Has anyone in this comments section considered the spread of disease if these chickens were left to roam outside? And what would people say if their meat was medicated? And diseases are always changing, so breeding immunity into chickens will always be a long, arduous process. You can't expect perfection in what the general public considers to be "correct welfare."

The better job in the world and the most protected industrial production from outside dangerous factors (high biosecurity standards), that means 100% safe product for consuming. Also the environment inside with modern ventilation and cooling or heating systems make it ideal for broilers, from the first to last day. Most of the people outside from this industry thinking that chicken farms are like Hitler's concentration camps, based on rumors without any real facts or proves. Don't take as example the 5% of "bad" farmers, in all jobs or occupations there are exist good and bad workers or proffecionals. For the end a little message for dear consumers, choose wisely, because choice is your right and obligation to yourselves, nobody forces you to consume his products.
I really think people overlook the fact that these chickens are only alive for about 6 weeks and the first several weeks, they are teeny tiny babies with no immune system and no ability to regulate their own body temperature. Would you toss your newborn out in the yard?
In fairness there is sunlight, but it still looks like an incredibly boring monotonous and thus depressing existence. All animals, including ourselves, evolved within nature. This is beyond unnatural. Sadly, as he said, this is tier 3 - in other words, there are two tiers below it, with lower quality welfare. I applaud that they do care and they are at tier 3, it’s just still enough to make me avoid buying the chicken.
Those houses I can't stand, but it's because 95% of those are hotter then Satan's nutsack my goodness they stink horribly in the summer months too. But it is the easiest way to do large scale. I get it. I do free range but a ton less than that scale. I also don't do leghorns. I'm more the meat egg combo. I don't much like the giant breeds . For some pretty birds though.rohde island reds. I'm thinking of doing a different one next.
Those are a Cobb breed most likely since they're broilers...mine are Cobb 500 or Cobb 700...I prefer 700 but u really don't know what ur getting till they get older and see how they act, unless ur told

LET CHICKENS BE CHICKENS! Would you want to spend your entire life in a building without sunlight and no grass? OF COURSE NOT! Contrary to popular belief, chickens are very intelligent creatures. You are not letting chickens display natural behaviors. Chickens should have access to pasture, and grass. Chickens like to hunt for snakes and mice they are omnivores. Chickens should have sunlight and fresh air. LET CHICKENS BE CHICKENS. They can't forage for food, they can't peck at grass they can't see sunlight. This is just wrong.

Neat piece of propaganda! Now show us something real...how about a video of those school kid's faces when they first step into a chicken house and smell the putrid stench of the "wonderful" environment you've made? I'm betting that doesn't quite fit into your BS sales pitch.
Lol. Yeah I have grown up in rural India. You will be surprised how much kids do in rural farms. Not every child is squeamish around farm animals and their waste.

I consider the spread of disease when out among stinking humans.
Better to have another line of feeders and drinkers in the middle of the shed . It would help to get better result .
Actually that is not true and has been proven through test.

There are farms with outside chickens that people eat. It hasn’t led to an avian flu outbreak. It’s nothing new, just sadly uncommon.
