I was a teenager when the first album came out, thought it was great, but I was really blown away by Double Vision, after that it kind of goes in order for me. Great video as always.
Thank you, Brendon. This is my favorite album of all-time. You were spot on with almost all of them. I would take Inside and Agent over Double Vision and Head Games. I agree with everything else you said about Unusual Heat and Can’t Slow Down. They waisted 15 years not giving Kelly his own legacy. Never understand that. Foreigner 4 and Survivor’s Vital Signs are my two favorite albums of all-time. Survivor my all-time favorite band. Maybe you can do their catalog at some point. Great job.
Very interesting. Mr Moonlight actually my favourite album. Hand on my heart, All I need to know, Running the risk, Rain and White lie are easily 5 of their best songs in entire catalogue, imo. Can’t deny the fillers on the album, but easily countered by their best songs, imo, of course. Funnily enough, I’d have ‘Unusual Heat’ at number two. 😬 Released in my favourite few years of music and a very solid album. Anyway, interesting summary, though my list would look pretty different. 😁
I often wonder what Foreigner could have done if Lou stayed with them forever (and that’s partially why the Rock Hall had kept them out) but this list reminds us just how much classic music came from this band. Thx Brendon
4 was the first Foreigner record I owned. I then went back and bought the first three. It was my introduction to Foreigner. You and I have the exact same ranking.
Awesome video Brendon! I know you’re more of a cd guy, but have you checked out the Foreigner records on the new Atlantic 75 Series from Acoustic Sounds? They are AMAZING, especially the self titled. Really dig your content man!
Great take on this ranking, I will not disagree because each and every one of us have a opinion and that is golden! I think you should've released this video the week of October 19th when Foreigner would be in the news. Keep up your awesome work!
I didn't follow Foreigner into the 90s, but here is my ranking of the albums I know and have: Agent Provocateur Inside Information Head Games Foreigner 4 Double Vision It was hard to put 4 at number 2 as that was the album that got me into the band, but Double Vision is a tad more consistent and has some truly exceptional tracks.

Although I'll always be partial to the Lou Gramm era, Kelly Hansen does a great job! Saw him live with the band and he really is awesome live. My fave 3 releases are Foreigner, 4 and my number 1, Double Vision.
4 is their sole perfect album to me...Double Vision is one I need to revisit.I liked the 3 singles but forgot the rest.Which deep cuts from that or other albums are hidden gems ??
As with most music older than 1993, Foreigner is a band I still need to listen more to. I'd say that Double Vision is the album I like the most, so far. A song I really love is When The Night Comes Down, from Unusual Heat.
I've followed Foreigner since the beginning, saw them in concert around 1979 at The Spectrum in Philly and have always loved Lou Gramm's voice. A great fit for the band. I have never really liked their 2nd album 'Double Vision' as much as a lot of people do. For me, it was just a let down after their debut album which was stellar. For me, I have always loved 'Mr.Moonlight' and still do to this day. For me, it would be higher in the ranking and not dead last. I love 'Big Dog'. It was their only instrumental over their career and a nice change of pace regardless if it didn't quite fit into the overall album flow. But their 1st album, yes, still their best.
I'm gonna relisten to Double Vision since everyone seems to praise it.I must've missed something back then because I never even purchased it based on disappointment when I heard relatives/friends playing it.
@@ericrobertson2024 I don't think you missed anything. It was their sophomore album and that's the album that's always a challenge for bands to nail, this one included. For me it always seemed a little stiff and uninspiring compared to their first and that's all I could compare it to back when it was released. Just my opinion and preference.
@@gkirms I never actually purchased a Foreigner album..I got Hot Blooded and 4 via Columbia House and someone gave me the debut..Double Vision just didn't grab my interest back then but I will relisten.I liked 1/2 of Agent.

I agree with this ranking. I saw them on the 4 Tour. Madison Square Garden. I remember My friend and I scalped tickets outside 2 tickets $20.00 each. We were 5th Row center. Never see those days again.
$20 would have been probably 4 times the ticket price back then? The reason I say this is in 1990/1991 tickets typically cost $18-$20. I saw GNR in 1991 at the peak and pause $21. So paying $20 in 1981 seems like it would have been equivalent to paying about $80 in 1990/91 which means in today’s value it would be about $250. IDK…sounds like times haven’t changed. It’s just now scalping is legal haha 😂😂😂😂

Mr Moonlight ahead of the first 4 classic albums? What? Lol. I wouldn’t even rank it ahead of any album but each to their own.
