Thanks for the video and memories. Started traveling to St Maarten in '73 as child; the island was very different back in the 70s and 80s. Filled me with nostalgia.

Wow that is some old school stuff.. First shot is of the Old Square in phillibsburg.. Infront of the AC Whatey Warf(?) if i recall..the next shot is the beach line of Phillipsburg/Great Bay beach line... then you have a shot of the Courthouse.. which still looks very similar to that.. Nice vid
hey, thanks for the comment, thats a nice way of putting it... im sure things have probably changed dramatically since this film was shot.. still, its for historic purposes, its valuable i guess.. old school is cool .. ( you should also check out the footage from Guadeloupe i posted from this same reel... )

Beautiful. Seafood and provisions kept everyone slim and trim. No fast food like KFC and McDonald those days.
