Did not mean to pad the stats lol. I just wasn't sure. Here are my updated stats for the game and season:
Game Stats:
Shots: 32
Goals: 4
SV%: 0.875
Season Stats:
GAA: 0.925
SV%: 0.924
Shutouts: 1
And for the fun of it...
Total Season Goals Against: 10
Average Shots Against Per Game: 26.40
26+ shots per game when your team struggles to put up 15 is concerning. Hope they help you out, Sam!
One shot, not two ;)
I don't think you needed that extra save count. You had enough haha, great game!
Hi Sam. French 30 yo goalie here. Just wanted to say that I've been binging your YT channel these past couple weeks. I've been playing street hockey with my big brother from my 7 to 15, then joined a small in line hockey club from 15 to 17 and then never played again until now. I joined an ice hockey club 3 weeks ago, got the opportunity to be the full time goalie of the team, but switching from in line to ice hockey is incredibly hard haha.
Anyway, all that to say that your goalie cam videos, your training videos, and your attitude on the ice and during the game help me a lot. I try to analyze your positioning and I find your replays with the explanations of what you should/shouldn't have done to make the save very helpful.
So a big big thank you for your content, you have no idea how many people you help by doing these videos. Currently leaving home to go practice but I thought you deserved some gratitude haha. Time to make some saves !
Good advice to slide towards the post instead of the player, I am definitely guilty of doing the latter. Great game btw!
Only one shot on net … hey it’s been a year or so since I’ve checked your vids and I’ve noticed a lot of improvement… thanks for your vids. I do learn a lot from them
I believe it is just one shot. That save is a continuation of the first save you made. Shot has to come off of an opponents stick, I think.
That puck really liked to bounce. Wow!
After years of playing baseball my glove has a mind of its own it is vicious.
Your team is allergic to helping you, lol
Perhaps haha
Definitely one shot, but 2 great saves regardless. After it leaves the player's stick, it'll be a single shot, regardless of the fate. I stopped a point shot that came out off the pad, hit the defenseman and came back at me, luckily able to kick that one out as well. Keep up the great saves buddy!
Two shots. Any time the goalie does anything where if he was not there the puck would go in, it's a shot. Most pro leagues now count shots at the net and scoring chances, regardless of if there is a shot on net.
My team played you yesterday (Pirate Kings). Can't wait to see the highlight package ;)
Love the video
thanks you are an life saver
Hey Sam just wondering, can you juggle or nah?
No I cannot. Maybe I should learn how.
@@ThePuckStopsHere I don't know how to do it either. Can't throw well with my left though. Thanks for the reply
Do you practice ZEN meditation as part of your pre-game mental preparation?
Not going to disagree with your assessment on the backdoor goals, but an aggressive stick can stop the guy backdoor from ever getting it. Sure they may not count it as a shot but hey, Its better than a GA right?
100%. I do not care about stats if it means I prevent one less goal from going in.
Hi bro im back again
Do you have a mic set up on you? Or just use go pro on helmet for audio
One shot. if it went in, the player who shot the puck initially would have been awarded the goal. In a sense, your " second save" on the play is really just you completing the save. Kinda like when the puck touches your glove as it goes in. Same ruling applies.
Unfortunately it's only one shot, but two saves. ;-)
Why do you only play 2 periods?
Hands in front :)
Nice!
2 saves
If your looking for a new glove warrior is the way to go
Hi
Hi!
@@ThePuckStopsHere when are you doing the draw
@@22in22 Last video of this month. :)
How would that be a second shot, I just can't see it, the player shot the puck at you once, you just cleared a rebound, this way you could manipulate your stats if it would be two shots...just pop it up and clear it as often as you can and get more saves and better % lol
And who would get the second shot in their stats? The player? Like he shot at you once but in his stats it would be that he shot twice? Nonsense...
I have no idea how you even came up with that 😁
I have no idea haha. That is why I was asking. I updated my stats in the pinned comment and added a few that I never include. :)
@@ThePuckStopsHere allright cool 😉 looking forward for the next video!
No its not 2 shots
No, that only counts as 1 shot.
2 shots on net
