I got the lite 2 about a year ago. It was my first bidirectional scanner. I usually work on my own cars and help friends and family. It really made a difference in diagnosing. But now a lite 3. I can’t afford it. But I want it. 😂

Hello, if you want to connect the Lite3 tablet and its MDCI with a hard line, you can connect them using a USB cable, then enter the device settings to switch to HOST mode, and the device will adopt a wired connection.

1. Lite 3 has 8-inch screen, Elite has 10-inch screen;
2. Lite 3 supports 35 service functions, Elite supports 41;
3. Lite3/Elite supports BMW/VW/Audi/Skoda/Seat/Porsche online ECU coding, Elite also supports Benz to do SCN coding.
4. Lite 3 doesn't support online ECU programming, Elite supports it.

Can this tool work on trucks as well?

The working voltage of the Phoenix Lite3 VCI is 9~18V, so it doesn't support diagnosing 24V trucks. However, it does support some 12V light trucks such as VW CV and Sprinter. If you need a scanner for 24V heavy-duty vehicles, the Phoenix Smart and Max models can meet your needs.
