Phil Harding, one of the busiest mixing engineer of the 80's and 90's based at PWL Studios has probably mixed more hits than any we can think of. He is hugely talented and now just got his doctorate in music production. This video was recorded in 2010 with George Shilling asking the questions.

weird that a "recording" youtube channel would have such "shyt" sound.. really what is this? mono room mics?.. its that the "fun" mic that "producers" love to put in front of the kit and "crush".. have you gents heard of Lav mics?.. perhaps you might have "reviewed" them.. jeez
