My friend taught me to hand launch left hand - That way you can keep your right hand on the control sticks - the only downside - you have to use your mouth to throttle up, but I have never had a failed hand launch since I switched over. Been ten years now. Great vid!
Your camera quality looks really nice 😊 always a good looking video and pleasing to watch 👍 my delta ray one is on the way I have the sport cub s and the carbon cub s, so this should make the full set.lol😊🤩
great review. The thing to remember with pusher prop planes (as well as EDFs) is that on launch there is no air from the prop going over the surfaces to create lift and directional control, that's why you hit the ground a few times. Try to get more speed at launch by throwing harder or try a different technique or angle. You only have the wind (no prop wash) so try to find a bit to launch into. Launching overhand from the center of the plane works great but I can never follow through and chop my hand up...bad. Even when I try with power off I sometimes hit the throttle in my excitement. I think you're on the right track....and Elevons don't require any learning curve.
Ok just found this channel, was think of buying this plane on Amazon and wanted to see a good review. But I never thought I would see a great review video with a super gorgeous woman who's into RC planes!? I'm definitely subscribing now! It just seems like these sort of videos are usually men, and in my experience most women arent really intrested in my sort of hobbies, but you've totally changed my opinion for sure! And not just pretty but just absolutley gorgeous! Thx for brightening up my morning and I'm definitely buying one thanks to this video!
Says "Age Recommendation: Not for children under 14 years. This is not a toy." haha But my opinion is that a 12 y/o would do just find with some instruction/guidance
I hate hand launching... One of the best things about the wings I have flown that are EDF is that they can basically take off on the ground. Even my twin EDF A10 Warthog can belly take off just from the force of the motors. I have had around twelve or so EDF jets over the years and I love them to death. My favorite has to be the F18, the one I still have is beat up but I must have 100 flights on that thing.I primarily fly race quad copters with FPV, but I still have a love for traditional rc flight. Cheers to you and have fun
Just picked one of these up. You're right, binding to a DX6 was easy enough and the DR is tons of fun for what it is. I have the SAFE set up on a 2 channel switch (A) and use it for launching and landings. In between... Yee Haw! Your journey into rc flight is like my recent discovery of how fun rc ground vehicles are, particularly crawlers! Great vid. Keep em' coming.
Hey, Nice reviews! I'm excited for to inspire more girls/ ladies to get into the sport. Can't wait to see you progress as I have the past 2 years. Love the hobby
That looks really cool I have the twin engine delta Ray and it's also a lot of fun to fly with different flight modes and a panic button also great video.
Nice wing. I wonder if you can bind it to a dx-6? Love the grape juice, heh-heh,,,Folding prop for a belly lander, pretty clever! Keep on flying and doing cool videos.
Looks like a perfect starter for air R/C...I found a few places up here to fly and a couple clubs too so maybe my son and I can get out pilots wings!!! Thanks for the great video
Oooooo Haley goes for a wing! My kind of plane... My middle son was over at my place in August and he said, "Why do you have so many of the same type of plane (meaning wings)?". He flies multi-rotors so he should talk. Anyways I told him they all were different and the one he was holding was a twin engine. He said, "So???": LOL! I don't think he gets it. ;) Nice job as usual. Your vids are fun. Nice to see someone enthusiastic. :) Oh BTW, your pile of foam is growing. LOL
Wings and Deltas Mode 2 Tx. Hold left wing in left hand like a frisbee, set throttle, (use mouth if not wearing neck strap) right hand on elevator and launch across body like a frisbee but without the wrist flick.
WOW, I COULDNT STOP WATCHING , YOUR SOOO ADORABLE, BUT IM REALLY DIGGING HOW MUCH WORK AND KNOWLEDGE THAT YOU PUT INTO THIS. YOU ARE DOING A GREAT JOB .....
@@RCGirl I understand it happens quick I've been flying for 1 year and I need a enclosed trailer and bigger garage but it's a awesome hobby with nice folks
@@RCGirl If you mix rudder with Aileron, when you use the rudder stick the plane will bank. Your brain will think you have a rudder. If you fly helis and quads which require lots of rudder you will feel more comfortable when flying a wing.
Oh wow! Nice flying especially with something new like this and for the first time to boot. I have two wings I have not tried yet and your demonstration helps a lot to see what is ahead for me. You also make it fun to watch and very informative. Good job. Happy Flying.
GrampaKenCanada yep definitely throttle up on take off (basically max for this plane) for sure!! Then you can pull back once it's up to speed. Good luck! 👍
Awesome job, great flight. Your skills are improving in every video, pretty soon you will be ready for a edf jet. I recommend a UMX A -10 there awesome. Or even a 64 mm edf jet, easy to fly and so much fun
I have been a Horizon Hobby , Purchaser for many Years/Decades. Legend Member. She would make a Great Spokes Person , for our Hobby. You Go Girl ! You get my Vote. Love to fly.... Capt Morgan , 450 Aircraft R/C.
fantastic to see females actually having fun with RC planes. I'm an RC plane, helicopter, drone pilot. would love to see more females doing the wonderful hobby as you are.
Great review.....I see a glass of wine...hahah, Laughed My ass off at 3:13 Totally random but genius comedy!! So entertaining and .......Fantastic!! Thank you!
It doesn't require my complete attention anymore so now I can narrate a bit more. I used to not be able to fly if there were any loud noises and I couldn't hear the plane haha!
Definitely more durable than the DR :-) I've been looking for a small park flier like this but hadn't found one I liked. I like my DR's but they need space. All the small planes I've looked at were either brushed motor or 110 mph planes. Looking forward to this!
Why aren't you my neighbor? I actually just ordered the Delta Ray not realizing that the GPS function was not included. So I went and ordered that as well. My intention is to teach neighbor kids how to fly and with the GPS function it make life easy for me and my students. I also like the idea of come back home feature because I will modify it for FPV and if you lose signal bad things can happen. Looking forward to getting it. It is a little pricy though.
Holy Schmoly!!! Next you'll be ready to build and fly a Sig Wonder with an OS .25 in the nose.... LOL, just kidding. Great vids - both car and airplane. Happy to see you getting into flight, that is where I started. And yes, I also made use of the original RealFlight to help me learn to fly - back in the early 2000's.
It's too bad You weren't around for F-27C Strykers. Sure, You could probably still find one here and there but. They are awesome. I still have two. They started with brushed motors then evolved to brushless ! They scream hehehe. great video !
this video is very funny, diggin this unboxing review. It seems nose heavy. Did you get the GPS installed? Some day Haley, EDFs, try the Stinger 64mm 4S version.
The plane looks nice still as trainer for beginners, i dont know. It looks very fast and seems not as stable in flight as other AS3X planes, especially when we compare it to it`s bigger brother the old Delta Ray which is rock solid in the air and can fly so slow that you expect the whole flight that it drops out of the air at any moment, but it dosn´t. It is pretty light and that it a big advantage so it probably can take a hit or two whithout any real damage, and of course AS3X and Safe will help too. Maybe more videos will show us a little bit more about its full flight envelope. But from what i have seen so far i would say it is ok as a fun flyer for more experienced pilots, but i dont see this as a good "beginner" plane.
I've been flying for about 3-4 months and I was able to fly this just fine as a beginner, but it's definitely different. It's faster than the sport cub and apprentice for sure, so you have to have quicker reflexes. I'd say it's a great first wing if you're looking to try one. It also doesn't teach rudder control at all, so I would also get a trainer that has 4 channels if you're looking to continue flying.
Hi, nice video ! you had inspired my wife to take up this hobby as well :) I'm a new pilot too, just to check, in the video, when you flew in imtermidate mode, you have any "Expo" ? DRates is 100% or 70%, coz I find that I always have the "over-correcting'/ over input the control stick issue.. ha, still learning to be gentle.. thanks and enjoy your video very much !
Great video and excellent first flight with it, i still struggle with hand launches, ( lots of unique language when i am flying my hand launch planes) I am looking forward to watching to video with the GPS installed
as an actual pilot and a r/c flyer if your new to the sport, take something dead easy to fly that cant go over 20 mph. J3 piper cub is one of the best trainers in the world.
Nice but you're actually making it harder on yourself launching it that way, you want to cross it over like a frisbee. Also Expo is your friend lol. Just giving you a hard time, but being serious about the tip, :) Awesome Maiden though! Delta's are forgiving because of all the wing area so they tend to slow down very well without tip stalling. On to the bipe next? Lol
maybe a slow spin /toss.. keeps angle correct and stops human error of the best position.. ukr? wow.. great job - you fly well ! tite area.. I would be in the tree!
Did you ever get and install the GPS Module made for the Delta Ray One? If so, was it worth it. All my drones have GPS so they can "Return to Home". But with the Delta Ray One, I don't ever see it getting so far away from me where I can't see it. Tonight I ordered a Delta Ray One from Horizontal Hobby, but didn't get the GPS module. Your thoughts?

huh, nvmd - saw you left hand it in the middle of the vid, lols
There is nothing wrong being a brand ambassador, as long as you give honest reviews with no bias.
Nothing wrong with flying in circles, as long as your in the air!

Yep, throw with your right hand as you can get a better toss and always hand launch in safe mode when you have the option!

Very nice maiden and maneuvers/landing, well done 👍

Cool plane. And great video.your getting better and better at flying, And fast too. Happy flying

Enjoying the plane progression your choosing. Flaps and floats must be next. (aka Timber must be soon). BTW...love the "Weeeeeeeeee!!!!!" So cute.
YEP!! I'm nervous about floats, but really want to try... could make for an entertaining video, hopefully not requiring a swim.

You have some brown on your nose. Might want to wipe it off before you get pink eye.
Nice, looks like a fun little wing.
That looks really fun I might just take up flying! But I still think my boats will be my first love..😎😘
My 1st rc plane ,HZ Champ...Delta Ray 1, next buy .
Awesome little trainer🖐️🤣👍 Thanks 😘 for sharing!!

Coolest Trainer Ever? I have to laugh on that one. My first flight in the B-2 Simulator did not feel like the trainer I first flew. Nice park flyer.
