There’s also the fact that they were own on where they have their own Haki and a man adept enough to teach Luffy what he needed to know to beat Kaido. Let them learn of when the time comes.
Also, often times something needs to happen to awake the base haki in the first place, like during battle or something like that. The crew needs to unlock it on their own before Luffy can do anything to help them

I would honestly hope to see at least one of the Commanders teach it. A simple “Hey Chopper, would you like to learn Haki, this is how it works and how it would benefit you” the crew sees and wants to learn too and then they as a crew become a lot stronger and up to date. 😅
