- People are always asking me what I do to keep my skin looking so young. I do use various lotions and potions, and am careful with my skin (some may say neurotic 😬😬😜). But the single most important thing I do is wear a hat when I know I'll be exposed to the sun for an extended period of time. And why not? Hats are chic, protective, and save you on a bad hair day!! 💋❤️

As a woman in my 50s I second your advice about covering up the hair by wearing hats on high sun days. I used to wear sunscreen religiously and that has paid off a lot, but I don’t trust the chemicals in any sunscreen anymore so now I just wear a lot of white Roby drapey clingy coverings and it’s delightful. I live at the beach and you can’t go wrong wearing white linen and white T-shirts with a good floppy sun hat, as long as it stays on your head at the beach because there will be wind :-)

I'm taking this advice to heart. I've always loved hats, in fact I made fascinators for a long time and considered training as a milliner.
But my crippling insecurities have stopped me wearing the hats I love so much. But seen through the lens of skincare, I think I'm just gonna put my big girl hat on and rock it! ❤️
The tip to add pearls, beads, etc to your hate was terrific. Also, in a previous video you added a large green grosgrain ribbon to a green straw bag/purse. So cute and definitely made a huge difference.

Have a funny story…. I wore a hat on Easter Sunday to church. Only one in congregation with one on. The pastor made mention of it and how he missed the days when ladies wore hats to church. The following Sunday, entire front row of choir had hats on!!😂😂
Yup, l wear a hat even to take out the trash and thick sunscreen every day. When l was young, it was because l had freckles, and l despised them . Now, l am grateful l did that even when it wasn't fashionable.
