I've operated the W300 series for snow removal with an16ft wide Arctic Sectional snow plow....What a machine reliable and power that never seem to stop comfortable to operate like sitting in my lazy boy. Hate to say it but it's power PUT THAT KITTY CAT TO SHAME. THE following year we had all CAT and it was just ok but could not push the amount of snow pile in the pusher box. Like the W300 I would have to break off the pile and just move half to it's location then come back to scoop up rest and push it to snow pile I love CAT but was totally amazed at the W300 and it capabilities and ease of use while we had these
Haven't used a Wa800 in about 10yrs...it was the dash 3 version. Had joy stick steering and also had a steering wheel as back up!! Joystick always had problems!! Now I use a cat 992.
The only auto feature I would use is the boom float (return to dig) The dash 2s didnt have it and the Engine Optimized versions did. Any boom up functions should be done manually. If you are boomig up and drive over spilled matl that you didnt see it can go bad...Our large loaders have the auto up feature but I never use it. The new cab is a welcomed addition. Always loved the way the Komatsus dig. They can fill the bucket without stuggling which is nice on the operator. All in all alot of nice usable features with the 800 and new 900 dash 8s. Its been along time for a real upgrade as the dash 2s and 3s and EOs were just touch ups on the original WA800. Nice video and review on them !
Always liked the Komatsu loader. Very operator friendly.
