- IT’S CHRISTMAS!!! 🎄 Join the Buckleys as they decorate their home for Christmas, which of course results in songs, laughter, arguments and for the forst time an actual tantrum! :)

James & Claire, you need to soak your ham in a bowl full of cold water over night or for about 12 hours (if possible change the water for clean water after a few hours) , to draw out the salt. That's why the one you boiled was less salty because when you boiled your ham it took a lot of the salt out of it. Merry Christmas to you all ⛄

Hey James, advice from a butcher, you won't get crispy skin on a gammon due to the salt and once you take off the string the muscles will move, just tie some butcher string around it before you cook it and it will hold its shape. Love the idea of using the MRC sticky maple rub, we use a lot of it during the summer on ribs, pork steaks, sausages etc, it's a banging rub.
