my products from - I will obviously try avoid paying extra import/duty/postage where I can but I WILL and HAVE made exceptions for things like Heroes & Legends The Villain because you and your wife raved about it so much. I loved The Villain too, and every day i feel like i need to re-order a supply from heroes & legends, but in an ideal world of course I would prefer to be able to order things from closer to home just to make it a cheaper/quicker transaction. It's nice to have options. Personally I would love to try some "exotic" fragrances, I have an idea in my head that middle eastern countries must have a vast quantity of interesting smelling potions and lotions for beards having spent some time travelling there at a younger age I always remember the smells of the souqs.
I was just about to get some Seven Potion bits, but I wasn't sure to bite the bullet or not. This is perfect timing. They definitely pop up a lot when you start looking around for the best UK beard products. There's so much stuff out here, I can't keep up.

I've had Seven Potions on my Amazon wishlist but quickly forgot about them when I discovered companies like Luxurious Bastard, Beard Octane, Chesapeake, Detroit Grooming, JC Grooming and Honest Ape. Then my more recent discoveries like Man Beard Co, Beard Justice, Uncle Donnie's, Jimbobs Grizzly, Can You Handlebar and Beard Hoss. I think you get what I'm trying to say. With all these great US made companies popping up out there who's got the time to go international.
I have only recently started growing a beard. Seven Potions Woodland Harmony was the first product line I tried, and I love it. It is a premium product for sure, and hence a bit pricey (a bit cheaper for me as I'm in the UK) , but I reckon you get what you pay for. Good ethically sourced ingredients, good packaging and efficient distribution and overall a high quality product. They also produce a great beard brush, and also a nice kit containing brush, oil and shampoo.
Great vid Dan! Teaching and Preaching! I have no issues paying for quality and like the idea of trying worldly options. I will be looking at these guys a bit more now. Thanks and Cheers!!

A while back Artius Man & Kingsmen package arrived at the same time and oh boy... Didn't held me back from ordering Chesapeake & Beard Octane tho! :p

I think with some big companies you're paying for their overheads. That said, I'm always willing to pay more for scents I really like.
I agree completely with paying more for scents you like, that is the BeardBrand model. And I would agree with you on there being more affordable companies with great ingredients, but how many of those companies truly have no fragrance oils AND have great scents? As I mentioned, consistency is something that costs a little more too
Interesting. I live in the UK on the London/Kent border and I belong to a number of beard Facebook groups here. I've found no reference to them at all on these groups. Their website seems like they are targeting the GQ reading, professional, business beard set as opposed to the beard "community/enthusiast". Over here, at least on social media, brands such as Braw beard from Scotland and Opie's beard co, Twisted Moustache, Bearded Rapscallion and Mo Bros in England have a bigger presence. 7 portions is certainly priced here to be a premium product (£18) but based on your recommendation certainly worth a look. Ps. Strange. For some reason they seem to have abandoned social media, with neither their Facebook or Instagram pages being updated in the past year!?!
Strange, I've been buying their products for a few months, they are very active on instagram and they have one of the best customer care I've ever talk to.
I've made a couple of US purchases from Artius Man and Kingsmen Beard Club. Both were great. If not for the cost I'd be getting way more. I love trying UA-camr's favourite oils/balms, but everyone I watch is from the US haha.
@@DanCBearded I know! I'd forgot how much it actually costs to get it here, and those two orders wound up costing me about £40 ($50) in import tax alone! Not including the cost of shipping or the actual products themselves. Crazy. I just bought the Woodland harmony oil and balm, and also their sea salt spray ( I found it really helps tame my beard). I'll just float these names if you're looking for UK stuff in the future - Braw Beard, Apothecary 87, Kraken Beard Company, Captain Fawcett, Robinhood Beard co and a bunch of people have recently suggested Eastwing Grooming to me.
