    Surface coming to aid uncustomizable Logic “plug-in tiles”, thank you Leo, you are an unstoppable force! 🤩

    Really helpful demo. I use Surface Builder quite a bit, and this is a great way to use it in Logic Pro.

    Thank you for the video! Can you assign the knobs to an external controller?

      @soundformore  Рік тому +2

      Yes as long as the app has midi learn like in this case

      Actually that’s the only time it would make sense to me. Otherwise why not just use the knobs on the app’s UI?
      So, could you please make a tutorial on how to set up an external MIDI controller as a tactile MIDI surface controller?

    Can effect (not instrument) parameters or mixer faders/aux sends be mapped to midi Cc also?

    • @soundformore
      @soundformore  Рік тому +1

      It depends on effect auv3 supporting midi learn, in terms of internal effects or mixer faders inside LogicPro then not yet… I am assuming you are referring to controlling them using an external controller, right?

      @@soundformore yep logic effects or aux sends with external controllers - thought so, thanks! hope it comes soon

      Yes that is an area they need to improve particularly if they want users to use for example launchpads or similar controllers…

    Is there any way to have a MIDI controller, virtual or external, trigger transport controls for record / stop / record cell? I can't find this in the iPad version. Trying to use a pedal or pads to trigger recording loops.

      Not in the previous version, but they just landed an update so I will check again…

    Thanks for the content. Just bought an MPK mini, does Logic Pro for iPad have midi learn integrated? I will love and app where my controller knobs work right out of the box with every sound (basics, like volume, transpose, cutoff, resonance, etc). Thank you so much

      You need to do some work with it, check this tutorial: Apple Logic Pro for iPad - Tutorial 33: External Instrument Midi Learn, Internal Plug-in Parameters

      @@soundformore Thank you. Just saw it! Will give it a try. I really want something more plug & play, where all the knobs work, and the pads are already assigned to a drum kit, and just navigate thru differents patches, and they all work... am I dreaming right? Subscribed to your channel!

      Thank you, the traditional midi learn functionality is not yet available in Logic Pro for iPad. Hopefully they will bring that out soon alongside some of the pre-mapped controller as templates… in the meantime there are some workarounds…
