Hi, thank you for your explanation that's very clean and precise, I just wanna ask do you have any suggestion how if we want to adjust the abc xyz analysis result to this safety stock, rop, eoq format?
Very good explanation, I am studying these topics. Could you please share this file so that I can get to make more clarity. Thank you for such a nice explanatory video.
Hi good video, please elaborate how you are using the Z score, it was not very clear in you video why you are using 92% from some items and why 95% for other items. Also what is the explanation of why you are using the normal distribution table to arrive at the service level factor
Z score is a standard table which you can find on Google by searching "Normal distribution Z table". Now why we took different service level is depending on us only. If your product has good and stable demand pattern then take more service level, If there is significant variation but products need to be stocked then take lower service levels. Service Level is the probability of fulfilling customer orders with service level percentage. Why we use normal distribution table - Because that is standard formula across globe for safety stock and this is giving us how much probability of customer order we are expecting to fulfill. Obviously everyone wants 100% but with that service level higher stocks will be carried and cash will be blocked.
Thank you for providing access and sending, I have asked for access as the file does not provide any editing of the data. One question I have if our company does not use EOQ and suppliers have MOQ how do you factor that into your ordering? I would think you order at the MOQ to bring you back in to your Min/Max range.
This is very helpful. Thank you so much
