Thank you so much for this video! I’m not facilitating a bible study, but a discussion in my philosophy class, and even though this wasn’t directed towards me I still learnt lots! I was very unsure what I was supposed to do, I had never facilitated a discussion before, I wasn’t even sure what it meant! So learning that I’m a hostess, rather than a teacher took lots of stress off of me, because I was so worried about gathering all the right information, and presenting it in the « correct » way, rather than helping everyone share their ideas on the topic, and learning together. Thank you for this!
Thank you so much ma’am im going to facilitate tomorrow to youth our topic is Mathew 24 pls pray for me Jul 17 2021. In Jesus ( Yashuah Ma’Hamasiach ) name i Pray Amen

This video was the most helpful, thank you. :)
Awesome video God bless you
I just feel controlled in my discussion group. I feel frustrated because any solution to the problem that it all is about the facilitator winning with his one, the only solution is the one that the facilitator has decided. We are asked our opinion but it doesn't feel that we are listened to but have it shot down. I feel like I am having to pretend to just 'go along with it' in the group.

I have always had a co-facilitator to observe the facilitator at each session. At the end of each session the facilitators and co-facilitators meets with the group leader and discuss problems and ways to resolve them. We also try to rotate facilitators within a group so each has opportunity to build their own capabilities and talents of being a facilitator. This method tends to quickly resolve problems within groups.
