I’m a high school teacher and I just had this conversation with two of my classes this morning, albeit a watered down version. Kids are in touch enough to feel the subliminal dread of these dystopian shifts, but not quite self-aware enough to fully grasp the machinations of the system and the part they play in it as consumers.
Also the sap decisions here are indefensible

I'm just mad because as someone who always plays against all packs for variety's sake, the Vampire Bat (and the many other broken "synergies" in the new pack) quite literally just ruin the game. And you can just forget about winning any rounds at low tier with the Barghest around.

Man I was playing sap on my phone today and using the weekly pack. Got a level 3 stoat on round 11 and sold it. My luck is so bad , it gave me a level 3 great one and it killed my whole team 🤣🤣🤣. I laughed for like 2 mins straight🤣🤣🤣🤣
Happened to me last night too lol. I used the food that upgrades a pet to next tier, got a tier 3 stoat, then got great one. I had 4 lives left and ran out the great one by himself 4 times haha. What a game.

I have never identified with NL as much as in this video. I've had so many arguments with people where I personally didn't see a benefit to me to using whatever the new hotness technology piece is and it was if I was trying to send us back to the Medieval Ages.
