GBS makes a great product. The Gentlemen’s Blend was the first beard oil I ever purchased. The Bay Rum is a great summer time scent as well. I agree with you, I don’t get much if any tobacco from the Cigar Blend. To me it’s cinnamon vanilla all the way. I primarily wear it in the Fall for some reason. Great review as always!
Great video Dan C. The reason i started useing GRAVE BEFORE SHAVE. First was the name. They nailed the name if you are a bearded brother. Second is the art work and name of each oils are perfect for a beard brand. Its aways cool to see one of your old videos ans see how much you have come in only a few years and i cant wait to see where you and this community goes. Keep up the great work 💪🤙.
I’ve never actually purchased an oil or balm from Amazon, so I can’t say anything good or bad about any of them lol. I have heard good things about GBS, so another company to look into. As far as any other beard related purchases, I bought a wood comb and “boar’s hair” brush from there. It was relatively cheap. Got it in, ran the comb through, and it broke. The brush left much to be desired as well. Lesson learned-you get what you pay for.
I haven’t purchased anything from GBS as of yet but I’ve always been attracted to their artwork and YES they have some great looking hats that I’ll purchase in the near future.. So far I’ve had good experiences getting balms and oils from Amazon, my favorite so far has been a beard company based in Morocco; they have an organic Argan oil, Musk and Amber blend that’s just divine smelling. It perfectly captures the smells/scents of the Mediterranean and Northern Africa.
THANK YOU! For finally reviewing GBS. I have watched and followed a lot of beard reviewers and I am always curious how GBS stacks up but no one reputable has done one until now. My wife loves the Gentleman Blend, it was one of my first purchases and still at the top for us. I appreciate your honest review, I know people tend to not review products that they don’t get for free or a kick back or code for, but at the same time, a lot of new comers aren’t willing to throw down $$$ for a beard they just started. For sure, and I appreciate that. I have been spending the last 6 months using GBS and wondering why I like it so much, yet there are no reviews on it from the top beard tubers. I am afraid I am damaging my beard somehow. I would love to throw all my starter oils in the trash and buy the great stuff you guys seem to love, but that wouldn’t be feasible. I recently picked up some Detroit Grooming beard butter because of your channel and added it to my nightly routine, and eventually as the starter oil starts to dwindle down I can feel better about buying higher quality products that I am sure my beard will love. I have used a few of their products before and loved them. I did reviews on the Cigar Blend balm and the Gentleman's Blend oil. I initially went with GBS basically due to their marketing, I was seeing their stuff everywhere, and their art work doesn't hurt. After using the oil, I was hooked and had to try something else. I don’t know if you’ll see this comment but I took the advice of a fellow UA-camr in this comment section and visited the Fistcuffs LLC building in San Bernardino where the Grave before Shave products are made. The staff was extremely kind, and they offer their products in-store for a much cheaper price than online. I bought their 4 oz beard butter and their 1 oz beard oil both in the vanilla cigar scent for 25 dollars flat with no tax included. I originally was just going to buy the butter at first for my nighttime beard routine, but the prices were so good that I couldn’t turn down buying the oil also. Great staff and great products with fantastic scents at a reasonable price, you can’t go wrong with this company! First oil i got was the GBS gentlemans blend! Finally ran out and made it appoint to get some more. Got it a few day ago and its still one of my favorites! The art work is the best!! I think i have 5 or 6 of the oils and balm sets! Awesome to display!!

GBS also sells their oils in 4oz. bottles for only $26.99, and 4oz balms for $24.99. The 4oz oil is a great deal if you use it often. My first oil/balm combo was the Sandlewood scent by Rocky Mtn. Barber Company. Both of these scents remain high on my list, despite owning about 30 different combos now (thanks to you and your fellow UA-camrs).

GBS is my absolute favorite company! Was originally drawn to them due to it being a great priced Prime product and the presentation (best in the game in my opinion). Absolutely love the Gentleman’s Blend and Bay Rum scents. What really keeps me coming back, which I was surprised you didn’t mention here, is they offer 4 OZ bottles/tins of oil/balm and they have amazing deals to mix and match scents (on Gravebeforeshave.com, which also has free shipping which is amazing). For me I go through oil way faster than balm, so it’s nice to be able to buy 4 OZ of oil and 2 of balm. But seriously, $27 bucks for 4 OZ of oil is unreal, especially considering I just ordered Huckstle for 25 bucks for 1 OZ.
Glad to see this video..GBS is one of my first companies and I am a big fan of their oil and balm..just got the teakwood butter and it smells awesome and makes my beard nice and soft...My favorite scents are aphrodisiac and headhunter from them..nice video again
Also I found grave before shave from google when I first grew a beard a couple years ago..and too their bay rum scent is really good it seems to me that it’s a touch thicker than the other scents
Awesome video Dan. Teaching and Preaching!!! I used GBS about 3 years ago when I became serious about using actual beard products. I was drawn to them because a lot of the mainstream internet articles in like Men’s Health list them. Also we use Amazon for everything and you can’t beat GBS prices and more importantly their free 2 day shipping. Honestly that shipping is a GAMECHANGER. Another huge selling point is they are always in stock. I have noticed that since switching to more of a small batch approach it can take sometimes a week to week and a half before I get my orders. Not the end of the world...but I am aware of it. Hmmm maybe I need to give these guys a bit of a try again. Keep up the great work, cheers buddy!

Gary Lewis yeah man for sure. I think there are very unique and awesome benefits of small batch companies. And I totally appreciate the hustle that you guys put in everyday. With that said though just like anything in life there are pros and cons just as there are with larger companies. I think the key is moderation and to have a good blend of both.
I am considering trying beard balm for the first time, but I just have a few questions I want your opinion about: when I style my head hair with styling product I wash my hair every 3rd day, but not every day, if I start using balm (a styling product for beards) would you recommend me washing my beard every 3rd day, but not every day or can I just stick to my once a week washing my beard like I am currently doing? Grave before shave beard butter is amazing, if you can only buy one beard butter for the rest of your life grave before shave beard butter would be the one, in my opinion. Not a fan of cigar sent from beard companies in my opinion, but the other sents are amazing from grave befor shaves line of products.
@@DanCBearded thanks for the advice.😃 I just ordered a few days ago grave before shave beard wash 🤞🏻 it’s better than ever man jack beard wash, if grave before shave beard wash works better for me and I can use it more often when washing my beard then I might start washing my beard more often, not every day, but more often( more than just once a week, I am currently washing once a week , not by choice, but only because if I use every man jack beard wash more then once in a week my skin under my beard feels super dry.).

In your opinion what is your evaluation of each of the different scents of Grave Before Shave? I was thinking about using the aphrodisiac scent, gentleman's blend, in comparison to the Honest Amish. I plan to use a combination of beard oil and beard butter.
Great video dan. I've never tried grave before shave. I've thought about it but really wasn't sure if it was worth it. I didn't want to fall for the cool name and artwork. I might take into consideration what you've told us and maybe try some. As for amozon, my wife bought me my first beard oil and balm with a comb. She got me the same QQ WOW set that you have reviewed in the past. To be honest i loved the smell and the feel in beard wasn't bad at all.
I've not tried Grave Before Shave. Nor have I ordered anything off of Amazon. I started with Honest Amish from Wal-Mart and then started ordering from the companies directly.

I love the consistency and hold of GBS balms. That being said, I did have a problem with a tin of Cigar Blend that I bought recently. The balm didn't fully break down on my fingertips, leaving little pellets of hardened balm. I was told this can happen due to temperature changes when it's stored or shipped. Anyway, I just melt the balm with a hair dryer and let it solidify again before applying and it seems to work. I like their products so much that I'll give them another shot.
GBS was one of my first oils and balms back in 2013,, Since then its been on my rotation !! I've tried every scent they have w/ the exclusion of their newest one which is called "Aphrodisiac Blend" which arrives on Wednesday. Every product they have is just solid zero issues and their customer service is on point !!
I have been using the vanilla cigar scent from GBS for almost a year and a half now after watching this review. I don't use balm so I got the oil and butter and I love the scent and both products. As a smoker of 40 + years now it's one of my favorites and I can definitely smell the cigar but not as strongly as the vanilla. Of course that may be the inherent tobacco scent from my own beard blending with the oil/butter. It's the only scent I've tried from the company that I can even use, have ordered several others after having such good results with this one but wound up giving them away to my sons and friends due to not liking the different scents. This one is definitely always in my rotation and immediately re-ordered when it even starts to look low.
Another great video. Grave before shave has always been my go to. I like most of their scents. The new one Aphrodisiac smells fantastic. However I’m waiting for my Beard Octane products, I can’t wait, I want it now.
I tend to stay away from Amazon when it comes to things like this for the exact reason you said in the video. I don't know what I am getting as far as quality. Might make an exception for this!
I ordered some Detroit Grooming butter from Amazon. Never tried GBS products, but I think I would like this one if it smells similar to root beer. Sounds like an interesting product and the aloe vera is something not found in products currently sitting on my shelf. You and Sam are a hoot to watch. My first Barber used Grave before Shave. The barber the I use now, uses Luxurious Bastard products, Beard Octane products, and Beard Brand (gold line ) products. Now, She didn't... But she is the best barber that I've seen. So I bought her what I use. And now she buys her own and I see her every 8 or 9 weeks. And believe it or not, its because of you. Thanks.
This was my first beard oil, balm and butter. I love the smell. I smoke a pipe. I love vanilla tobacco. I think this almost smells exactly like that, after i smoke the pipe. People who smell my beard tells me it smells like pumpkin spice almost. I don't really get that, but I've heard it a few times.

I have not tried any grave before shave products but have indeed heard of them. Now that I saw your review and I fully trust your opinions I would definitely be willing to try them, especially with the convenience of Amazon prime lol. Haven't tried much beard products off Amazon. The one I did that I was using for a while was the polished gentleman beard wash and conditioner which wasn't terrible, but after exploring the bearded community a little more I now use and like better the scotch Porter conditioner and artius man beard wash.
GBS (cigar blend) was my second ever balm and oil from them, I now have the Gentleman’s blend, and Bay Rum. The cigar blend is my favorite out of the 3. The price point is good and the scents are not overpowering. The Bay Rum is somewhat of a cologne which I’m not a huge fan of but it mellows out after a few hours. I like the convenience of amazon and you can’t beat the presentation! I also get a Dr. Pepper smell from the cigar blend. Great review as always!

GBS was my first real purchase of beard oil and balm mainly due to their intense advertising. They are everywhere when you search for anything beard related. The name and artwork just draw you in. Love the Cigar Blend but my and my wife's favorite is the Bay Rum. I definitely recommend getting that scent, it's refreshing, relaxing, and slightly complex. Only drawback for me was it did leave my beard feeling slighty dry by the end of the day. Great video again and you and Sam should include more thumbnail poses, hilarious.

I use GBS products regularly. I have for many years now. I can't remember how I stumbled on to their products but I know it was before their presence on Amazon. I've tried a lot of their scents they have all been great. Balm oil and beard shampoo!

I also don’t get much cigar scent from the oil, definitely a rich vanilla with a hint of something else that I still can’t figure out. But it still smells great! My personal favorite oil from GBS is the caramel coffee oil & balm. I’ve tried other products & some have come close but GBS is still the top brand I use for all my beard needs.

I am a big fan of GBS butter and I'm currently using their teakwood scent. I would have bought the cigar blend but they only had the one at the time. I was never interested in trying GBS, but when I saw they started making butters I had to try it. I do plan on getting a sample pack, because their scents do intrigue me. Also, my go to cheap Amazon product was Polished Gentleman. They always had coupon codes on Facebook and you could get their products for a couple bucks.

I love this beard oil and balm. Interesting that it smells like root beer to you. To me, it has a very cola/Dr. Pepper kind of scent. I don’t get any of the tobacco scent from it - which isn’t a bad thing. I was very pleasantly surprised by the scent, and I wish they also made the scent in a hair pomade.
Grave Before Shave Cigar Vanilla scent was actually my first beard products. I love this company. I just recently bought the Tequila Limón scent and that is my personal favorite right now. A friend of mine told me about GBS!
Great review! Like you I was pleasantly surprised by their cigar blend because I didn't get any cigar scent at all. I have tried three different oil/balm scents from them and they have all been winners in my book. So far their Bay Rum has been my favorite. I know a lot of Bay Rum scents are different and sometimes have a spice to them but not GBS. Their Bay Rum is a very tropical scent that I really love. Anyway I'm glad you liked them since I really love their products and I know lots of others have wanted you to review them. I'm sure Sam likes that Caramel Mocha a bit more ;) lol.
Actually scuba said it was one of his favorites and the vanilla smell is never a bad choice. The oil has a good thickness and stays in your beard for quite a while.

I just got my first oil/balm combo from GBS, I got the teakwood, and then the cigar blend. I love them both, the cigar blend smells EXACTLY like Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille cologne. I mean EXACTLY!! To be honest the oil and balm scent lasts longer than the cologne!
Haven't tried any GBS products. I have purchased one of my two co-washes on Amazon and that's the Bossman Fortifying Conditioner in the Magic scent. Good stuff but not as good as my Luxurious Bastard Coconut Breeze. I would love to see a top 3 or maybe top 5 co-washes list of yours. 👍
GBS is a great starter brand imo, they were my first product purchase back in 2014. I’ve purchased many combos from them, from the Pine Scent, to Tequila Limon to Gentlemen’s Blend & etc etc.. going for one of their new butters next. Thanks for sharing Dan. I was sold on their artwork tbh, I had never bought an oil before & I just went with them. My friend let me use some of the gentlemans blend and I fell in love. The balm is so smoth and one of the only ones I have ever used that dose not leave my hands feeling greasy afterwards. And they always have great promo codes to use on there website and free shipping as well

Their teakwood scent is wonderful. I recommend giving that one a try, or the bay rum. The beard butters are great as well. Can't beat the price, plus the free shipping is the icing on top.
I know this was an old review and it's been a while using any of their products but just ordered the Butter. For me when I did use cigar blend to me smells just like egg nog. I guess it's the warm vanilla and cinnamon mix. This will be my first with the butter from them so excited to try.
They were one of my first beard products i bought a few years ago in a sampler pack. I really enjoy them! I currently have two of their scents (The Gentleman Blend and the aphrodisiac) Both smell great and would recommend to anyone! And the artwork like you said is great, looks awesome on my beard shelf!
I'm a big GBS fan. I've tried their oil, balm, butter and wash. All are great. So far I really like their Aphrodisiac scent. What drew me to GBS is their price and quality. I'm on a pretty tight budget and 4 ounces of quality oil for $25 is really great. Impressed by their quality ingredients -- all the good stuff and none of the bad. Another company with good quality products at a reasonable price is Oak City Beard Company.

My buddy got my a bottle of the caramel mocha grave before shave oil. I love it. The scent really does last for most of the day. Applies nice. I would definitely get it again and would love to try the balm one of these days.
@@DanCBearded it is one of my favourites! Even though I only have 4 oils! The smell is truly amazing. The way it sounds is that all the oils are a hit for the smell. My buddy actually has the cigar/vanilla that you reviewed so I have also tried it out. And I agree with everything you said about it.
I also have Gentlemens Blend at first I thought that it smells not really like bourbon much but after using it I really sort of fell in love with the scent. Still not much of a bourbon scent but real good and it performs.
For me its cinnamon and vanilla. I use the beard butter at night. To soften the beard its AMAZING. No hold but not needed at night. Gentlemen thru the day, finished with honest amish wax. Grtz from belgium
Great video Dan! I really like GBS' price point, and quality of their products seems on point with others. Their Headhunter oil/ balm is a daily for me, a clean tropical scent. My favorite Amazon company is Bossman though. Their jelly is a great product at an awesome price, great scents, and Stephen is a great dude!

Lol, sweet cinnamon with Vanilla... subtle cigar sent I'm use to (e.g. black and mild)... definitely no root beer lol. I think we can agree it's an awesome fragrance. The balm and oil worked so well I decided to order the full oil set and 2oz oil set (set of 9) with the 20% for Father's Day.
GBS Bay Rum was my first “real” beard oil purchased three years ago when I grew my first big beard. As I began growing my newest beard I decided to use GBS(and easily available others) as my night time beard oil(s). I save the good stuff for day time. Speaking of two day shipping- I ordered from Royal Beardsman a few days before Christmas and it was at my house within 48 hours. I was so impressed with them as a company. I do love the artwork, just not black shirts or hats... ha. I saw they had a few non-black tee options...
I bought GBS Bay Rum because I wanted that scent for travel. It stays with my travel gear so I use it a few times a year and can't really comment on it. From Amazon: GBS, Honest Amish, Zeus Boar Bristle Brush, etc. I use Fakespot to evaluate reviews, and then take them with a grain of salt as I read them anyway. I also order from Web sites. Between reviews and the site itself I think I get a reliable impression of the products. So far I've not been disappointed.

GBS makes a great product. The Gentlemen’s Blend was the first beard oil I ever purchased. The Bay Rum is a great summer time scent as well. I agree with you, I don’t get much if any tobacco from the Cigar Blend. To me it’s cinnamon vanilla all the way. I primarily wear it in the Fall for some reason. Great review as always!

Great video Dan C. The reason i started useing GRAVE BEFORE SHAVE. First was the name. They nailed the name if you are a bearded brother. Second is the art work and name of each oils are perfect for a beard brand. I’ve never actually purchased an oil or balm from Amazon, so I can’t say anything good or bad about any of them lol. I have heard good things about GBS, so another company to look into. As far as any other beard related purchases, I bought a wood comb and “boar’s hair” brush from there. It was relatively cheap. Got it in, ran the comb through, and it broke. The brush left much to be desired as well. Lesson learned-you get what you pay for.

I haven’t purchased anything from GBS as of yet but I’ve always been attracted to their artwork and YES they have some great looking hats that I’ll purchase in the near future.. So far I’ve had good experiences getting balms and oils from Amazon, my favorite so far has been a beard company based in Morocco; they have an organic Argan oil, Musk and Amber blend that’s just divine smelling. It perfectly captures the smells/scents of the Mediterranean and Northern Africa.

My wife loves the Gentleman Blend, it was one of my first purchases and still at the top for us. I appreciate your honest review, I know people tend to not review products that they don’t get for free or a kick back or code for, but at the same time, a lot of new comers aren’t willing to throw down $$$ for a beard they just started. I respect your channel more and hopefully you will gain a lot of viewers by putting your review out there and reaching a wider variety of bearded viewers. Thanks again!

For sure, and I appreciate that. I have been spending the last 6 months using GBS and wondering why I like it so much, yet there are no reviews on it from the top beard tubers. I am afraid I am damaging my beard somehow. I would love to throw all my starter oils in the trash and buy the great stuff you guys seem to love, but that wouldn’t be feasible. I recently picked up some Detroit Grooming beard butter because of your channel and added it to my nightly routine, and eventually as the starter oil starts to dwindle down I can feel better about buying higher quality products that I am sure my beard will love. I have used a few of their products before and loved them. I did reviews on the Cigar Blend balm and the Gentleman's Blend oil. I initially went with GBS basically due to their marketing, I was seeing their stuff everywhere, and their art work doesn't hurt. After using the oil, I was hooked and had to try something else. Hello Dan C! I don’t know if you’ll see this comment but I took the advice of a fellow UA-camr in this comment section and visited the Fistcuffs LLC building in San Bernardino where the Grave before Shave products are made. The staff was extremely kind, and they offer their products in-store for a much cheaper price than online. I bought their 4 oz beard butter and their 1 oz beard oil both in the vanilla cigar scent for 25 dollars flat with no tax included. I originally was just going to buy the butter at first for my nighttime beard routine, but the prices were so good that I couldn’t turn down buying the oil also. Great staff and great products with fantastic scents at a reasonable price, you can’t go wrong with this company! Thank you again for the great review and keep on putting out knowledgeable and awesome content!

I’ve got the GBS sample kit that comes with all their scents I believe. I know you’re a fan of citrus scents so definitely prioritize the outdoorsman and the tequila limon on the wish gift list. Bought it because I was both lacking in beard oil at the time and wanted to see what their whole profile was like before committing to one scent.

GBS also sells their oils in 4oz. bottles for only $26.99, and 4oz balms for $24.99. The 4oz oil is a great deal if you use it often. My first oil/balm combo was the Sandlewood scent by Rocky Mtn. Barber Company. Both of these scents remain high on my list, despite owning about 30 different combos now (thanks to you and your fellow UA-camrs).

GBS is my absolute favorite company! Was originally drawn to them due to it being a great priced Prime product and the presentation (best in the game in my opinion). Absolutely love the Gentleman’s Blend and Bay Rum scents.
What really keeps me coming back, which I was surprised you didn’t mention here, is they offer 4 OZ bottles/tins of oil/balm and they have amazing deals to mix and match scents (on Gravebeforeshave.com, which also has free shipping which is amazing). For me I go through oil way faster than balm, so it’s nice to be able to buy 4 OZ of oil and 2 of balm. But seriously, $27 bucks for 4 OZ of oil is unreal, especially considering I just ordered Huckstle for 25 bucks for 1 OZ.

Aphrodisiac, headhunter and gentlemens blend are at the top of my list of scents to try from them.
Also I found grave before shave from google when I first grew a beard a couple years ago..and too their bay rum scent is really good it seems to me that it’s a touch thicker than the other scents

Awesome video Dan. Teaching and Preaching!!! I used GBS about 3 years ago when I became serious about using actual beard products. I was drawn to them because a lot of the mainstream internet articles in like Men’s Health list them. Also we use Amazon for everything and you can’t beat GBS prices and more importantly their free 2 day shipping. Honestly that shipping is a GAMECHANGER. Another huge selling point is they are always in stock. I have noticed that since switching to more of a small batch approach it can take sometimes a week to week and a half before I get my orders. Not the end of the world...but I am aware of it. Hmmm maybe I need to give these guys a bit of a try again. Keep up the great work, cheers buddy!
Absolutely great and valid points brotha! I am having a video come out in the new few weeks going over the pros and cons of small batch companies and larger commercial companies. There are points on each side for both
Gary Lewis yeah man for sure. I think there are very unique and awesome benefits of small batch companies. And I totally appreciate the hustle that you guys put in everyday. With that said though just like anything in life there are pros and cons just as there are with larger companies. I think the key is moderation and to have a good blend of both.
I am considering trying beard balm for the first time, but I just have a few questions I want your opinion about: when I style my head hair with styling product I wash my hair every 3rd day, but not every day, if I start using balm (a styling product for beards) would you recommend me washing my beard every 3rd day, but not every day or can I just stick to my once a week washing my beard like I am currently doing?
Grave before shave beard butter is amazing, if you can only buy one beard butter for the rest of your life grave before shave beard butter would be the one, in my opinion.
Not a fan of cigar sent from beard companies in my opinion, but the other sents are amazing from grave befor shaves line of products.
I highly highly recommend washing daily, no matter the products you use.

@@DanCBearded thanks for the advice.😃 I just ordered a few days ago grave before shave beard wash 🤞🏻 it’s better than ever man jack beard wash, if grave before shave beard wash works better for me and I can use it more often when washing my beard then I might start washing my beard more often, not every day, but more often( more than just once a week, I am currently washing once a week , not by choice, but only because if I use every man jack beard wash more then once in a week my skin under my beard feels super dry.).

Great video dan. I've never tried grave before shave. I've thought about it but really wasn't sure if it was worth it. I didn't want to fall for the cool name and artwork. I might take into consideration what you've told us and maybe try some. As for amozon, my wife bought me my first beard oil and balm with a comb. She got me the same QQ WOW set that you have reviewed in the past. To be honest i loved the smell and the feel in beard wasn't bad at all.

I've not tried Grave Before Shave. Nor have I ordered anything off of Amazon. I started with Honest Amish from Wal-Mart and then started ordering from the companies directly.

I love the consistency and hold of GBS balms. That being said, I did have a problem with a tin of Cigar Blend that I bought recently. The balm didn't fully break down on my fingertips, leaving little pellets of hardened balm. I was told this can happen due to temperature changes when it's stored or shipped. Anyway, I just melt the balm with a hair dryer and let it solidify again before applying and it seems to work. I like their products so much that I'll give them another shot.
Absolutely, we call that "grit". More aesthetic than anything, but certainly can be annoying
GBS was one of my first oils and balms back in 2013,, Since then its been on my rotation !! I've tried every scent they have w/ the exclusion of their newest one which is called "Aphrodisiac Blend" which arrives on Wednesday. Every product they have is just solid zero issues and their customer service is on point !!

I have been using the vanilla cigar scent from GBS for almost a year and a half now after watching this review. I don't use balm so I got the oil and butter and I love the scent and both products. As a smoker of 40 + years now it's one of my favorites and I can definitely smell the cigar but not as strongly as the vanilla. Of course that may be the inherent tobacco scent from my own beard blending with the oil/butter. It's the only scent I've tried from the company that I can even use, have ordered several others after having such good results with this one but wound up giving them away to my sons and friends due to not liking the different scents. This one is definitely always in my rotation and immediately re-ordered when it even starts to look low.

My first Barber used Grave before Shave. The barber the I use now, uses Luxurious Bastard products, Beard Octane products, and Beard Brand (gold line ) products. Now, She didn't... But she is the best barber that I've seen. So I bought her what I use. And now she buys her own and I see her every 8 or 9 weeks. And believe it or not, its because of you. Thanks.
This was my first beard oil, balm and butter. I love the smell. I smoke a pipe. I love vanilla tobacco. I think this almost smells exactly like that, after i smoke the pipe. People who smell my beard tells me it smells like pumpkin spice almost. I don't really get that, but I've heard it a few times.

I have not tried any grave before shave products but have indeed heard of them. Now that I saw your review and I fully trust your opinions I would definitely be willing to try them, especially with the convenience of Amazon prime lol. Haven't tried much beard products off Amazon. The one I did that I was using for a while was the polished gentleman beard wash and conditioner which wasn't terrible, but after exploring the bearded community a little more I now use and like better the scotch Porter conditioner and artius man beard wash.

GBS (cigar blend) was my second ever balm and oil from them, I now have the Gentleman’s blend, and Bay Rum. The cigar blend is my favorite out of the 3. The price point is good and the scents are not overpowering. The Bay Rum is somewhat of a cologne which I’m not a huge fan of but it mellows out after a few hours. I like the convenience of amazon and you can’t beat the presentation! I also get a Dr. Pepper smell from the cigar blend. Great review as always!

GBS was my first real purchase of beard oil and balm mainly due to their intense advertising. They are everywhere when you search for anything beard related. The name and artwork just draw you in. Love the Cigar Blend but my and my wife's favorite is the Bay Rum. I definitely recommend getting that scent, it's refreshing, relaxing, and slightly complex. Only drawback for me was it did leave my beard feeling slighty dry by the end of the day. Great video again and you and Sam should include more thumbnail poses, hilarious.

I also don’t get much cigar scent from the oil, definitely a rich vanilla with a hint of something else that I still can’t figure out. But it still smells great! My personal favorite oil from GBS is the caramel coffee oil & balm. I’ve tried other products & some have come close but GBS is still the top brand I use for all my beard needs.

I am a big fan of GBS butter and I'm currently using their teakwood scent. I would have bought the cigar blend but they only had the one at the time. I was never interested in trying GBS, but when I saw they started making butters I had to try it. I do plan on getting a sample pack, because their scents do intrigue me. Also, my go to cheap Amazon product was Polished Gentleman. They always had coupon codes on Facebook and you could get their products for a couple bucks.

We always use the product in beard many times before filming, so we draw back on that. This is just like a refresher
I love this beard oil and balm. Interesting that it smells like root beer to you. To me, it has a very cola/Dr. Pepper kind of scent. I don’t get any of the tobacco scent from it - which isn’t a bad thing. I was very pleasantly surprised by the scent, and I wish they also made the scent in a hair pomade.

Great review! Like you I was pleasantly surprised by their cigar blend because I didn't get any cigar scent at all. I have tried three different oil/balm scents from them and they have all been winners in my book. So far their Bay Rum has been my favorite. I know a lot of Bay Rum scents are different and sometimes have a spice to them but not GBS. Their Bay Rum is a very tropical scent that I really love. Anyway I'm glad you liked them since I really love their products and I know lots of others have wanted you to review them. I'm sure Sam likes that Caramel Mocha a bit more ;) lol.

Being a new beardsman myself and not having any money to waste, it's nice to find some good quality products that wont break my damn bank.. thank again. I also purchased the Gentleman's Blend balm as I got the 2 balms for about $22 off Amazon. They both smell great, but I cant really comment on them any further. And the price is what drew me to try them.

GBS Bay Rum was the first beard balm I bought (about three and a half years ago). Very satisfied with it, great scent, good styling hold. Didn’t know about the Amazon connection so I’ll have to check that out. Good video, thanks!
Just ordered the beard wash, conditioner and the bay rum scented oil and bourbon scented butter. I'm waiting for them to arrive. I thought the artwork was pretty cool, if the scents are good I'll order from them again

Their teakwood scent is wonderful. I recommend giving that one a try, or the bay rum. The beard butters are great as well. Can't beat the price, plus the free shipping is the icing on top.
I know this was an old review and it's been a while using any of their products but just ordered the Butter. For me when I did use cigar blend to me smells just like egg nog. I guess it's the warm vanilla and cinnamon mix. This will be my first with the butter from them so excited to try.

They were one of my first beard products i bought a few years ago in a sampler pack. I really enjoy them! I currently have two of their scents (The Gentleman Blend and the aphrodisiac) Both smell great and would recommend to anyone! And the artwork like you said is great, looks awesome on my beard shelf!

I'm a big GBS fan. I've tried their oil, balm, butter and wash. All are great. So far I really like their Aphrodisiac scent. What drew me to GBS is their price and quality. I'm on a pretty tight budget and 4 ounces of quality oil for $25 is really great. Impressed by their quality ingredients -- all the good stuff and none of the bad. Another company with good quality products at a reasonable price is Oak City Beard Company.

My buddy got my a bottle of the caramel mocha grave before shave oil. I love it. The scent really does last for most of the day. Applies nice. I would definitely get it again and would love to try the balm one of these days.

@@DanCBearded it is one of my favourites! Even though I only have 4 oils! The smell is truly amazing. The way it sounds is that all the oils are a hit for the smell. My buddy actually has the cigar/vanilla that you reviewed so I have also tried it out. And I agree with everything you said about it.

I also have Gentlemens Blend at first I thought that it smells not really like bourbon much but after using it I really sort of fell in love with the scent. Still not much of a bourbon scent but real good and it performs.

For me its cinnamon and vanilla. I use the beard butter at night. To soften the beard its AMAZING. No hold but not needed at night. Gentlemen thru the day, finished with honest amish wax. Grtz from belgium

Great video Dan! I really like GBS' price point, and quality of their products seems on point with others. Their Headhunter oil/ balm is a daily for me, a clean tropical scent. My favorite Amazon company is Bossman though. Their jelly is a great product at an awesome price, great scents, and Stephen is a great dude!

Lol, sweet cinnamon with Vanilla... subtle cigar sent I'm use to (e.g. black and mild)... definitely no root beer lol. I think we can agree it's an awesome fragrance. The balm and oil worked so well I decided to order the full oil set and 2oz oil set (set of 9) with the 20% for Father's Day.

GBS Bay Rum was my first “real” beard oil purchased three years ago when I grew my first big beard. As I began growing my newest beard I decided to use GBS(and easily available others) as my night time beard oil(s).
I save the good stuff for day time. Speaking of two day shipping- I ordered from Royal Beardsman a few days before Christmas and it was at my house within 48 hours. I was so impressed with them as a company.
I do love the artwork, just not black shirts or hats... ha. I saw they had a few non-black tee options...

I bought GBS Bay Rum because I wanted that scent for travel. It stays with my travel gear so I use it a few times a year and can't really comment on it. From Amazon: GBS, Honest Amish, Zeus Boar Bristle Brush, etc. I use Fakespot to evaluate reviews, and then take them with a grain of salt as I read them anyway. I also order from Web sites. Between reviews and the site itself I think I get a reliable impression of the products. So far I've not been disappointed.
