    I like such small sized motherboards.
    In the old days i had several PCI slots filled with cards, but that is no longer the case (for many years). I just need one slot for the videocard.
    But what about a casing, when i want an AIO cooler? Atm i am using a 360 size, which i'm very pleased with.
    And do people use so many USB ports? There are so many USB ports on many motherboards.
    I'd rather see an expansion connector to add more SSDs, but i guess that is what iTX is all about.. keep it small.

    I was going to get this until I realised how tall it was which was not good for my In Win case for the 8700G system. I ended up getting the ROG Strix B650E-I Gaming WIFI instead which seems like much better bang for the buck to me as well as fitting in the case, with the saved moola meaning I could afford the DDR5 7600 which overclocks to 8400 with tightened timings (out of the box timings sucked ass making it barely faster than half decent 6000 sticks) and even managed to give me top spot on many of the 3DMark tests for a few weeks (still good in my opinion as I am running with a 200W PSU and NH-L9a-AM5).

    Bought this motherboard back in December of 2022. If you use your mini ITX PC, to carry it around with you to places, the addon card will fall out. I've had to RMA it once after 9 months of use. The USB 4 ports might not actually be USB 4, but just Thunderbolt 3. And a minor nitpick, but the volume dial on the hive controller only adjust volume with headphones plugged into it. So if you have a seperate DAC or use audio from an HDMI port, which is pretty much me all the time, the volume dial on the hive is pretty much useless. Still tho, there's no other mini-ITX AM5 Motherboards with that much features.

    The whole point of building ITX is minimalism. This board forces you to use an external Puck. What's minimal about that?

      You Don't have to use it if you don't want it, but it's great to have that option, don't you think? Having the post LEDs were so helpful when I tried to troubleshoot mine! :)

    • @blahorgaslisk7763
      @blahorgaslisk7763 27 днів тому

      ITX always cuts into the possible features. It's a fact of the formfactor. The immediate thing is the expansion slots. ITX only have the space for one and that's what you get. Space for drive controllers Sound and all other "good things" are also limited, especially M.2 slots take up a lot of space. So either you get used to having just one M.2 or you will have something interesting going on. So yes there are a lot of specials on this one, but then it also have a lot more functions than you usually see on a ITX card. Does it annoy your sensibility? Tough luck, it's not a motherboard for you. But at the same time just about any other ITX board will suit you better, and they are almost certainly cheaper but at the same time no where near as capable.

    While I’m happily running the last gen Impact DTX from ASUS, reviewing and promoting ASUS boards is not a good look in the computer tech sphere. Right now it either looks ignorant to the widespread issues, or shilling for a problematic company. Not saying you are either, but it’s not a thing I would recommend right now.

      ASUS ROG Strix B650E-I Gaming WIFI
      Gigabyte B650I Aorus Ultra
      ASRock B650E PG-ITX WIFI
      The Asrock should be about $100 to $120 cheaper than the ASUS ROG Strix X670E-I Gaming WIFI. The MSI MPG B650I Edge WIFI is probably the cheapest and should be something like $150. perhaps $200 cheaper than the one in the video. Now I have only checked the prices on a European site so I may be way off on the prices.
