As the mom to an 80 lb black lab, I am jealous of you tiny pup owners who can carry them inconspicuously in your bags. She always goes for car rides though. If she sees me leaving, even to take my son to school, she's out the door and in the backseat before we even get close.
Im glad hes taking Monty out cause crates are really cruel and unecessary, (no-one used these torture devices until they were popularised by that shadey Cesar Milan in the '90s). If you have a regular feeding routine you would know when your dog goes potty and work around it. My dog always pees first thing in the morning and then poops after breakfast. The rest of the day I know I only need to take him out to pee/walk before I go out and hes good for the next couple hours. If youve ever experienced not being free to pee, its HELL. When I was a kid i was too scared to go to toilet in the middle of the night and literally grabbed my crotch, rocking in pain crying for about a couple hours, before I couldnt take it anymore and finally ran to the bathroom. I always worry about dogs that dont have their own doggy-door or access to the outdoors to go pee cause I know they suffer SO much just waiting. waiting.waiting. for someone to get off their arse to take them to toilet. Imagine *NEVER BEING ABLE TO CHOOSE WHEN YOU WANT TO TOILET* **EVER** and be more considerate of our loving dog friends.
It’s also good to leave them home alone occasionally. You want your dog to be independent. A dog with separation anxiety is definitely not what you want.

I was originally reluctant to live with my roommate because he had a dog, and I didn't feel like dealing with the added stresses. We ended up living together for two years, and I absolutely loved that dog.
I love how much Monty clearly loves you. Sitting on your lap like you're his pillow - it is such a precious moment. Also the downfall for anyone who got a puppy which turned into a big dog. Enjoy him being a puppy because you'll look back and kind of wish for those days again when he's an adult.

Right. I have Two Pom-Chi girls that are 5 yrs old. They are small dogs so I waited until they were 4 to get the Third girl. She was an underdeveloped bluenose pitbull. Which I only bought, to try and save her life, Because she was in bad shape with the family she was with. She had a bloated belly and was very lethargic. She had worms and was slowly dying. She's a beautiful 1 year old now. I miss her being small so much. She doesn't realize she's big now she still wants to lay in my lap and in my arms lol.

Homeboy has a winter coat, a sweater (which I'm about to buy him another one so when one's dirty he still has one to wear), a custom fleece scarf, a custom collar, a crate big enough for a Great Dane to stand up on all fours and not have to bend down for, an orthopedic memory foam bed with a faux sherpa covering, and hes about to get a winter hat, a rain hat, two sets of booties and some rex specs so he can see in the snow because ZEUS IS MY BABY NOODLE BOY AND AINT NO ONE FINNA TELL ME OTHERWISE!!!
I've been definitely afraid of dogs since I was about five. My sister,'s dog gave me no choice but to love her. She would slow roll me. She would slowly approach me and stop about a foot away from me with her head turned. That allowed me to pet her without her being too close and scaring me. I will fight anybody and everybody for that dog.
My mom doesn't babytalk to the dog, and it's hilarious. Sometimes when I'm on the phone with her, she'll suddenly go "hi, how was your walk?" in a normal voice, and I think it's to my dad who just came home, but nope. It's to the dog. "Was it cold outside? Here, let me get that for you." For some reason that seems a lot more weird than when people change their tone when speaking to dogs.
So true!!! My husband was so anti Pet- especially a dog. Then one Christmas he surprises us with a puppy. And they’re inseparable. They love each other to the moon and back!
I only knew one man that never warmed to the family dog,. He made it clear that he did not want one, but his wife thought what usually happens - this video being exhibit A - would happen. But it never did. The man eventually banishing the poor boy to the garage , and never participated in his care. A strange case indeed. He truly didn't like animals. The dog was very sweet too. Sad.
Hahah! The sweetest thing I've ever seen. They are not even my dogs, but I baked my friend's three dogs a six-layered meat jelly - egg yolk/cream cheese cake. Took me a whole day to make. And I slept so many nights on a 3 feet/90 cm sofa with the saluki and the two whippets happy as a bunny. They are like children, can't resist the urge to make them happy.
They are called Man's Best Friend for a reason. Dogs hit different and you can't explain until you have one. The pure joy they have for you when you come home is unmatched.
My Labrador picked me over food the other night- my husband had poured her food into her dish the moment I walked into the house; she paced for a moment and finally came to greet me and left the food untouched! So of course I went and scratched her back while she ate! ❤️
Im the same way with my grand fur baby! My daughter has this dog and I needed to watch her for a couple of days when she was out of town. I was dreading it! But let me tell you I woke up looking for her the first night after she left! They are full of love and its a good thing! I hate when ppl take their dog for a walk but won't let them explore, smell things, or mark territory. They constantly pull on the leash like they are irritated at their pet for being an animal. My mom just died and then my 16 yr old dog a week later. I have 2 dogs remaining that are wagging tails and ready to run and I'm still trying to get up off the floor. I don't want to walk patiently and happily outside. Tho i may be angered at the hole in me. our walks will be happy again just not yet. I routinely spend money on my 13yo doggo. She’s too good to not get every tasty treat or collar I see! I go all out for Christmas... for my two, AND the elderly neighbor’s little dog, who adores stuffies, and whom I routinely spend just as much on. Got her a monkey as big as herself right before quarantine... owner thought she stole it from me... no I saw it and immediately knew who would love it!

People bringing their dogs into stores is very inconsiderate of people with dog allergies or dog phobias. I get sick for 3 days if I get a whiff of the air coming from around a dog. I can't go into stores like Target at all because people do this. DO leave the dog at home!!! And I have had dogs - that's how I became so allergic. They did not go into stores with me. They stayed at home when I went shopping. I didn't even consider taking them shopping with me (!) I did take a dog into a shoe store once, but that was because I'd driven 5 hours or so to go there, and didn't have a place rented to stay overnight. And I asked them before bringing the dog in.
They become a piece of you. I am still mourning the loss of my girl Bailey. She has been gone for over 15 yrs and it still breaks my heart when I think of her and how much she still means to me.
Apology accepted! No one understands until you get a small little furry creature of your own. Then u actually BECOME all those you made fun of and ridiculed. Outfits, special toys, bows in the hair, special lights on the harness (4 night time saftey), special treats, special food, special holiday gifts and birthday celebrations, sleeping in the bed, sleeping on the couch, sleeping in your favorite spot so YOU have to move so as not to disturb them etc.... As a dog trainer, I'm constantly telling men to find their inner baby voice, because research (and experience) shows dogs really do react positively to it. Many men refuse and hate the idea of speaking in a higher pitched tone - probably not feeling secure enough in their masculinity. Safe to say this awesome, manlyl man NAILED the baby/dog voice! 👌🏻

I used to judge dog owners too until I lost my puppy a few years back for a few days and lemme tell you. I cried legit tears like real tears. We found her though. I get it now. 😂🥂

I hate when ppl take their dog for a walk but won't let them explore, smell things, or mark territory. They constantly pull on the leash like they are irritated at their pet for being an animal. Why do some ppl make walking their pet so unpleasant. It's not a walk it's a choke and drag-a-thon through the neighborhood. I hate when I see this.
@@purplepheasant4776 if it's repetitive hell yeah I hate it too. But I forgive my fellow dog walkers when i see the occasional leash yank as life presents you can have your frustrated bad days too. My mom just died and then my 16 yr old dog a week later. I have 2 dogs remaining that are wagging tails and ready to run and I'm still trying to get up off the floor. I don't want to walk patiently and happily outside. Tho i may be angered at the hole in me. our walks will be happy again just not yet. So please know you have no idea what is going on in a person's life.

I also had a Cocker Pooh named Nala she lived a very long time 19 years I had her. My sisters kids named her after the lion king . No I got a new dog her name is lady Jane another Cocker Pooh 🥰💖💖

Dogs don’t ask for cell phones, expensive shoes , and they aren’t fussy about what to eat. They are just happy that you are there.

My sentiments exactly. We got a Goldendoodle in February and she’s my riding partner everywhere I go. She’s gonna stay small, luckily (about 25 lbs.) So I don’t have to worry about her growing up

I routinely spend money on my 13yo doggo. She’s too good to not get every tasty treat or collar I see! I go all out for Christmas... for my two, AND the elderly neighbor’s little dog, who adores stuffies, and whom I routinely spend just as much on. Got her a monkey as big as herself right before quarantine... owner thought she stole it from me... no I saw it and immediately knew who would love it!
Birthday? I spend that in a week for my mom and brother’s dogs. My niece asked where are all the dogs. My sis in law told her your auntie is here you’ll be lucky to see them. 😁😊 Love these precious pooches!

People bringing their dogs into stores is very inconsiderate of people with dog allergies or dog phobias.
I get sick for 3 days if I get a whiff of the air coming from around a dog. I can't go into stores like Target at all because people do this.
DO leave the dog at home!!!
And I have had dogs - that's how I became so allergic.
They did not go into stores with me. They stayed at home when I went shopping. I didn't even consider taking them shopping with me (!)
I did take a dog into a shoe store once, but that was because I'd driven 5 hours or so to go there, and didn't have a place rented to stay overnight. And I asked them before bringing the dog in.

As a dog trainer, I'm constantly telling men to find their inner baby voice, because research (and experience) shows dogs really do react positively to it. Many men refuse and hate the idea of speaking in a higher pitched tone - probably not feeling secure enough in their masculinity. Safe to say this awesome, manlyl man NAILED the baby/dog voice! 👌🏻
